Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(05):-
AIM: To investigate the effects of Qiwei Qianliening Tablets(QLN)(Radix paeoniae rubra,Semen Vaccariae,Semen Citri reticulatae, etc) on nonbacterial chronic prostatitis and its anti-inflammatory and analgesia activity. METHODS: Nonbacterial chronic prostatitis model was induced by injecting 25% Xiao Zhiling Injection into the prostate of rat and then coefficent of prostate and pathologic changes were observed.Anti-inflammatory effects were tested by cotton pelle-induced granuloma in rat.Analgesia activity was tested by hot-plate method. RESULTS: QLN inhibited the increase of prostate tissue weight and the histopathology showed resolving prostatitis in QLN-treated groups compared with the controls.Anti-inflammatory activity was confirmed in cotton pelle-induced granoluma in rat and QLN-treated groups extended the licking-paw latency in hot-plate method compared with the controls. CONCLUSION: Qiwei Qianliening Tablets has prevention and treatment effect on experimental nonbacterial chronic prostatitis.

Objective To assess the relationship between polymorphism of XRCC1 Arg194Trp Arg399Gln and ESCC TNM stage and regional lymph node metastasis. Methods PCR and PCR-RFLP were used to detect polymorphism of XRCC1 Arg194Trp and Arg399Gin. The results were analyzed and compared to TNM staging and regional lymph node metastasis. Results The XRCC1 194Arg/Trp and 399Arg/Arg wildtype in ESCC with metastasis is 32.3%, which is higher than 194Arg/Arg (20.0%, P=0.01). There was no remarkable difference between IIb-IV stage ESCC with lymph node metastasis and 0-IIa stage without metastasis. Conclusion The ESCC patients with 194 variability and 399 wildtype had high metastasis rate, XRCC1 Arg194Trp and Arg399Gln had relationship with ESCC TNM stage and lymph node metastasis. Both of them affected to prognosis of ESCC.

Orthopedic Journal of China 2006;0(04):-
[Objective]To analyze the biomechanics of different positions of femoral head-and-neck nail in fixation of proximal femoral fracture.[Method]Stable and unstable fracture models were made from 24 fresh femur specimens, and fixed with r-nail and DHS.Head-and-neck nails were placed in different positions to test their mechanical properties of anti-compression,anti-bending,anti-shearing and anti-torsion,and compared with each other.[Result]Mechanical properties of the femoral strength, stiffness, stability and loading capacity were tested and compared. To the stable fracture group,head-and-neck nail should be placed in middle-lower and posterior 1/3 of femoral neck, which leads to the best loading capacity. To the unstable fracture group,it should be placed between femoral head and neck, which lead to strong obliquity mechanics and valuable for bone union.[Conclusion]Confirm of the best position of femoral head-and-neck nail could improve the effect of fixation and enhance the surgical treatment of proximal femoral fracture.

ObjectiveTo retrospectively analyze the experience in the treatment of cardiac rupture caused by blunt chest trauma and to explore the approaches and methods to improve patient survival. Methods From 2004 to 2010,16 cases of closed chest trauma caused by cardiac rupture, who were treated in our hospital, were treated by heart repair using median sternotomy incision approach. Results Except for 1 patient occurred cardiac arrest before the establishment of CPB,who was failed for cardiopulmonary resuscitation after surgical repair, the remaining 15 patients were all successfully treated. Conclusion The diagnosis of cardiac rupture should be made as soon as possible once it occurs.Timely and decisive rescue and emergency surgery should be given.Heart repair can greatly improve the patient's survival.

An on-site method for the determination of sulfur mustard ( SM) was developed based on pinhole shell-isolated nanoparticle-enhanced Raman spectroscopy. By using 0. 1 mol/L MgSO4 as effective agglomeration reagent, more Raman “hot spots” were induced, and thus a limit of detection for SM at 10 μg/L was achieved with a linearity of 10-1000 μg/L and an analytical enhanced factor of 1. 1×106. This method can be directly applied in the measurement of SM in environmental water samples with good sensitivity and reproducibility, and the standard addition recovery was between 88%-114%. Good differentiation of four SM related compounds, 2-chloroethyl ethylsulfide, thiodiglycol, bis-β-chloroethyl sulphoxide and bis-β-chloroethyl sulphone, was also obtained.

In order to construct and express human cardiac troponin C-linker-troponin I(P) [ cTnC-linker-TnI(P)] fusion protein, detect its activity and prepare lyophilized protein, we searched the CDs of human cTnC and cTnI from GenBank, synthesized cTnC and cTnI(30-110aa) into cloning vector by a short DNA sequence coding for 15 neutral amino acid residues. pCold I-cTnC-linker-TnI(P) was constructed and transformed into E. coli BL21(DE3). Then, cTnC-linker-TnI(P) fusion protein was induced by isopropyl-β-D-thiogalactopyranoside (IPTG). Soluable expression of cTnC-linker-TnI(P) in prokaryotic system was successfully obtained. The fusion protein was purified by Ni²⁺ Sepharose 6 Fast Flow affinity chromatography with over 95% purity and prepared into lyophilized protein. The activity of purified cTnC-linker-TnI(P) and its lyophilized protein were detected by Wondfo Finecare™ cTnI Test. Lyophilized protein of cTnC-linker-TnI(P) was stable for 10 or more days at 37 °C and 4 or more months at 25 °C and 4 °C. The expression system established in this research is feasible and efficient. Lyophilized protein is stable enough to be provided as biological raw materials for further research.

Objective To find the efficient modification groups of anti-proteinase hydrolyzation in polypeptide by investigat-ing and comparing the relation between the functional groups and their ability to inhibit proteinase hydrolyzation. Methods Reverse phase-high performance liquid chromatography(RP-HPLC)method was developed to investigate in vitro metabolisms of new drug LXT101 and its structural modified analogs LZN series and LMP series in pancreatin system. All the separations of peptide drugs and their digested fragments were monitored at 225 nm. Results The good linear range was 4.0-400 μg/ml(r>0.9990)for new drug LXT101 and its structural modified analogs,i.e.,LZN series and LMP series. The recoveries of all peptide drugs ranged from 95.0%to 98.7%in pancreatin systems. The relative standard derivations(RSD)of intra-day and inter-day were less than 1.5%and 2.5%,re-spectively. The revealed order of digested half-life of the peptide drugs was LZN series>LMP series>LXT101. Conclusion The study of different sites and different functional groups on the lifetime indicates that the half-lives of peptides are prolonged by introducing the functional groups in the suitable sites of peptide, which feature as proteinase inhibitors, such as carbamoyl(Cbm),acetyl(Ac),para-amino-phenylalanine(Aph)or para-uramido-phenylalanine(Uph),which work as either proton donor or acceptor. Our results can pro-vide some useful and valuable information on structural design of peptide drug with long lifetime and high activity.
