Objective To analyze the clinical treatment effect of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Methods 160 patients with COPD from December 2014 to December 2016 in our hospital were enrolled in this study.and randomly divided into two groups.The control group was treated with western medicine only.The observation group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine.The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared.Results The effective rate was 88.75% in the observation group and 76.25% in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, FEV1 was(1.85±0.42) L and FVC was(1.64±0.33) L in the observation group.In the control group, FEV1 was(2.56±0.35) L, FVC was(2.32±0.37) L, the improvement of the observation group was more obvious(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions was 8.75% in the observation group and 7.50% in the control group, the difference was not statistically significant.Conclusion The clinical effect of traditional Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of COPD is remarkable and worthy of promotion.

Objective To establish an HPCE method for the determination of oxymatrine in Compound Kushen Colon-specific Capsula.Methods Amphetamine sulfate was used as the internal standard.The separation was obtained with silica capillary column(50 cm ? 50 ?m,effective length 45 cm),30 mmol/L phosphate buffer(pH 5.8)at a constant voltage of 20 kV,and temperature at(25?1)℃,the detective wavelength 214 nm.Results The linear determination range was 30—240 ?g/mL and the average recovery and RSD were 99.54% and 1.85%,respectively.Conclusion The method is simple and accurate,and can be used for quality control of Compoud Kusheng Colon-specific Capsula.

Traditional Chinese herbal medicines have been used for treating various ailments since medicine be- gan.The belief that natural products are much safer than synthetic drugs has led to dramatic growth of herbal medi- cine usage.Like synthetic drugs,herbal preparations also have potential to cause adverse effects and drug interac- tions.In this paper,pharmacokinetic studies on herb- drug interactions are reviewed and discussed in order to promote usage of herbs rationally and safely.

ObjectiveTo investigate the personnel structure,academic composition,psychological status,nursing behavior and management of the assistant nurses. MethodsThe age,educational structure,mental state and management of 110 assistant nurses were surveyed in our hospital from August 2008 to July 2011,and the results were analyzed. ResultsAmong 110 assistant nurses,24～26 year- old accounted for 60％,tertiary education accounted for 20.9％,working age mostly between 2～3 years.Depression,fear,worry,anxiety,regret,etc.were the most prominent state of mind of nurses. ConclusionsThe old and new with mentoring,early implementation of psychological interventions,maintenance of their self- esteem and strengthening the humanistic quality training can effectively stabilize psychological state of assistant nurses.The implementation of people- centered care management model not only can improve the overall professional quality of the nurses,but also can reach the ultimate goal of nurses,patients,hospitals tripartite benefit.

Objective To evaluate the inhibitory effect of phase change doxorubicin loaded carboxymethyl hexanoyl chitosan nanodroplet on ovarian cancer cells,and the effect of its ultrasound image in vitro.Methods The carboxymethyl hexanoyl chitosan synthesized through the acylationreaction with carboxymethyl chitosan and hexanoic anhydride.The drug loaded carboxymethyl hexanoyl chitosan nanodroplets were prepared by ultrasonic emulsification.The surface morphology,particle diameter and electric potential were characterized.Ultrasound imaging of the nanodroplet was evaluated in vitro.The encapsulation efficiency was determined by ultraviolet spectrophotometry.The survival rate of ovarian cancer cell was detected using CCK-8 reagent.The statistical analysis was performed.Results The drug loaded carboxymethyl hexanoyl chitosan nanodroplet was successfully prepared which showed regular morphology in microscope,the mean diameter of (458.33± 43.50)nm.The encapsulation efficiency was (52.06 ± 10.14)％.The nanodroplet could enhance ultrasonic imaging.The survival rate of ultrasound combined with drug loaded nanodroplet group ([62.54± 3.60]％) was lower than those of the free drug group ([75.55±7.21]％) and drug loaded nanodroplet group ([76.18±4.94]％),ultrasound group ([89.90±0.83]％;P＜0.05).Conclusion Ultrasound-mediated drug loaded nanodroplet can inhibit ovarian cancer cells,and has the potential for application in the clinical diagnosis and treatment.

Objective To understand the pathogenetic role and clinical significance of interleukin 6(IL－ 6 ),tumor necrosis factor(TNF) and soluble interleukin－ 2 receptor(sIL－ 2R) in patients with cerebral infarction(CI) .Methods The IL－ 6,TNF and sIL－ 2R levels were measured in 46 CI patients with ELISA. Results The serum IL－ 6,TNF and sIL－ 2R levels of CI group were much higher than those of controls group .The variation of IL－ 6,TNF and sIL－ 2R levels was closely related to the size of cerebral infarction. The serum IL－ 6,TNF and sIL－ 2R levels of recovery period were much lower than those of acute period in patients with CI .Conclusions The IL－ 6 ,TNF and sIL－ 2R take part in the pathologic process after CI .The measurement of IL－ 6, TNF and sIL－ 2R is useful in determining the size of cerebral infarction.

Objective To investigate the role of protein phosphorylation in Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P.aeruginosa) strains in response to stress triggered by mouse macrophages.Methods The strong cation exchange-immobilized metal affinity chromatography (SCX-IMAC) was performed to enrich phosphopeptides.The nanoscale liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (nano LC-MS/MS) was carried out to identify and analyze phosphoproteome.Results Fourteen phosphopeptides from twelve proteins were identified within thirty-one phosphorylation sites on serine,threonine and tyrosine residues.Fifty percent of these phosphorylated proteins were membrane proteins,indicating that their phosphorylation modification was more critical for bacteria in response to the stress.In terms of biological process of Gene Ontology,these identified proteins were involved in stress response,iron transport,anaerobic respiration,response to hydrogen peroxide and signal transduction by phosphorylation,etc.Conclusion These phosphorylated proteins in P.aeruginosa strains are necessary for signal transduction and their response to harsh environment within the macrophages,such as iron limitation,hypoxia and oxidative stress.This study provides evidence for further investigation on virulence and pathogenesis of P.aeruginosa.

Objective By using digital three-dimensional (3D) model of abdominal and pelvic vessels to investigate the relationship between the angle/position of the bifurcation of bilateral common iliac arteries and the length of the common iliac artery, thus to guide the endovascular interventional catheterization manipulation. Methods A total of 439 patients, who received abdominal and pelvic CTA at authors’ department during the period from Sep. 2011 to May 2013, were included in this study. By using digital 3D reformation technique, the 3D model of the abdominal and pelvic vessels as well as the lumbosacral vertebrae was established in all patients. With the help of mimics and geomagic software the angles between the left and right common iliac arteries and the lengths of common iliac arteries were determined, and the lumbar vertebra corresponding to the bifurcation of common iliac arteries was recorded. Using statistical software, the relationship between the bifurcation angle of bilateral common iliac arteries and the corresponding lumbar vertebra as well as the length of common iliac arteries was analyzed. Results The digital 3D model of the abdominal and pelvic vessels as well as the lumbosacral vertebrae was successfully reconstructed in all 439 patients. Both the angle between the left and right common iliac arteries and the corresponding lumbosacral level of bifurcation angle were clearly demonstrated on the model. The average angle was 49.1° ± 12.4°. The bifurcation was located at L3 -L4 level in 38 cases, at upper one-third level of L4 in 63 cases, at middle one third level of L4 in 89 cases, at lower one-third level of L4 in 135 cases and at L4 -L5 level in 114 cases. The average length of the left and right common iliac artery was (45.6 ± 15.6) mm and (43.3 ± 15.4) mm respectively. Pearson correlation analysis indicated that a negative correlation existed between the angle and the position level of the left and the right common iliac artery (r = -0.172, P< 0.05), and a negative correlation also existed between the angle and the length of the common iliac artery (left: r = -0.171, P<0.05; right: r = -0.164, P < 0.05). Conclusion The lower the opening position of the left and right common iliac artery is, and the bigger the intersection angle is, the shorter the length of corresponding common iliac artery will be. In this case, catheterization via femoral artery to contralateral iliac artery is a short path, and the catheterization procedure is easy to manipulate with higher success rate. On the contrary, the catheterization will be difficult, and the use of loop-technique will be needed. The digital 3D model of the abdominal and pelvic vessels as well as the lumbosacral vertebrae can help select the optimal catheterization path.

Objective To explore the role and mechanism of microRNA-15b in the regulation of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) of human peritoneal mesothelial cells (HPMCs).Methods PCR assay was used to determine the expression of microRNA-15b in the HMrSV5 induced by 138mmol/L high glucose for 24 h.MicmRNA-15b mimic or inhibitor was transfected into human peritoneal mesothelial cells (HMrSV5) to over-express or down-regulate microRNA-15b.The cells were then incubated with 138 mmol/L high glucose for 24 h,and the expressions of E-cadherin(E-Cad),Vimentin (VIM),Fibronectin(FN) and Smad7 were detected by real-time PCR and Western blotting respectively.Results microRNA-15b in the HMrSV5 ceils was over-expressed and down-regulated.Increased level of microRNA-15b was obtained in HMrSV5 cells treated with high glucose.In vitro,high glucose led to the up-regulation of vimentin as well as fibronectin and the down-regulation of E-cadherin in HMrSV5 cells (all P ＜ 0.05),which indicated EMT and fibrosis.Suppression of microRNA-15b by transfection with microRNA-15b inhibitor partially reversed the EMT and fibrosis changes (P ＜ 0.05),while over-expression of microRNA-15b by transfection with microRNA-15b mimic obviously enhanced the EMT and fibrosis changes (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions MicroRNA-15b mediates high glucose induced EMT in human peritoneal mesothelial cells by the inhibition of Smad7 possibly.MicroRNA-15b maybe a new target for the prevention and treatment of peritoneal fibrosis during peritoneal dialysis (PD).

Objective:To investigate the effect of gemcitabine on myeloid derived suppressor cells (MDSC) in the spleen of B lymphoma cell-bearing mice, and the therapeutic effect of gemcitabine combined with intratumoral injection of dendritic cells (DCs) in treatment of large B lymphoma. Methods: BALB/c mice were inoculated subcutaneously with B lymphoma A20 cells; large tumors were formed 30 d after inoculation. Gr-1~+ CD11b~+ MDSC proportion in the spleen was analyzed by flow cytometry before and after gemcitabine treatment. Splenic MDSC sorted by immunomagnetic beads was further treated with gemcitabine, and then the apoptosis of MDSC was examined by Annexin-V/PI staining. Tumor growth and survival time of A20 tumor-bearing mice were observed after treatment with gemcitabine and intratumoral injection of DCs. Results: Splenic Gr-1~+ CD11b~+ MDSC ratio in A20 cell-bearing mice was 10 times higher than that in the normal mice. Gemcitabine induced apoptosis and necrosis of purified MDSC in vitro in a time-dependent manner. The percentage of MDSC in the spleen of A20 tumor-bearing mice was decreased after injection of a single dose of gemcitabine. Gemcit-abine or intratumoral injection of DCs alone inhibited growth of tumor to a certain degree, with the mean survival periods of mice in the gemcitabine, DCs, and untreated groups being (48.8±3.6) d, (47.2±7.4) d, and (38.8±2.2) d, respectively. Gemcitabine chemotherapy combined with intratumoral DC injection resulted in continuous shrink of the tumors, and 60% of the mice survived for more than 90 d. Conclusion: Gemcitabine can effectively eliminate splenic MDSC in tumor-bearing mice. Gemcitabine chemotherapy and DCs immunotherapy can work synergistically in the treat-ment of huge lymphoma. These results provide an experimental basis for the comprehensive chemotherapy and immunotber-apy of relapsed or refractory lymphoma.
