Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition 2001;8(1):21-24
Objectives:To study the colonic adaptation of short bowel rats by enteral nutrition plus fiber treatment. Methods:The short bowel rats were randomized into two groups:feed by Pepti-2000(EN) and by Pepti-2000 plus fiber(EF);and another normal rats as control(CONT) group. The nutritional states and morphologic changes of the colon were investigated. Results:From postoperative days(PODs) 15,the weight of EF group was increasing and greater than EN group after PODs 18.The net nitrogen balance in EF group was almost the same as CONT,but greater than EN group. All the mucosal thickness, villous height and surface area of the colon in EF group were greater than CONT and EN group(P<0.001).DNA index and percentage of S phase cells of the colonic mucous in study groups were higher than CONT group(P<0.05).Also the levels of colonic mucous IGF-1 mRNA in study groups were higher than in CONT group(P<0.05). Conclusions:Enteral nutrition plus fiber can not only promote nutritional states;but enhance colonic adaptation to the short bowel rats.

Objective To investigate the prevalence of resistant Neisseria gon orrhoeae and plasmid-mediated resistant strains in Guangzhou from 1996 to 2001. Methods The resistant N.gonorrhoeae and plasmid-mediated resistant strains to tetracycline (TRNG) were determined using agar dilution method, and penicillinas e-producing N. gonorrhoeae (PPNG) by acidometric method. Results A total of 793 gonococcal isolates were tested from 1996 to 2001. The resistant rate for penic illin increased from 57.2%to 81.8%and PPNG from 2%to 27.2%, respectively, du ring the six years. Resistance to tetracycline remained high and stable over the years, while the rates of TRNG were increased from 1.5%to 27.2%. Conclusions The prevalence of plasmid-mediated resistant strains of N. gonorrhoeae increase s year by year in Guangzhou. These results suggest that the clinical isolates of gonococcal strains in this city are highly resistant to penicillin and tetracyc line.

Aim:To predict ability of self-care at discharge of inpatients with first-ever cerebral infarction. Method: 346 stroke patients with first-ever cerebral infarction admitted to our hospital were analyzed, male 187,female 159,the average age was 63. 90± 11. 40 years and the average length of stay 36. 53±27.03days. Patients were divided into two groups, self-care and non self-care according to discharged outcome.Nineteen factors were selected from casenote and reports of laboratory and special exam such as EKG,CT or/and MRI. All material were analyzed (t test and X2 test, multiple regression). Result:The age in single factor analysis (P<0. 01)and six factors in regression analysis were significant differences in predicting discharged outcome between two groups. Conclusion:Main factors to predict the ability of self-care at discharge of inpatients were infarction of 1eft brain, large area, multiple focus, and accepted aphasia, arrhythmia as well as hemipareses, This research could be used for clinician to set a discharge plan and a guideline to select patients in early rehabilitation programs.

Objective Using STI and WMSI to evaluate the change of the heart sarcomere local systolic function which suffered from coronary heart disease (CHD), to evaluate the improvement of ischemic heart sarcomere local systolic function after PCI. Methods There are 40 CHD patients after PCI called the treatment group and 40 healthy persons called the control group. Echocardiogram was used to evaluate the change of ventricular wall motion score in the treatment group which was before and 1 week after PCI , compared with the control group. STI is used to get the SLs, GSL and SrLe of the left ventricle six walls in basal segment, middle segmentand apical segment systole. Results The ventricular wall motion index of the left ventricular myocardium obviously rose in CHD patients which was after PCI, compared with the control group (P < 0.05). And it obviously reduced in CHD patients after PCI, compared with CHD patients before PCI(P < 0.05). The results of SLs,GSL and SrLe are reduced in myocardial ischemia segment of CHD patients before PCI,compared with the control group (P < 0.05). But they are significantly improved in the the treatment group 1 week after PCI, compared to which is before PCI(P < 0.05). Conclusion STI and WMS can be used to evaluate the abnormal of regional and global function of myocardium which is caused to coronary artery stenosis the effect of PCI. The left ventricular motion function of CHD is decreased, but the left ventricle regional systolic function of hypokinetic segments in patients with CHD after PCI is significantly increased.

ObjectiveTo explore the clinical diagnosis and surgical treatment of primary retroperitonealneurilemoma(schwannoma). MethodsClinicaldataof 47patientsof primary retroperitoneal schwannoma admitted and surgically treated from January 1995 to December 2009 were retrospectivelly reviewed.ResultsAs diagnosed by pathology there were 36 cases of Benign schwannoma, with a median age at onset of 41years, among those 11 patients were symptomatic, and 25 were asymptomatic. There were 11 malignant 11 cases, the median age was 38 years, among those 6 patients were symptomatic, and 5 were asymptomatic. The positive diagnostic rate of preoperative CT and MRI were 36. 2% ( 17/47 ) and 58. 3% ( 7/12 ) respectively. Immunohistochemically positive rates of S-100 were 100% and 81.8%(9/11) in benign and malignant group respectively. All cases underwent surgical treatment. Surgical resection rates for benign and malignant groups were 100% and 90. 9%(10/11)respectively. There was no perioperative death, Overall 5-year survival rates were 100% and 45.5% for benign and malignant tumors groups respectively. In benign group 2 cases recurred, in malignant group 4 cases recurred, and 3 had distant metastasis.ConclusionsPrimary retroperitoneal schwannomas are less common. It is difficult to make an accurate preoperative diagnosis. Surgery is the most effective therapy.Prognosis is good for benign and poor for malignant retroperitoneal neurilemomas.

Objective To verify the relationship between transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1) and interleukin-10 (IL-10) in breast milk and allergic diseases development in infants. Methods Totally 191 mothers (99 allergics and 92 controls) and their full-term newborns participated in this prospective study on development of children atopy. Maternal blood, cord blood, colostrum and mature milk were assayed for TGF-β1 and IL-10 by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Infants underwent pediatrician evaluation for allergic diseases at six months old. Concentrations of TGF-β1 and IL-10 from allergic and non-allergic mothers and prevalence of allergic diseases of infants were compared. Results The level of IgE in allergic mothers was 30 750 IU/L(6600-410000 IU/L),lower than that in non-allergic mothers[50000 IU/L(7100-610000 IU/L)](Z=-3. 444,P=0. 001).No difference in the concentration of TGF-β1, IL-10 and IgE in mature milk was observed between allergic and non-allergic mothers. TGF-β1, IL-10 and IgE levels in colostrum of allergic mothers were 2300 pg/ml(620-7000 pg/ml), 12. 8 pg/ml(7.5-560.0 pg/ml)and 7000 IU/L(5100-56000 IU/L),significantly higher than those in non-allergic mothers[1830 pg/ml(1240-9400 pg/ml), 11. 1 pg/ml (7. 2-630.0 pg/ml)and 6700 IU/L(5200-35000 IU/L)] (Z=-2. 215, -2. 730 and -2. 706,P<0.05).In both allergic and non-allergic mothers, TGF-β1 and IL-10 levels in cord blood were higher than those in maternal blood, while IgE was lower. TGF-βl and IL-10 and IgE levels in colostrum were higher than mature milk(P<0.05). At six months old, the prevalence of allergic diseases of infants from allergic mothers(59. 6%, 59/99) was significantly higher than those from non-allergic mothers (21. 7%, 20/92)(x2= 28. 177, P= 0. 000). The prevalence of allergic diseases of infants who completed two weeks' colostrum-fed after birth (44.5 %, 73/164) was significantly higher than those who did not (22.2%,6/27)(x2 =4. 749,P-=0. 029). Conclusions High concentration of TGF-βl and IL-10 in colostrum does not show any protective effect against allergic diseases in infants. The prevalence of allergic diseases of colostrum-fed infants is significantly higher than non colostrum-fed infants, showing that colostrum-fed might play a role in allergic diseases development.

Chinese Journal of Cancer Biotherapy 2020;27(3):267-272
Objective: To explore the effect of circ_0005075 on the proliferation and invasion of liver cancer cells and its underlying mechanism. Methods:Atotal of 35 cases of cancer tissues and corresponding para-cancerous tissues from liver cancer patients, who underwent surgical resection in Tangshan Workers’Hospital from March 2015 to March 2018, were collected for this study. qPCR was used to detect the expression levels of circ_0005075 and miR-335 in liver cancer tissues, para-cancerous tissues, liver cancer cell lines (HCCC9810, HepG2, HLE and hepatic epithelial THLE-3 cells). Dual luciferase reporter gene assay was used to verify the targeting relationship among circ 0005075, mir-335 and CCND1. By using liposome-mediated method, Sh-circ_0005075, miR-335 mimics, miR335 mimics+pcDNA-CCND1, sh-circ_0005075+pcDNA-CCND1, pcDNA-circ_0005075+miR-335 mimics, sh-CCND1+pcDNA-circ_ 0005075 were transfected into HCCC9810 cells, respectively. The effects of circ_0005075/miR-335/CCND1 molecular axis on the proliferation and invasion of HCCC9810 cells were detected by MTT and Transwell methods. Results: circ_0005075 was highly expressed in liver cancer tissues and cell lines (P<0.01) ,and the highest expression in HCCC9810 cells (P<0.05). Dual luciferase reporter gene results showed that circ_0005075 negatively regulated miR-335 (P<0.05), and CCND1 was a target gene of miR-335 (P<0.05). Further experiments proved that knockdown of circ_0005075 or overexpression of miR-335 could inhibit the proliferation and invasion of HCCC9810 cells by regulating CCND1(P<0.05 or P<0.01) . Conclusion: Circ_0005075 upregulates the expression level of CCND1 by sponging miR-335, thereby promoting the proliferation and invasion of HCCC9810 cells.

Objective:
To explore the effect of pre- and post-adaptive statistical iterative reconstruction-Veo (ASiR-V) on image quality and radiation dose in paranasal sinus CT, and to find the best combinations.
Methods:
One head specimen was scanned with the routine spiral CT scanning parameters [noise index (NI)=8] and different levels of pre-ASiR-V (0—100%, with an interval of 10%). The images were reconstructed with different post-ASiR-V (0—100%, with an interval of 10%) for the bone algorithm and standard algorithm. All of 242 thin-layer images of paranasal sinuses were obtained. The region of interest (ROI) was selected to measure the CT value to calculate the contrast to noise ratio (CNR) and figure of merit (FOM). The volume CT dose index (CTDIvol) and Smart mA were recorded. The linear regression was conducted to analyze the relationship between CTDIvol, SmartmA, CNR and FOM. And with the same pose-ASiR-V level, the CNR of images which reconstructed by bone and soft algorithms were compared with pair-wise

A sub-microsecond pulse generation applied for electroporation effects of tumor cell is presented in this paper. The principle of the generator is that the expected pulse waveform is intercepted from the RC discharge curve by controlling the on-off states of two IGBT modules with a synchronous controller. Experimental tests indicate that the generator can produce adjustable pulse waveform parameters with 0.5-3.5kV amplitude, 300-800 ns pulse duration, 1-400Hz repetition frequency rate, and it is suitable for the study of the electroporation effect experiments.

Journal of Southern Medical University 2013;33(5):756-760
OBJECTIVETo assess the feasibility and safety of thoracoscopic bulla resection under laryngeal mask anesthesia with low tidal volume high-frequency lung ventilation.
METHODSSixty patients with pulmonary bulla were randomized into two groups (n=30) to undergo video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) for bulla resection with laryngeal mask anesthesia and high-frequency low tidal volume lung ventilation general anesthesia and or with intubation anesthesia and one-lung ventilation through double-lumen endotracheal intubation.
RESULTSNo significant differences were found in anesthesia time, surgery time, intraoperative lowest SpO2, intraoperative highest PetCO2, operative field, anesthetic effects, or blood loss between the two groups. The post-operative WBC and NEU% showed significantly smaller increments in the mask anesthesia group than in the intubation group, and the postoperative awake time, initial eating time, ambulation time, in-hospital stay, and drainage time were significantly shortened in the former group with also lower incidences of gastrointestinal reactions, throat discomfort and hoarseness.
CONCLUSIONThoracoscopic bulla resection under laryngeal mask anesthesia with low tidal volume high-frequency lung ventilation is safe and feasible and results in better patient satisfaction and shorter in-hospital stay than procedures performed under intubation anesthesia with one-lung ventilation.
