This study was designed to introduce basic components and sound-receiving effects of skin-hearing aid with transformer. This new device helped all people receive audible signals via skin, but the effects on discriminating phone were still not ideal. The experimental environment of the response of skin to audible signals was constructed for the theory research. The response on critical frequency and voltage among the transformer, the flat electrode and the skin has gotten in the experiment. It was discussed that the effect of the response of skin to audible signal between the key parts of device of hearing by skin with transformer and the skin. It was illustrated the practicability of skin hearing by sound-electricity converting. The skin-hearing aid, a low power consumption aid, was compared with traditional tools, such as hearing aid, electronic cochlea, and guide dogs, and the results proved the superiority of skin-hearing aid.

Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 1998;0(11):-
In order to arouse the working enthusiasm of the entire staff and give expression to the value of labor and skills, our hospital has implemented reform in the distribution system. Bonus given to clinical departments is linked both to the amount and quality of work and to economic profits; bonus to medico technical departments is given by means of deducting a percentage from the income and expenditure surplus in a way of progressive decrease; bonus given to functional departments is equivalent to 90% of the average bonus given to medical service departments; and bonus to logistical service departments is given, if possible, by the piece and mark. As a result of the reform, the distribution system has become more rational, the working enthusiasm and efficiency of the staff have been enhanced, operational income and income structure have improved, and social benefits bave been raised, with the satisfaction rate reaching over 90%. Of course, there still exist some difficulties in the reform.

Objective To find out factors affecting physicians' prescribing conduct so as to get rid of the negative effects and reduce medical costs. Methods Analyses were conducted by reviewing relevant literature published at home and abroad. Results Factors affecting physicians' prescribing conduct include: the medical security system, the hospital compensation mechanism, the requisitioning party, pharmaceuticals per se, and promotion of sales. Conclusion To get rid of the negative effects of physicians' prescribing conduct, it is necessary to rationalize the hospital compensation mechanism, strengthen the control of drug examination, approval, purchase and sale, and provide physicians with accurate pharmaceutical information.

Objective To establish a framework of indexes for assessing the composite results in TCM hospitals so as to promote their development. Methods Such methods and techniques as literature review, descriptive study, Delphi expert consultation, step analysis, composite index, weighted rank sum ratio, and correlation analysis as used by Kendall and others were adopted. Results The current situation regarding the allocation and utilization of health resources in a certain city was found out and a framework of indexes for assessing the composite results in TCM hospitals and the demarcation line for dividing the results into grades were defined. Conclusion The development of TCM hospitals in the city has reached a certain scale, the feature of TCM specialties forms a new growth point, and the framework of indexes for the assessment of composite results in TCM hospitals needs constant perfection.

AIM: To study the synergistic protective effect of picrosideII and NGF for the oxidative stress on PC12 cells induced by hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). METHODS: The fluorescent probe 6-carboxy-2',7'-dichlorodihydrofluorescein (CDCFH) was used to assess the intracellular reactiveoxygen species (ROS) level, and MTT assay, morphological observation as well aslactate dehydrogenase (LDH) leakage were conducted to measure cellular injury. RESULTS: The H2O2-induced cytotoxicity was significantly attenuated in the presence of picroside II (25 μg/mL) and NGF (2 ng/mL). Cultures with this combined treatment possessed decreased level of ROS while increased cell survival, as compared to that of picroside II or NGF alone-treated cells. Accordingly, it was concluded that their synergistic protective activities against oxidative stress in vitro were demonstrated in various aspects including reversing morphological changes, enhancingthe ability of cell proliferation and ROS scavenging. CONCLUSION: Such action supports the therapeutic potential of picroside II and NGF in treating nervous disorders based on their synergistic effect.

Objective To identify the determinants of average length of stay of 16 upper first-class general hospitals from 2000 to 2007.Methods Relative data of 16 upper first-class general hospitals from 2000 to 2007 were collected, and descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis were employed to explore the determinants of average length of stay. Results Operation ratio and days before operation of inpatients, ratio of salary to medical income, ratio of doctors to nurses, successful rescue rate in emergency, number of operation tables and staff had impact on average length of stay. Conclusion Resource allocation should be optimized, health care quality be enhanced, reasonable salary scheme be designed, and rational medical insurance policies be implemented in hospitals to shorten average length of stay.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2009;29(10):1242-1245
Objective To comprehensively evaluate the competitiveness of hospitals so as to provide objective referrences for the long-term development. Methods Competitiveness evaluation index system and evaluation model were established. Using related data of 2007, 16 hospitals nationwide were evaluated and factor scores and comprehensive scores were obtained by means of factor analysis. Results Four factors were extracted, which were "technical efficiency factor", "economic income factor", "sustainable development factor" and "resource allocation factor". All hospitals were ranked by each factor score and comprehensive score. Conclusion Each hospital has its advantages and disadvantages, therefore, hospital managers should constitute individual development strategy accordingly.

ObjectiveTo explore a new simple epicanthoplasty method fit for various types of epicanthus with inconspicuous scar after operation. Methods As the latest studies showed that the anatomical structure of epicanthus is mainly due to the eyelid orbicularis muscle's dislocation at the starting point of the medial canthal tendon, which affects the skin appearance, rather than the traditional view that was merely the excess skin,we released the adhesions between the skin and the inner canthus orbicularis muscle, and corrected the dislocation of orbicularis muscle that was key to the operation, incised along with the line A′→B→A″→ C in the field of interior canthus, separated the subcutaneous fascia tissue, relaxed the subcutaneous fibrous cord, disconnect the orbicularis muscle's attachment point in the inner canthal fold, and then sutured and folded the inner canthal ligament. After sewing up point A′ and point A″,the released skin retracted naturally and formed a new inner canthal contour.ResultsFrom June 2008 to June 2009,57 cases of epicanthus patients accepted this surgery. After operation, the appearance of canthus was nice.Eye fissure got widen, and the scar was not obvious. Also there was a high satisfactory rate.ConclusionsThis method has a broad range of applications. It is suitable for various types of epicanthus correction.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the methods of promoting nosocomial infection administration in laminar airflow(LAF) operation department, based on the theory of air microbe and object surface microbe. METHODS To begin with the construction standard of LAF operation department,to discuss difficult, complicating, professional and legal characteristics of nosocomial infection administration of LAF operating room. RESULTS It was a solid base of promoting nosocomial infection administrition to specify strictly the standard for the LAF operation department built;it was a vital link of promoting nosocomial infection administrition to take part in inspecting the engineering quality of LAF operation department;it is an effective means of LAF nosocomial infection administrition to carry out the supervision and control to the LAF operation department daily;it was the essense of promoting nosocomial infection administrition to make efforts to innovate the modern administration pattern in LAF operation department. CONCLUSIONS The management of hospital infection in the LAF operation department must emphasize the comprehensive measure of the all-directional germ control, make standard of decontamination of air conditioning guarantee system and carry out the whole process supervision.
