Objective To evaluate the application of three-dimensional (3D) scanning in the measurements and analyses of breast morphology changes that occur after breast augmentation. Methods Pre- and postoperative breast 3D images were obtained in 18 patients (36 breasts) undergoing augmentation mammaplasty by 3D scanning. All implants were round sillicone and planted under pectoral muscle. Average implant volume was 232.2 mL, and average projection was 3.46 cm. The number of implants in low profile implant group was 12( h < 3.0 cm), and 16 in moderate group ( 3.0 ≤ h < 4.0 cm), 8 in high group ( h ≥ 4.0 cm). The following parameters were measured by Geomagic 10.0: volume, projection, angle and distance of key landmarks, and symmetry degree. Results The increased volume of breast was corresponding with the implant volume (P >0.05). Postoperative breast projection was 12.9 %, less than expected projection (preoperative + implant projection). The values in low, moderate, and high profile group were 5.2 %, 15.1%, and 20.2 %,respectively. Conclusion 3D scanning is a quick, convenient, accurate and non-contact method for measurement of breast morphology, and it is promising in breast plastic surgery in the future.

This study is to investigate the effects of sophoridine on NF-kappaB signaling pathway in kidney tissue of endotoxemia mice and the mechanism involved. BALB/c mice were challenged with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) caudal vein injection, then sophoridine was administered by intraperitoneal injection. Totally 50 mice were divided into 5 groups: control group, LPS model group, sophoridine treatment 12 mg x kg(-1) group, 6 mg x kg(-1) group and 3 mg x kg(-1) group. All animals were sacrificed at 6 hours after treatment. Kidney and blood samples were harvested. IKKbeta mRNA and TNF-alpha mRNA expression of renal tissue was measured by the reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), and phosphorylation IKKbeta protein (pIKKbeta) was detected by immunohistochemistry. NF-kappaB P65 protein expression and distribution of renal tissue were observed by Western blotting and immunofluorescence laser confocal microscopy. Serum TNF-alpha level was detected by radioimmunoassay. The results showed that the sophoridine significantly reduced the expression of IKKbeta mRNA and pIKKbeta protein, and inhibited the expression of NF-kappaB P65 protein and decreased the entry nuclear rate of NF-kappaB P65 in the renal tissue of endotoxemia mice. Thereby the renal TNF-alpha mRNA expression and serum TNF-alpha level were significantly reduced. These results suggest that sophoridine could inhibit inflammatory reaction induced by LPS through inhibiting activation of NF-kappaB signaling pathway.

Aim To establish phlegm and blood stasis, qi-stag-nation and blood stasis, phlegm turbid+qi-stagnation and blood stasis model in rats and to study the characteristics of animal models with different blood stasis. Methods SD rats were ran-domly divided into normal group, high fat diet group, chronic unpredictable mild stress group ( CUMS ) and high fat diet +chronic unpredictable mild stress group. Different states of blood stasis rat models were established by corresponding factors for 6 weeks. Indexes of weight, open field behavior, serum lipids and corticosterone were monitored dynamically at the 2 nd, 4 th, 6 th weeks. At the end of the experiment(6th week), the heart func-tion was detected by small animal ultrasound and the left ventric-ular intubation. The blood rheology indexes were detected by the viscosity tester and red blood cell deformation/aggregation test instrument. Results Compared with the normal group, blood stasis could be induced by high fat diet and chronic unpredicta-ble mild stress, introducing the influence of different degree on animal behavior, blood lipids, heart function and blood viscosi-ty. When the two factors were superimposed, the changes of the indexes about blood stasis were the most significant. Perform-ance as: compared with normal control group, a significant re-duction was observed in body weight ( P < 0. 01 ); horizontal movement, vertical movement and movement time were reduced (P<0. 01 or P<0. 05) at the 2 nd week;at the 2 nd and 4 th week, serum corticosterone was increased ( P <0. 01 or P <0. 05) as well as TG at the 4 th and 6 th week (P<0. 01); at the 6 th week, velocity of blood was slowed down ( P<0. 01 );left ventricular anterior wall and posterior wall thickness at end-systolic was increased ( P<0. 01 or P<0. 05 ); left ventricular diastolic index was increased ( P<0. 01 ); the maximum rate of myocardial contraction was decreased ( P < 0. 05 ); the whole blood viscosity was increased ( P<0. 01 ) . Conclusions Blood stasis could be formed by high fat diet and chronic unpredictable mild stress, which has different characteristics. When the two factors are superimposed, the abnormal behavior, blood viscosi-ty, heart function, blood lipid and other indexes of the animal could obviously appear, which can provide the basis for the stud-y of blood stasis syndrome and related drugs.

Objective To evaluate the correlations between the cerebral hemodynamic changes of severe acute encephalopathy with the clinical features from emergency periods to stable periods and the value of transcranial Doppler ultrasonography( TCD)in cerebral function assess. Methods Thirty patients with acute brain diseases by assisted mechanical ventilator from Jun 2014 to May 2015 in PICU were included and followed up to Nov 2015,then grouped by Glasgow Coma Scale( GCS),MRI,prognosis( mental sequelae after half a year). Each subject was examined through the temporal bone window by TCD at emergency peri-ods and stable periods. The systolic cerebral blood flow velocity( sCBFV),and pulsatility index( PI)of bilat-eral middle cerebral artery( MCA),anterior cerebral artery, posterior cerebral artery were analyzed. Multivari-ant analysis of variance, repeated measures analysis of variance was conducted to compare sCBFV and PI of MCA among groups in different clinical periods. The variants included sex, disease diagnosis, prognosis, MRI,GCS,and the first abnormal TCD. The variation within groups was tested via a Hotelling T2 test. All sCBFV and PI of each artery and the D-value of sCBFV between the different periods were compared accord-ing to the prognosis groups. Results (1)Five patients could be lateralized, and their lateralization of MRI focus was consistent with the abnormal sides of sCBFV in the stable periods.(2)The D-value of sCBFV in left MCA between the different periods in the poor prognosis group was significantly higher than that in the good prognosis group[(71. 93 ± 58. 21)cm/s vs.(33. 20 ± 30. 23)cm/s,t = -2. 287,P =0. 033].(3) Multivariant analysis of variance showed that GCS classification and disease diagnosis were significantly cor-related with the cerebral hemodynamic changes respectively(P =0. 042,0. 005,respectively).(4)sCBFV and PI of left MCA reduced significantly in the stable periods than those in the emergency periods( P =0. 002,0. 003,respectivly). Conclusion The cerebral hemodynamic changes by TCD from emergency peri-ods to stable periods are consistent with the clinical status, dynamic evaluation by TCD may facilitate the evaluation of brain dysfunction in the severe acute encephalopathy.

The patients were divided into HIV-positive group and HIV-negative group according to the results of HIV confirmation test. The clinical manifestations, laboratory examination indicators (white blood cell count, hemoglobin, albumin, CD4 + T lymphocyte count and C-reactive protein (CRP)) between the two groups were compared. Mann-Whitney U test and chi-square test were used for statistical analysis. Results:Among 175 TSM patients, 85 were HIV-positive and 90 were HIV-negative patients. The main clinical manifestations of fever and lymphadenopathy in the HIV-positive group and HIV-negative group were 71 (83.53%) cases and 73 (81.11%) cases, 50 (58.82%) cases and 47 (52.22%) cases, respectively, and there were both no statistical differences ( χ2=0.175 and 0.771, respectively, both P>0.05), while respiratory symptoms, weight loss and subcutaneous masses were 62 (72.94%) cases and 81 (90.00%) cases, 73 (85.88%) cases and 56 (62.22%) cases, one (1.18%) case and 16 (17.78%) cases, respectively, the differences were all statistically significant ( χ2=8.514, 12.630 and 13.737, respectively, all P<0.01). Hemoglobin in HIV-positive group and HIV-negative group were 90.50 (77.00, 113.95) g/L and 88.65 (72.85, 99.93) g/L, respectively. The difference was statistically significant ( Z=2.023, P=0.043). The ratios of albumin<30 g/L, CRP>10 mg/L in the two groups were 69.41%(59/85) and 60.00%(54/90), 94.37%(67/71) and 94.19%(81/86), respectively, and the differences were both not statistically significant ( χ2=1.693 and 0, respectively, both P>0.05). The ratios of cases with white blood cell counts >10×10 9/L and CD4 + T lymphocyte count<50/μL in the positive and negative groups were 3.53%(3/85) and 81.11%(73/90), 80.77%(63/78) and 1.75%(1/57), respectively, the differences were both statistically significant ( χ2=107.095 and 82.467, respectively, both P<0.01). Conclusions:In TSM patients, HIV-negative with subcutaneous masses, and increased white blood cell counts are common. Decreased body weight and CD4 + T lymphocyte count<50/μL in HIV-positive patients are more common than HIV-negative patients.
