In this paper,the authors reviewed 141 cases of senile gastric carcinoma,with 23 cases followed up.The clinical features,and the relationship between the longth of the course and the resection rate of the tumor have been analysed retrospectively.The results show that gas- tric carcinoma in the aged pepole has a characteristic of a longer history and higher resectable possibility,it is mainly from the canceration of gastric ulcer,well differentiated and low metastatic,and has a favourable prognosis and longer survival.Important suggestions to im- prove its resection rate and survival rate include making a follow-up gastroscopy for the aged pepole with a longer history of gastric diseases or peptic ulcers.For the aged patients who are over 50 with a long history of gastric ulcer or chronic intractable atrophic gastritis,it is rec- ommended to employ the surgery of gastrectomy and the R_Ⅱ mode of operation is of choice, and chemotherapy should be followed.

ObjectiveTo explore the effects of personality characteristics and mental health of students on the career orientation.MethodsThe method of stratified random sampling was used in three universities of Jiangxi province.501 subjects of Arts,Science and Medical Science were tested with Holland career orientation test,symptom check list(SCL-90) and 16 personality factors(16PF).Structure validity analysis,analysis of variance and t -value test were employed with LISREL8.70 and SPSS13.0.Results ( 1 ) The proportion of students choosed the type of occupation were:social type 36％,management type 18％,conventional type 17％,reality type 14％,investigation type 9％,artistic type 6％ ; (2) Career orientation,personality characteristics and mental health had moderate effect on the career orientation.The correlation coefficients of personality characteristics and mental health to the vocational orientation were 0.63 and 0.44.The interaction correlation coefficient was 0.56.ConclusionPersonality characteristics and mental health of college students are important factors to the career orientation and decision-making of job seeking.The personality has stronger explanatory power than mental health.Great emphasis should be paid on both short-term psychological health of college students and long-term cultivation of healthy personality in the employment psychological guidance.

To explore and identify the therapeutic components of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) as a complex intervention through grounded theory, and the correlation and interaction within this model and the possible effects that they may have on the therapeutic effects of TCM.

Clinical trials play a critical role in medical research. However, only a few clinical trials conducted at present have been registered at various clinical trial registries. Clinical trial registration can prevent bias in these registered trials effectively and avoid unnecessary waste of resources due to meaningless repeats. Moreover, it will benefit the development of evidence-based medicine, and promote human welfare. Great attention has been paid to the importance and necessity of clinical trial registration. This review briefly introduced the definition, justification, contents, history, current status of clinical trial registration, and introduced the information regarding important international clinical trial registries in detail. Clinical trial registration should be developed toward a transparent, compulsory and comprehensive stage.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of mixing herbal injections with transfusion fluid on production of insoluble particles.METHODS:To detect the amount of insoluble particles before and after mixing herbal injections with transfusion fluid with ZWF-4 particule counter.RESULTS:The insoluble particles increased obviously.CONCLUSION:It should be paid great attention to the increase of insoluble particles after mixing,as well as the relationship between the insoluble particles and adverse reactions.

Linearization measurements of the temperature and pressure and fuzzy control technology are all involved in. The experiment result shows that the controlling system makes the sterilizer free from overshoot, steady-state error and non-robustness.

ObjectiveTo study the relationship between the plasma level of asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA) and the damage degree of white matter and the changes of cognitive function in patients with cerebral small vessel disease.Methods120 patients with white matter lesions,induced by cerebral small vessel disease,were randomly selected.All patients were divided into group with or without cognitive dysfunction according to the results of MoCA scale.The plasma level of ADMA was detected with high-perfomance liquid chromatography method.Scheltens semi-quantitative evaluation was used to detect the damage degree of white matter.Correlation analysis was used to evaluate the relationship between the plasma level of ADMA and white matter lesions and cognitive dysfunction.ResultsThere were 42 patients with cognitive dysfunction and 78 patients without cognitive dysfunction.The plasma level of ADMA in patients with cognitive dysfunction ( ( 1.57 ±0.56) μg/ml) was significantly higher than patients without cognitive dysfunction ( (0.89 ±0.23 ) μg/ml) (P ＜ 0.01 ).Scheltens semi-quantitative evaluationfor patients with cognitive dysfunction and patients without cognitive dysfunction was 8.01 ± 2.50and 2.49 ± 0.59,respectively.There was significant difference between this two groups (P ＜ 0.01 ).The plasma level of ADMA positively correlated with the damage degree of white matter lesions and the changes of cognitive function.The correlation coefficients were 0.913 and 0.837,respectively ( All P ＜ 0.01 ).ConclusionADMA may be involved in the process of white matter damage caused by cerebral small vessel disease.The detection for plasma levels of ADMA may contribute to the prevention and early diagnosis of patients with cognitive dysfunction caused by cerebral small vessel disease.

Objective To study the influence of progesterone (PROG) on infarct volume and functional outcome and to evaluate the therapeutic value of PROG on cerebral infarction in rats.Methods Health adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into sham-operated (control) group,ischemic group,vehicle-treated group and PROG-treated group.Permanent cerebral ischemia was induced by occlusion of the left middle cerebral artery (MCA) using an intraluminal filament technique.Sham-operated rats were subjected to the same surgical procedure,except that the filament was not advanced to occlude the MCA.Progesterone or 2-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin was injected intraperitoneally following permanent middle cerebral artery occlusion (PMCAO) of rats.Zea Longa test was used to evaluate their functional outcome at 1d,2d,3d after stroke.TTC staining was used to detect the infarct volume at 3d after stroke.Results The results of Zea Longa test showed that there were no functional deficits in all animals prior to ischemia.There were no significant changes in motor function in sham-operated animals across the 3 days assessment period.Both PROG and vehicle-treated rats experienced significant decline in scores following occlusion.However,PROG-treated rats (3.00 ± 0.63,2.83 ± 0.75,2.00 ± 0.89 )demonstrated a gradual improvement in scores compared with ischemic (4.00 ± 0.89,3.83 ± 0.75,3.16 ± 0.75 )and vehicle-treated rats ( 3.67 ± 1.21,3.50 ± 1.05,2.83 ± 0.76) at different times (P ＜ 0.05 ).TTC staining revealed that PROG administration significantly reduced the total infarct volume in the PROG-treated rats ( ( 15.03± 3.75) ％ ) compared with ischemic ( (23.74 ± 4.48 ) ％ ) and vehicle-treated rats ( ( 24.42 ± 7.07 ) ％,P ＜0.05).Conclusions PROG significantly reduces infarct volume and promotes the recovery of neurological functions after pMCAO,which has good therapeutic value for the rat model of cerebral infarction.

Objective To analyze the related factors,and discuss the causes and prevention measures of pharyngocutaneous fistula caused by total laryngectomy.Methods The complete chnical data of 118 patients underwent laryngeal ancer surgery were analyzed retrospectively.Analyzed the relationship between pharyngocutaneous fistula and the factors of sex,age,pre-operative nutrition states,preoperative radiotherapy,prior tracheotomy,neck dissection,tumor position,clinical stage of tumor,patho-staging,post-operative infection comobidity with analysis of single factor.Results Among the 118 cases of laryngeal carcinoma,17 cases were pharyngocutaneous fistula after operation,the incidence was 14.4％ (17/118).According to the statistical analysis results,the predominant influencing factors in the causation of pharyngocutaneous fistula were:pre-operative nutrition states,pre-operative radiotherapy,clinical stage of tumor and post-operative infection.Concusion Pharyngocutaneous fistula after total laryngectomy is related to many factors,avoiding the above mentioned factors can reduce the rate of fistula and improve the life quality.

Objective To compare the efficacies between nasal packing and no nasal packing after endoscopic sinus surgery for chronic sinusitis,and explore the feasibility of no nasal packing after endoscopic sinus surgery.Methods Eighty-two type 1 or type 2 chronic sinusitis patients who received endoscopic sinus surgery under general anesthesia were divided into no nasal packing group (44 cases,75 sides) and nasal packing group (38 cases,65 sides) by random digits table method.The patients in 2 groups were taken preoperative anti-inflammatory and regulation blood pressure treatment.The volume of bleeding,postoperative pain (visual analogue score,VAS),degree of mucosal edema,efficacy and postoperative complications between 2 groups were compared.Results There were no statistical difference in volume of bleeding and efficacy between 2 groups (P ＞ 0.05).The postoperative VAS in no nasal packing group was significantly lower than that in nasal packing group [(2.46 ± 0.54) scores vs.(5.49 ± 1.26) scores],there was statistical difference (P＜ 0.01).There was no statistical difference in mucosal edema score postoperative 1 week and 6 months between 2 groups (P ＞ 0.05),but the mucosal edema score postoperative 1 month in no nasal packing group was significantly lower than that in nasal packing group [(1.32 ±0.63) scores vs.(3.52 ±0.72) scores],there was statistical difference (P ＜ 0.01).Postoperative comphcations in nasal packing group were significantly more than those in no packing group.Conclusion No nasal packing can be performed for type 1 or type 2 chronic sinusitis patients who has no significant bleeding after endoscopic sinus surgery under general anesthesia,it is actually beneficial of relieving distress of the patient and reducing postoperative complications.
