Objective To illustrate the possible sy nergistic effect of arsenic trioxide(As 2O 3) and uroacitides on inductio n of apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). M ethods HCC cell lines BEL-7402 and Hep G 2 were trea ted with As 2O 3 together with uroacitides for 4 successive days. Cell survi ving fraction was determined by MTT assay, morphological changes were observed b y immunofluorescence staining of Hoechst 33 258, cell cycle and the apoptosis in dex were determined by flow cytometry(FCM). Nude mouse bearing solid liver tumor was used in vivo experiments. Results With uroacitides added at the dosage of 1.0?g/L, apoptotic thres hold of As 2O 3 on hepatoma cell lines was reduced from 5.0??mol/L to 1.0??mol/L (P

Journal of Environment and Health 2007;0(09):-
Synthetic pesticides-pyrethroids have been widely used in agriculture and in households. Most of them are the environmental hormone substances. Pyrethroids have toxic effects on animals and humans, inducing teratogenicity, carcinogenicity and mutagenicity. In the present paper, the typical animals-fish,mice and rats were choosen for the health risk assessment, and the research progresses on adverse effects of pyrethroids in nervous toxicology, physiological and biochemical toxicology, reproductive toxicology were summerized,as well as the effects of the animal enzymes and immune system.

s:Objective To explore effect of the Tangshen Tongluo (TSTL) recipe on ET and ANP in patients with early diabetic nephropathy (DN). Methods 45 Cases of early DN patients were randomly divided into the TSTL recipe group (25 cases) and Lotensin group (20 cases). After the treatment of TSTL recipe and Lotensin, TCM symptom, the level of FBG, HbA1c, ET, ANP, TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C and urine micro albumen excretion rate (UAER) were detected. Results After the treatment of TSTL recipe and Lotensin, TCM symptom, the level of FBG, ET, ANP, TC, TG, LDL-C and UAER were found markedly lower in the TSTL recipe than that in the Lotensin group (P

Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2009;18(10):622-623,629
Objective To investigate the clinical value of PET-CT scans in lymphomatous patients in post-therapy evaluation. Methods 18F-FDG PET-CT imaging were performed in 40 lymphomatous patients whom had been received therapy. Successive PET-CT imaging were performed in 5 cases, and the treatment was evaluated with clinical evaluation. Results Successive PET-CT imaging were performed in 5 cases, in which the tumor was eradicated in 2 cases, improved in 2 cases, and relapsed in 1 case. In 35 patients PET-CT imaging was repeated after treatment, among them 30 cases with complete or partial remission, and PET-CT imaging was positive in 25 cases. PET-CT imaging was still positive in 8 cases with recurrent or remnant tumor. PET-CT imaging changed the therapeutic regime. Conclusion PET-CT imaging can detect the recurrent or remnant tumor sensitively and accurately. There is a significant value for the guidance of clinical therapeutic.

Journal of Clinical Neurology 1992;0(01):-
Objective To investigate the incidence of the post-stroke emotion disorder, the relationship between post-stroke emotion disorder and the location of stroke, and the effects of Paroxetine combined with psychotherapy in treating post-stroke emotion disorder. Methods 181 patients with acute brain stroke were assessed by SDS and SAS. Of these patients, 54 patients met the criteria of depression and anxiety after acute brain stroke. These 54 patients were divided into 2 groups randomly. They were treated with routine anti-stroke medication, routine anti-stroke medication with Paroxetine combined with psychotherapy for 6 weeks, respectively. The rating scales such as SSS, HAMD, HAMA, TESS and so on were used to evaluate the improvement of symptoms and side effects. Results According to the evaluation of SDS or SAS, there were 81 patients (44.75%) with post-stroke emotion disorder. The rate of post-stroke depression with anxiety was 66.67%. Post-stroke depression with anxiety was related to the location of brain stroke, such as frontal cortex, left cerebral hemisphere and basal ganglia (P

Objective To investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of ‘ group-head responsibility teaching method' in the physiology experiment teaching. Methods Totally 422 students of clinical medicine major in 2010 grade were randomly divided into two groups:212 students in control and 210 in study group. For students in control group, principles, procedures, items of experiment and computer operation were first taught, then experiment was performed while for those in study group, initial procedures were firstly explained, then the group heads were called together to observe the experiment preformed by teacher, after that the group heads returned to assist other students performing the experiment. Finally, experiment success rates, scores of final-term experiment operation, theoretical exam and report of two groups were compared and analyzed.Meanwhile, questionnaire survey was conducted. Results Success rates were improved significantly in study group than in control group (x2 =37.42,P =0.0000).There were significant differences in operation scores (t =4.3213,P =0.0000),theoretical exam scores (t =6.8744,P =0.0000) and report scores (t =15.298,P =0.0000) between the two groups. Conclusions ‘ Group-head responsibility teaching method' is better than traditional lecture-style teaching method and it can promote comprehensive capabilities of students.

Objective To investigate the type of gene mutation and its distribution in patients with thalassemia in Chongqing ,in order to guide prenatal and postnatal care .Methods PCR and membrane hybridization technology for α-thalassemia andβ-thalasse-mia gene detection .Results From September 2012 to September 2013 ,349 thalassemia patients were detected ,including 125 α-thalassemia patients and 211β-thalassemia patients .Based on genotypes ,gene deletions were the most common type of gene muta-tion of α-thalassemia patients .Southeast Asia deletion - -SEA/αα(accounted for 73 .60 % ) and the right deletion -3 .7/αα(ac-counted for 19 .20% ) were the major types of gene deletion .Forβ-thalassemia patinets ,the hot spots of mutation were CD17(A→T) ,CD41-42(-TCTT) and IVS-Ⅱ-654(C→ T) ,which accounted for 29 .38% ,28 .91% and 27 .49% respectively .α-thalassemia combined with β-thalassemia mutations were detected in 13 patients .Conclusion Studing the gene mutation types of thalassemia and its distribution provides valuable information for genetic counseling and clinical therapy in Chongqing .

Chinese Journal of Nervous and Mental Diseases 2014;(7):385-389
Objectives To examine the effects of enhanced external counterpulsation on arterial elasticity in stroke patients to provide clinical evidence for secondary prevention of patients with cerebral ischemic stroke. Methods Total 192 patients with ischemic stroke were enrolled and then divided into the EECP (n=107) and control (n=85) group. Auto-matic measurement synchronous atherosclerosis detector was use to measure brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity (BaP-WV) and cardio-ankle vascular index (CAVI). The difference of BaPWV and CAVI were evaluated before, at 36 hours and one month after EECP. Results The BaPWV and CAVI significantly decreased at 36 hours and 1 month after treat-ment in EECP groups compared to either pre-therapy or control groups (all P<0.05). Conclusions EECP can signifi-cantly reduce the BaPWV and CAVI and improve the arterial elasticity in patients with cerebral ischemic stroke. Thus, arterial elasticity may be an important index to evaluate the effects of EECP on cerebral ischemic stroke.
