OBJECTIVETo analyze the diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) in liver transplant recipients.
METHODSA retrospective analysis was conducted of 3 patients who developed AIHA following orthotopic liver transplantation. The results of hemolysis tests and examinations of hemoglobin, white blood cells, platelets, total bilirubin, and alanine aminotransferase before and after treatments were reviewed.
RESULTSThese 3 patients developed AIHA following the transplantation possibly in association with the use of immunosuppressive agents, and the condition was effectively controlled after corresponding treatments.
CONCLUSIONAIHA is a uncommon complication after liver transplantation and can be cured after a definitive diagnosis with corresponding treatments.

Objective To investigate the quality of life (QOL) of dysphagia patients and to analyze its influence factors. Methods One hundred cases of cerebrovascular accident complicating dysphagia in our hospital during 2014 were selected as the research subjects. The Swallowing Disorder Patients Quality of Life Scale (SWAL-QOL) was adopted to conduct the questionnaire investigation and scoring on the patients. Then its influence factors were performed the correlation analysis. Results The lowest individual total score of QOL evaluation was 18 points, the highest score was 49 points, the average total score was 35.33 points. The ten items of lowest score were mainly the food selection, psychological press and fear, while 10 items of highest score were distributed in psychological health, social function and appetite. The correlation analysis showed that swallowing function score and eating way had highest correlation with QOL.Conclusion The dysphagia degree and eating way are the main influencing factors affecting QOL in dysphagia patients.

Objective To investigate the effect of acupuncture combined with buccal electrical stimulation on dysphagia at oral phase after stroke. Methods 40 patients with oral-phase dysphasia after stroke were randomly divided into treatment group (n=20) and control group (n=20). The control group received routine therapy and swallowing training, and the treatment group received acupuncture and electrical stimulation on buccinator in addition. They were assessed with Oral Function Scale and Kubota's Drinking Test before and 20 d after treatment. Results There was no significant difference between both groups before treatment (P>0.05). Both groups improved after treatment (P<0.01), and improved more in the treatment group than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Acupuncture combined with buccal electrical stimulation is satisfactory for oral-phase dysphagia after stroke.
