Diabetes incidence rate is increasing in recent years, along with below knee artery disease, which develops into severe ischemia in many patients.This paper introduced the horizon about endovascular techniques in this field.

OBJECTIVE:To establish a method to determinate the content of paeoniflorin in Bailing tablet,and to evaluate the uncertainty of results. METHODS:HPLC was performed on the column of Platisil C18 with mobile phase of water- acetonitrile(87:13,V/V) at a flow rate of 1 ml/min,the detection wavelength was 230 nm,the column temperature was 25 ℃ and the injection volume was 10 μl. Quantitative analysis was conducted for the processes and procedures and the uncertainty was evaluated. RESULTS:The linear range of paeoniflorin was 0.100 1-2.502 8 μg;RSDs of precision,stability and reproducibility tests were lower than 2.0%,recovery rate was 98.7%-100.9%(RSD=0.86%,n=6). Reference substance amount,elution produce and the accuracy of method had great effect on the uncertainty. CONCLUSIONS:The established method can be used for the content determination of paeoniflorin in Bailing tablet,and the uncertainty evaluation provides reliability for the method.

Objective: To observe the effect of ginkgo biloba extract (GBE) (total ginkgo flavone 50% and qinkgolide 25%) on experimental hyperlipidemic quail.Methods: 60 quail were randomly grouped six:normal group, hyperlipidemic model group and low, middle and high dose GBE groups, as well as lipanthyl group. Except for the normal group, the other five groups were firstly given high fat food for two weeks. Then among them, three groups were treated with GBE(20mg/kg?d, 40mg/kg?d, 80mg/kg?d, respectively) by ig administration, and one group was given lipanthyl(25mg/kg?d)by ig administration as the positve drug, another group was received aqua destillata by ig administration as the hyperlipidemic model. The treatments were consecutively carried out for four weeks. Objective To evaluate intra-and interobserver reliability of analysis of lower limb alignment on DR digital images using AutoCAD.Methods Angles on AP view and long leg view were measured three times by two trained observers separately using these two methods in 140 knees.The intra-and interobserver intraclass correlation coefficients with 95% CIs of two methods were calculated and compared with Fisher z transformation and Z test.Paired t test was used in comparing time consumption.Results For AutoCAD method,inter ICCs were 0.942? 0.993 ,intra ICCs were 0.937～0.999.For X-ray films method,inter ICCs were 0.736～0.981,intra ICCs were 0.759～0.951.Corresponding ICCs of AutoCAD method were higher than those of X-ray films method,most of which had significant differences(P<0.01).The consuming time of two observers in measuring one knee using AutoCAD method was 89.6 seconds and 94.3 seconds shorter than those using X-ray films method respectively.Both had significant differences(P<0.01).Conclusion It was a fast reliable method to assess lower limb alignment on DR digital images using AutoCAD.

Objective To observe the effect of electromyographic biofeedback combined with swallowing training on dysphagia after stroke.Methods Ninety-five patients with difficulty in swallowing after stroke were randomly divided into a treatment group (48 eases) and a control group (47 cases).The patients in the treatment group were provided electromyographic biofeedback and swallowing training; the patients in the control group received swallowing training only.The therapeutic effect was assessed with Kubota's drinking water test before treatment and 30d after treatment.Results Swallowing in both groups improved after treatment.The total recovery rate in the treatment group was 87.5％,and in the control group it was 68.0％,a significant difference.Conclusion Electromyographic biofeedback can improve the effectiveness of swallowing training after stroke.

Objective To observe the effect of electromyographic biofeedback therapy(EMGBFT)on dysphagia in stroke patients.Methods Fifty-three stroke patients with dysphagia were divided randomly into an EMGBFT group and a control group.The patients of EMGBFT group were given EMGBFT,electrical stimulation therapy (EST)and dysphagia training,while those in the control group were given EST and dysphagia training.All the patients were assessed with Kubota drinking test before treatment and 30 days after treatment.Results After treatment swallowing function of patients in both groups improved(P ＜0.05).The effective rate was 76.92％ in EMGBFT group and 55.56％ in control group,with statistically significant difference between the two groups(P ＜ 0.05).It showed that the EMGBFT group has significantly better outcome than the control group after treatment(P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions EMGBFT combined with regular rehabilitation therapy can improve patient's motor and swallowing function.

BACKGROUND:Crowe IV developmental dysplasia of the hip is rarely seen clinical y. However, when treated with routine total hip arthroplasty, severe deformities in the bone and soft tissue can lead to high rate of operation failure and increased occurrence of complications. Total hip arthroplasty in combination with subtrochanteric osteotomy may be an option to resolve this problem.
OBJECTIVE:To retrospectively analyze the clinical outcome and safety of Crowe IV developmental dysplasia of the hip treated by the combination of total hip arthroplasty and subtrochanteric osteotomy in 17 cases.
METHODS:Twenty-one hips (17 cases) of Crowe IV developmental dysplasia of the hip treated by the combination of total hip arthroplasty and subtrochanteric osteotomy were retrospectively analyzed and fol owed for at least 2 years from January 2006 to June 2011. Complications, hip function, and radiological changes were evaluated.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The mean fol ow-up period was (48.0±20.5) months. Harris’s score was increased postoperatively (P<0.05). The main complains were lower limb length discrepancy, difficulty in standing up from squatting, muscle weakness, and soft tissue tightness. One greater trochanter fracture occurred and was fixed by hook plate fixation. There were four femoral shaft splits treated by cerclage. One patient represented with femoral nerve palsy and got partial recovery until the latest fol ow-up. There was no deep infection, dislocation or prosthesis loosening. Crowe IV developmental dysplasia of the hip could be effectively treated by total hip arthroplasty in combination with subtrochanteric osteotomy, which requires high surgical techniques to control the complications. Further fol ow-up is required for long-term results.

Objective To observe the effects of psychological supportive therapy on the activities of daily living (ADL) and depression after cerebral hemorrhage. Methods 60 cases with mild or medium depression according to 17 items Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (HAMD-17) after cerebral hemorrhage were divided into treatment group (n=30) and control group (n=30). All of them accepted physical exercise, and those in the treatment group accepted psychological supportive therapy in addition. They were assessed with Functional Independence Measure (FIM) and HAMD-17 before and after the treatment. Results After 2 months of treatment, the score of FIM increased more in the treatment group than in the control group (P<0.001), and the score of HAMD-17 decreased (P<0.001). Conclusion Psychological supportive therapy may promote the recovery of ADL and depression for patients post cerebral hemorrhage.
