Objective To investigate the relationship between cytoreduction outcome and staging of ovarian cancer with preoperative blood cell count.Methods The data of 148 ovarian cancer patients from January 2007 to June 2012 were analyzed retrospectively.Clinicopathological and blood cell count data were collected,and benign ovarian tumor group (n =96) as controls.Results Compared to the control group,there were significant differences in the number of white blood cells,neutrophils,lymphocytes,monocytes,platelets,neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio,and platelets to lymphocyte ratio in patients with ovarian cancer (P ＜ 0.05).The same results were also observed in advanced groups and early groups.While between optimal cytoreduction and suboptimal cytoreduction,there were significant differences in platelets,monocytes,neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio,and platelets to lymphocyte ratio (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions The cytoreduction outcome and pathological staging of ovarian cancer are closely related to the preoperative blood cell count.Blood cell count is important for the identification of benign and malignant ovarian tumors,cytoreduction outcome and the prediction of pathological staging,and may be of significance to the monitoring and prognosis of the disease.

An integrated retrieval platform for online biomedical literature citations with the functions of one-stop retrieval, automatic removal of duplications, automatic grouping, and rapid output of standard citation report, was constructed on the basis of CMCI, with the C/S structure as its model and the NET framework as its development platform, in order to solve the problems of different citation databases in our library, such as inconsistent retrieval methods, inconsistent displaying methods of retrieval outcomes, and non-standard citation description, which can thus improve the efficiency of searching and citing biomedical literature.

AIM: To investigate the effect of l menthol on the absorption of ciprofloxacin (Cip) via the mucosa. METHODS: Mucosa absorption experiment and deposit effect were made on a two cells diffusion apparatus in vitro to calculate permeation coefficients. RESULTS: With increasing of the concentration of Cip, the permeation coefficient of mucosa absorption showed a increasing tendency, but deposit effect declined significantly. Objective To explore the influence of percutaneous gastrostomy-jejunostomy ( PEG-J) on the nutritional status and prognosis of critically ill patients in ICU .Methods Totally 58 patients who received me-chanical ventilation in the ICU of Changshu No .1 People's Hospital from January 2013 to December 2015 were di-vided into two groups according to random number table:treatment group ( n=28, enteral nutrition by establis-hing PEG-J tube in 120 hours after excluding contraindications );and control group ( n=30, nasogastric tube as the way of giving enteral nutrition and if delayed gastric emptying happened , nasogastric tube would be replaced by nasointestinal tube).The incidence of ventilation-associated pneumonia (VAP) within 28 days, duration of ICU stay, and duration of mechanical ventilation were compared between these two groups .Results The inci-dence of 28-day VAP (7.14%vs.26.67%, P=0.049), duration of ICU stay [ (13.6 ±5.9) d vs.(16.8 ± 4.4) d, P=0.024], duration of mechanical ventilation [ (8.1 ±5.0) d vs.(10.7 ±4.5) d, P=0.041] were significantly lower or shorter in treatment group than in control group .Conclusions The use of PEG-J tube for enteral nutrition in critically ill patients is reliable and safe .It also helps to reduce VAP .

After a description of the performance assessment systems in domestic and foreign libraries, the personal performance assessment system was designed according to the annual target and key performance indicators worked out for the Database R&D Section in Medical Library of Chinese PLA and its problems existed at present.Imple-mentation of the system showed that it could arouse the enthusiasm of staff, increase the number of products, im-prove the quality of products , and guarantee the realization of annual target in our section .

ObjectiveTo observethe clinical efficacy of surround needling plus high-energy red light in treating herpes zoster. MethodSixty patients with herpes zoster were randomized into a medication group, a control group and a united group. The medication group was intervened by oral administration of medication, the control group was by surround needling plus electroacupuncture in addition to the medication, and the united group was by the medication, surround needling plus electroacupuncture, and the high-energy red light radiation. The effect on pain and the comprehensive therapeutic efficacy were evaluated on treatment day 5 and day 10.ResultThe efficacies in releasing pain in the control group and united group were significantly superior to that in the medication group on treatment day 5 (P<0.05), while the difference between the control group and united group was statistically insignificant (P>0.05); on treatment day 10, the effects on releasing pain in the control group and united group were more significant than that in the medication group (P<0.01), and the effect in the united group was more significant than that in the control group (P<0.05). The comprehensive therapeutic efficacy in the united group was superior to that in the medication group on treatment day 5 (P<0.01); the difference between the control group and medication group was statistically insignificant (P>0.05); on treatment day 10, the efficacies in the control group and united group were significantly better than that in the medication group (P<0.01), and the efficacy in the united group was superior to that in the control group (P<0.05). ConclusionSurround needling plus high-energy red light can effectively reduce the neuralgia caused by herpes zoster, shorten the pain duration, improve the symptoms, andthus this combination is an effective and safe method.

Objective: To study the correlation of occupation musculoskeletal disease (OMD) and safety behavior in assembly line workers. Methods: Selected assembly line workers of 3 manufacturing factory in Pacity as the objects of this study by judgement sampling. Questionnaires were used for messages collection including the general sociodemographic characteristic, OMD condition, occupational safety behaviors. Results: This study shows that, 826 OMD workers were found that the annual prevalence was 38.03%. The scores of work posture, handling habits, health habit in OMD group was lower than non-OMD group (P<0.01) but personal protection behavior was higher than non-OMD group (P<0.01) . Test of binary logistic regression revealed that age, workage, work posture, handling habits were the factors of OMD (P<0.01) . Conclusion Safety behaviors were the potent factors of OMD that work posture and handling habits should be broadcast.
