Light environment is an important component of vision rehabilitation training room, and play a role for the people with visual disability. Based on the relationship between the low vision and light environment, the modification of vision rehabilitation training room were discussed in term of light environment, including light for different sorts and severities of visual disability, preventing glare, color rendering and stroboscopic effect and so on, and the objects to see. The possible schemes for modification were designed.

Objective To establish a method of GS-MS for determination of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in human cerumen. Methods The PCBs in cerumen samples was separated by n-hexane extraction, liquid-liquid extraction separation and column chromatography purification, then was analyzed quantitatively by gas chromatography and affirmed qualitatively by mass spectroscopy. Results The detection limit, average recovery rate and precision of this method were 0.15 ?g/g fat, 92.1% and 3.0%-4.6% (n=12) respectively. The contents of PCBs in 90 cerumen samples collected in polluted and control areas were detected. Objective To prepare a novel nano-suspension of niclosamide ethanolamine and evaluate its molluscicidal effect. Methods Niclosamide ethanolamine and stabilizing agent—polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) were dissolved in dimethyl sulfoxide. After the solution was added into water under fast stirring, niclosamide ethanolamine was quickly precipitated to form nanoparticles and nano-suspension was obtained. The weight ratio of PVP to niclosamide ethanolamine, concentration, temperature, stirring speed on the size and distribution of the nanoparticles were investigated. The molluscicidal effect of niclosamide ethanolamine nano-suspension was measured by immersion and spray methods in the laboratory and field. Results When the weight ratio of PVP to niclosamide ethanolamine was from 1∶2 to 1∶3, the nanoparticles of the niclosamide ethanolamine had diameters about 100 nm and the nano-suspension was stable without agglomerating for more than 1 month; as the speed of the stirring increased, the nanoparticles prepared became smaller and more stable. LC50 of the nano-suspension was 0.0544 mg/L but the LC50 of wettable powder of niclosamide ethanolamine salt (WPN) was 0.1250 mg/L. In the field immersion and spray tests, the concentration of nano-suspension as only 1/5 of active content of WPN achieved the same molluscicidal effect with WPN. Conclusions The nano-suspension has higher molluscicidal effect than WPN and the novel formulation of niclosamide has more advantages than WPN, it is useful for snail control in the field.

ObjectiveTo summarize the results of stereotactic radiation therapy (SRT) with or without whole-brain radiotherapy (WBRT) in the treatment of multiple brain metastasis.MethodsFrom May 1995 to April 2010,totally 98 newly diagnosed multiple (2 - 13 lesions) brain metastases patients were treated in our centre.Forty-four patients were treated with SRT alone and 54 with SRT + WBRT.Dose fractionation schemes were 15 -26 Gy in 1 fraction or 24.0 -52.5 Gy in 2 - 15 fractions with 3.5 - 12.0 Gy per fraction,depending on the tumor volume,location,and history of prior irradiation.Kaplan-Meier and Cox proportional hazards regression analyses were used for survival analysis.The median age of the whole group was 55 years.The survival time was calculated from the date of radiation treatment to the day of death by any cause.ResultsThe median follow-up time for the whole group was 12 months,and the follow-up rate was 100％.The median overall survival time was 13.5 months for the whole group,there was no difference between SRT alone group and SRT + WBRT group ( 13.0 months vs.13.5 months,χ2 =0.31,P =0.578 ).The Karnofsky Performance Score ( KPS) at the time of treatment ( χ2 =6.25,P =0.012 ),the interval between the diagnosis of the primary tumor and brain metastases ( χ2 =7.34,P =0.025 ) and the status of extracranial metastases ( χ2 =4.20,P =0.040) were independent prognosis factors for survival in multivariate analyses.ConclusionsStereotactic radiation therapy is an effective and alternative treatment choice for multiple brain metastases.

Objective To investigate the change and effect of SSeCKS(src suppressed c kinase substrates)in the activation of hepatic stellate cells(HSCs).Methods HSCs were isolated from normal rats,the change of SSeCKS mRNA expression on HSCs culture in vitro was determined using real.time PCR.protein level was determined by Western blot and immunofluorescence methods.A rat model of liver fibrosis was established.The expression and location of SSeCKS and α-SMA(α-smooth muscle actin)in liver tissues were detected by immunofluorescence methods.Results SSeCKS mRNA expression WaS loW in freshly isolated HSCs cell and the expression increased in activated HSCs in vitro.In liver fibrosis tissue,the number of SSeCKS-positive cells was increased and these cells were distributed along the sinusoids which also contained α-SMA positive cells.Conclusion The expression of SSeCKS was increased in activated HSCs in vitro.Therefore.SSeCKS may be involved in the liver inflammation and fibrosis.

Objective To explore the Schistosoma japonicum cercariae collected method and the quantity of cercariae obtained from a great quantity artificial infected snails. Methods In laboratory condition, Oncomelania snails were infected with schistosome miracidia. Sixty days post-infection all snails were divided into 7 shares. Cercariae shed from 1 share snails every day and the number of all shedding days were 40. Cercariae shed from snails were collected with low-velocity centrifuge and the cercariae sediment were weighted. Results One thousand and nine hundred g snails bred for 120 days post-infection, the infection and survival rates were 36. 00% and 51. 58%. Cercariae col-lected were 10. 5 g from 40 days collection. Cercariae quantity of shedding from 1 000 positive snails per day was 0. 257 4 g.

Objective: To retrospectively analyze the ascending aortic diameter (AAD) changes in patients after mechanical aortic valve replacement (AVR).
Methods: The medical records and echocardiography reports in patients who received AVR or bivalve valve replacement (BVR) in our hospital from 2000-01 to 2001-12 were retrieved, the retrieval conditions were as aortic valve structure must be mechanical and the follow-up echocardiography examination should be more than 9 years. The clinical information, pre- and post-operative 2-dimentional transthoracic echocardiography reports were collected, the follow-up echocardiography periods were ≤3-year, 3-year<-≤6-year, 6-year<-≤9-year and >9-year. AAD changes at different periods were compared. According to baseline AAD, the patients were divided into AAD<35 mm group and AAD≥35 mm group in order to observe the ascending aortic events.
Results: A total of 141 patients were enrolled form 595 echocardiography reports which included 75 male, the patients were at the mean age of (45.5 ± 11.2) years with mean follow-up time of (7.59 ± 3.38) years. Compared with baseline level, the follow-up AAD was similar between ≤3-year and 3-year<-≤6-year patients,P>0.05; while the follow-up AAD was different between 6-year<-≤9-year and >9-year patients,P<0.05. The patients with second operation in AAD≥35 mm group were much higher than those in AAD<35 mm group (24.0% vs 12.9%). There were 5 (20%) patients suffered from ascending aortic events in AAD≥35 mm group.
Conclusion: AAD dilatation were gradually occurring after mechanical AVR, the patients with AAD≥35 mm had the higher risk for ascending aortic events, therefore special attention should be taken in patients with aortic valve disease combining AAD dilatation during surgical treatment.

Objective To investigate the feasibility and clinical application of real-time threedimensional transesophageal echocardiography(RT3D-TEE). Methods Fifty-nine patients with various heart diseases were examined or monitored by RT3D-TEE.Among them,20 patients with different kinds of arrhythmias,24 patients with valvular heart diseases, 12 patients with congenital heart diseases,2 patients with aortic dissection, 1 with unexplained pulmonary hypertension. Results RT3D-TEE was performed successfully in all the patients with good image quality and the normal tissues as well as diseased cardiac structures were distinctly displayed.Conclusions RT3D-TEE is a safe and reliable new technique which can be applied in the patients with poor acoustic window and may be a powerful tool in the intraoperative monitoring.RT3D-TEE is also an important supplement to real time three dimensional transthoracic echocardiography and makes it possible for the first time to monitor the cardiac operation with RT3D-TEE without interrupting the operation procedure.

Objective To understand the variation in response of Oncomelania hupensis to niclosamide. Methods Snails were collected from 37 sampling areas distributed in 10 provinces (municipalities) using random environmental sampling methods in accordance with the different types and categories of snail habitats. In laboratory the snails were immersed in solutions of niclosamide for 24 and 48 hours at 25℃. Results 1.0 mg/L niclosamide showed 100% killing effect on snails in 24 hours. The LC 50 concentrations for snails immersed for 24 hours ranged from 0.0320 to 0.1689 mg/L with a mean value of 0.0920 mg/L. 0.5 mg/L niclosamide showed 100% killing effect on snails in 48 hours. The LC 50 values for snails immersed for 48 hours ranged between 0.0299 and 0.1114 mg/L with a mean of 0.0627 mg/L. There is a significant difference in snail sensitivity to niclosamide between sampling areas. Conclusion The sensitivity to niclosamide varied in snails from different sampling fields, but the chemical in a concentration of 1.0 mg/L showed 100% effect of killing snails, which is consistent to the manual of schistosomiasis control.

Objective To investigate the present situation of institutes of rehabilitation medicine in Guangxi. Methods From March to July, 2015, all 287 hospitals in Guangxi were investigated with the Human Resource Statistics of Guangxi Rehabilitation Medicine Depart-ment and the Specialist Questionnaire of Guangxi Rehabilitation Medicine Department by E-mail through the local Health and Family Plan-ning Commissions. Results There were 125 rehabilitation medicine departments with 2146 personnels in Guangxi, 0.2 therapists per bed in average. The proportion was 1∶0.725 for rehabilitative physicians to therapists;1∶1.92∶3.14 for senior, intermediate and primary title for physicians;1∶8∶63 for therapists and 1∶5.6∶18.9 for nurses. About 91.3%of the department of rehabilitation medicine was in the tertia-ry hospitals and was able to provide the services of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, swallowing rehabilitation, cogni-tive rehabilitation, psychological therapy and rehabilitation engineering, and so on. Conclusion Rehabilitation has made a big progress com-pared with that in 2009 in Guangxi, in term of institutes, human resources and the service ability. However, the distribution of institutions and human resources remains unbalanced.
