Modern Hospital 2014;(8):61-62
Objective To investigate the effects of hypertonic saline in the treatment of children with critical hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD).Methods The 250 pediatric patients with HFMD hospitalized from January 2011 to Januar-y 2013 in our hospital were randomized into the control group treated routinely and the experimental group treated with hyper-tonic saline on the basis of general conventional treatment .The therapeutic effect and sodium ion concentration in the children of two groups were observed and compared. Results The treatment effect of the experimental group was obviously better than that of the control group (p<0.05).Sodium ion concentration and incidence of adverse reactions in two groups before treat-ment showed no significant differences (p>0.05), while the sodium ion concentration of the experimental group was much higher than that of the control group on the 4th and 6th treatment day (p<0.05).Conclusion Hypertonic saline treatment can significantly enhance the therapeutic effect, increase the sodium ion concentration and improve the prognosis in children with critical HFMD.Therefore, hypertonic saline treatment for patients with clinical HFMD has a very important clinical sig-nificance and it is worth popularization and application.

Objective To evaluate the value of Orthopaedic POSSUM scoring system in predicting mortality and morbidity for the patients underwent femoral shaft fractures. Methods The mortality and incidence of postoperative complications was predicted with in a retrospective study of 155 cases of femoral shaft fractures. Results The estimated incidence of postoperative complications is 45/155, which has no statistical significance with the real incidence 39/155 (?2=0.59,P=0.44), The estimated morbidity by POSSUM is more accurate in high-risk subgroup than in low-risk one. The estimated mortality is 10/155, which also has no statistical significance with the real mortality 8/155 (?2=0.24,P=0.63).Conclusion The POSSUM scoring system can predict postoperative mortality and morbidity for the patients underwent femoral shaft fractures efficiently.

Journal of Environment and Health 1989;0(06):-
Objective To observe the effect of PM2.5 on the secretion of NO, ET-1 and the proliferation of rat vascular smooth muscle cell(VSMC) in vitro. Methods VSMCs were treated with PM2.5 collected from urban area of Zhanjiang,at the doses of 10,20,50,100 and 200 ?g/ml.After 24 hours of treatment, the levels of NO and ET-1 in the VSMCs were detected by nitrate reductase method and radioimmunoassay respectively, the proliferation of VSMCs was detected by MTT.Results At the concentrations of 10-200 ?g/ml, with PM2.5 increased, the level of NO in VSMCs decreased from(43.53 ?3.46)?mol/L to(29.28?2.28)?mol/L(F=18.89,P

Objective To explore the effects of urinastatin(UTI) on microcirculation of extra pancreatic organs in rats with acute necrotizing pancreatitis(ANP). Methods A total of 48 rats were randomized into control group, ANP group and UTI group. The model of ANP was established by uniform injection of 5% sodium taurocholate solution under pancreatic capsule, only injection of normal saline in control group. Then the rats of UTI group were injected with UTI through the femoral vein, the rats of ANP group and control group were injected with normal saline. The blood flow of lung, kidney and distal small intestine was measured by radioactive biomicrosphere technique at 2 h and 6 h after ANP.Results Compared with the control group, the blood flow of lung, kidney and intestine was decreased significantly in the ANP group at the 2 h and 6 h after ANP ( P

Objective:To observe effects of Shenkui Decoction on proliferation of ovarian cancer cell. Methods:The Shenkui Decoction- containing rat serum was prepared by using TCM serum pharmacological method, and effects of the drug containing serum on proliferation of ovarian cancer fresh parenchymatous tumor cells were investigated with 3H incorporation method, and effects of the drug-containing serum on proliferation of ovarian cancer cell line Tyk-nu cells were investigated by flow cytometry, cellular activity assay, cellular growth curve assay and cell colony formation rate assay. Results:The drug containing serum could inhibit proliferation of both fresh parenckymatous tumor cells and ovarian cancer cell line Tyk-nu cells, and the inhibitory rate raised with the increase of drug-containing serum content. Conclusion:The Shenkui Decoction-containing rat serum can inhibit proliferation of ovarian cancer fresh parenchymatous tumor cells and ovarian cancer cell line Tyk-nu cells.

Mastering the tools of database development is an effective way for administrative workers to improve the level of office automation. Microsoft Access 2003 is an excellent and easy-to-use development tool of applied programs. The use of it not only can lead to the development of practical application systems but is also advantageous to real-time maintenance and redevelopment. Very good results in actual work have been obtained through the use of an integrated personnel information administrative system developed by the authors with Microsoft Access 2003.

Objective To evaluate the value of reducing radiation dose with decreased size of ECG-pulsing windows and influence on image quality in dual-source CT coronary angiography. Methods 120 patients with stable heart rate(HR) were divided into four groups according to HR and the rang of ECG-pulsing windows in dual-source CT coronary angiography: HR < 70 bpm and 61% ~ 77% R-R interval of ECG-pulsing windows, HR < 70 bpm and 25% ~ 80% R-R interval of ECG-pulsing windows,HR > 80 bpm and 31% ~47% R-R interval of ECG-pulsing windows, and HR > 80 bpm and 25% ~ 80%R-R interval of ECG-pulsing windows was employed, respectively. The radiation dose parameters were recorded and image quality scores were performed. The image quality and radiation dose between two slow HR groups and between two fast HR groups were compared respectively. Result The effective doses were (7.06 ± 2. 13 ), ( 11.34 ± 3.65 ), ( 6. 67 ± 1.97 ) and ( 9. 92 ± 3. 15 ) mSy for four groups, respectively. The effective dose was decreased by 37.74% for slow HR and by 32. 76% for fast HR using narrow ECG-pulsing windows. There was no difference on image quality between two slow HR groups and two fast HR grouvs. Concluslons The proper application of narrow ECG-pulsing windows can reduce radiation exposure significantly to stable slow or fast HR patients in dual-source CT coronary angiography withont sacrificing the image quality.

Objective To evaluate the effect of Ganoderma lucidum on drug resistance of the cisplantin-resistant ovarian cancer cell line(A2780CP).Methods The A2780CP cells were randomly divided into control group and test group. The cells in control group and test group were incubated in culture media alone and in culture media containing Ganoderma lucidum 0.5 mg/ml for 48 h respectively. The resistance index(RI) of A2780CP was determined by WST-1 assay. The expression of Akt,Bcl-2 and p53 protein was measured by Western blot. Results The RI was significantly deeressed, the expression of Akt and Bcl-2 protein was down-regulated,while p53 protein expression was up-regulated in test group as compared with control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Ganoderma lueidum can reduce the resistance of A2780 CP cells to cisplantin by down-regulating the expression of Akt and Bcl-2 and up-regulating p53 expression in A2780CP cells.
