Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(06):-
Objective To analyze what will create after oxidation in Shenchang Injection, the oxidated mechanism, and isomerous conversion of ?-asarone and borneol in it. Methods To analyze the sample of Shenchang Injection before and after oxidation by GC-MS and to compare the composition of ?-asarone and borneol before and after sterilization. Results Some of ?-asarone was oxidized and changed to asarylaldehyde (about 0.88%—2.82% of total composition ) and saishinone (about 0.24%—0.46% of total composition), some of the borneol and isoborneol was oxidized and changed to camphor when three samples of Shenchang Injection are oxidized; some of ?-asarone (cis-) change to ?-asarone (trans-, about 1%—2%), (7.85?7.27)% of the isoborneol (cis-) changed to borneol (trans-) when sterilized at 100 ℃ for 30 min. Conclusion ?-Asarone and borneol in Shenchang Injection are involved in the oxidated reaction and have isomerous conversion after high pressure sterilization.

METHODS: 60 cases were divided into two groups A and B randomly.30 cases in group A were treated with Fuzheng Jiedu Granule combined with western medicine Betaloc and Isosorbide Dinirrate;30 cases in group B were given only western medicine. The period of treatment was 4 weeks.Another 15 healthy cases selected as group C(healthy control group). Before and after treatment, the clinical effects were observed, meanwhile, some biochemical indexes such as CK,LDH,Na~+-K~+-ATPase,Ca~(2+)-ATPase in RBC membrane,NO,NOS,Ni in serum were measured with clinic test methods. Finally, the experimental results were compared and analyzed in the three groups mentioned above. RESULTS: The therapeutic effect of symptoms and signs of group A was superior to that of group B(P

This article was aimed to study pretreatment method of styrene type macroporous resin and its application in the industrial production. The organic residues and heavy metals of styrene type macroporous resin were detected respectively by gas chromatography and atomic absorption spectrophotometry before and after pretreatment to optimize the pretreatment process. The results showed that contents of organic residues and heavy metals of styrene type macroporous resin with the preferred method of pretreatment are in line with relevant regulations. It was concluded that this pretreatment method was simple and feasible, which is suitable to be applied in the industrial production.

To investigate the quality of different parts of Radix Fici Hirtae. The content and components of volatile oils and ethanol-extracts from different parts of Radix Fici Hirtae were analyzed by the combination of gas chromatography and mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The content of volatile oils in the cortex was higher than that in the xylem and the chemical components either in the cortex or in the xylem are similar. The main components in volatile oils are hexadecanoic acid, oleic acid+linoleic acid, linoleic acid amide, palmitic acid amide, stearic acid amide and dibutyl phthalate. The main components in ethanol-extracts are psoralen, hexadecanoic acid, hexadecanoic acid ethyl ester, bergapten, oleic acid and linoleic acid. The content of psoralen in the cortex was higher than that in the xylem.[Conclusion]The chemical components in different parts of Radix Fici Hirtae are similar but the contents of volatile components and psoralen are higher in the cortex than those in the xylem.

Objective To investigate the applicability of the digitized standard of GC-MS characteristic fingerprint in GC. Methods The GC-MS and GC were used to analyze the essential components of thirteen batches of Amomum villosum samples. The digitized standard of characteristic fingerprint of Amomum villosum essential oil was compared with the result of the samples detected by GC-MS and GC. Results Ten essential characteristic components have been identified in thirteen batches of Amomum villosum samples, and their relative content was (88.15?2.97)%,which are the representative components. The main components were ?-pinene,camphene,?-pinene,?-myrcene,limonene,linalol,camphor,isoborneol,borneol and borneol acetate. With the ten components as indexes, the sample similarity calculated by cosin method was 0.994~1.000 when analyzed by GC-MS and GC,0.978~0.999 when analyzed by GC-MS and the digitized standard of GC-MS characteristic fingerprint, and 0.986~0.998 when analyzed by GC and the digitized standard of GC-MS characteristic fingerprint. Conclusion The digitized standard of GC-MS characteristic fingerprint of Amomum villosum can be used in GC,which will ensure the comparison of results obtaining at different time by different types of machines,on different chromatographic columns and under different conditions. The method can be used for quality evaluation of Amomum villosum.

ObjectiveTo discuss the diagnosis and treatment of rupture of spleen in a base-level hospital with limited conditions. MethodsThe clinical data, diagnosis of bleeding by ultrasound, and results of (nonoperative) and operative treatment of 317 patients with rupture of spleen in Vila Central Hospital of the (Republic) of Vanuatu were retrospectively analyzed. ResultsUltrasound diagnosed 30 patients with (subcapsular) hemorrhage and 287 patients with true rupture of spleen. Based on ultrasound results, (conservative) treatment was used for 29 patients and 288 patients underwent operation. Conclusions(Ultrasonography) had a high positive diagnostic rate for rupture of spleen, and the diagnosis of bleeding volume was consistent with the findings at operation. The findings on ultrasonography can be considered in selection of cases with appropriate indications for splenectomy. Ultrasonography is an effective method for use in the (treatment) of rupture of spleen.

Objective To study the feasibility, safety, indications and possible advantages of minimally invasive surgery over traditional open surgery in treating pancreatic body or tail lesions. Methods From December 2009 to December 2014,the clinical data of 71 patients with lesions in pancreatic body or tail who underwent minimally invasive distal pancreatectomy (MIDP) or open distal pancreatectomy (ODP) at the General Surgery of Huadong Hospital were retrospectively analyzed. There were 22 patients in the MIDP group and 49 patients in the ODP group. The operations in 15 patients in the MIDP group were performed by the Da Vinci robot-assisted surgical system and 7 patients by laparoscopic distal pancreatectomy. Results The MIDP group had a shorter time to pass first flatus [(MIDP (2.5 ± 1.0) d vs ODP (3.5 ±1.0)d,P < 0.05],and shorter postoperative hospital stay [(MIDP (15.2 ± 7.9) d vs ODP (23.4 ±21.2) d,P < 0.05] than the ODP group. There were no significant differences on total pancreatic fistula rate [MIDP 45.5% (10/22) vs ODP 55.1% (27/49),P > 0.05] and symptomatic postoperative pancreatic fistula rate [MIDP 18.2% (4/22) vs ODP 18.4% (9/49),P > 0.05] between the two groups. The MIDP group had a significant longer operative time [MIDP (246.3 ±75.3)min vs ODP (168.1 ±33.7)min,P<0.05] than the ODP group. Conclusions Minimally invasive surgery is safe and feasible in treatment of lesions in pancreatic body or tail with less trauma and faster recovery. The application of robotic surgery has expanded the treatment options for lesions in pancreatic body or tail.
