Chinese Journal of Digestion 2001;0(11):-
Objective To determine whether trefoil factor 1(TFF1) could be associated with healing of gastric mucosa and differentiation of gastric carcinoma. Methods TFF1 in normal and various pathologic gastric mucosa was assessed by immunohistochemical method and analyzed with Motic Images Advanced 3.0 software. Results Compared with normal mucosa, increased TFF1 was detected in gastritis, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer. TFF1 was in increased expression in multiple and compound ulcer than simple ulcer. There was no significant difference among gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, gastritis and simple ulcer. Increased TFF1 was detected in peripheral mucosa of the gastric adenocarcinoma as compared with normal mucosa. The expression of TFF1 in gastric adenocarcinoma was related to the differentiation of adenocarcinoma, that is, the more poorly differentiated, the lower expression of TFF1. Conclusion TFF1 may play a significant role in gastric mucosa protection and epithelial restitution. TFF1 may also contribute to the differentiation of gastric adenocarcinoma.

Journal of Interventional Radiology 2006;0(07):-
Argon-helium cryosurgical system has been widely used in the treatment of solid tumors. The basic mechanism of this technique is that the ultra low temperature(below 140℃ ) can act on the diseased tissues, resulting in the formation of ice crystals both inside and outside of the cells and causing the rupture of the cells, which will further produce a series of physical and chemical changes and finally bring about the necrosis of tumor cells. This paper aims to introduce the argon-helium cryosurgical system, focusing on its guiding mode, freezing extent and time, freezing immunity, curative effect and combination of treatments.

Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases 2017;33(4):427-431
Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF),platelet derived growth factor (PDGF) and complements play key roles in the pathogenesis of age-related macular degeneration (AMD).Pegaptanib, the first therapeutic aptamer against VEGF165,has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of US for the treatment of exudative AMD.Another two aptamers El0030 and ARC1905,each target PDGF-B and complement C5 respectively, are undergoing clinical trials.Recent trends to treat AMD are combined therapies targeting multiple key molecules in the pathogenesis of AMD;aptamers against multiple targets may become the preferred drug for AMD.

Objective To evaluate the expression of endothelial Per-ARNT-Sim domain protein-1(EPAS-1)/hypoxia-inducible factor-2?(HIF-2?) and its relationship with vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in bladder transitional cell carcinoma (BTCC). Methods The expression of EPAS-1/HIF-2? and VEGF by immunohistochemical staining was examined in 60 cases of BTCC (Grade Ⅰ in 28 cases,Grade Ⅱ in 12,Grade Ⅲ in 20) and 8 subjects with normal urothelium. Of the 60 cases 29 had superficial (≤pT 1) bladder cancer and 31 had invasive (≥pT 2 bladder cancer).?2 test was used to assess the relationship between EPAS-1/HIF-2? and VEGF expression versus tumor grade and stage. Results The expressions of EPAS-1/HIF-2? and VEGF were negative in all normal bladder tissue but high in BTCC.Of the 60 cases,34 (56.6%) were positive and 26 ( 43.4%) were negative for EPAS1/HIF-2?.Four cases (14.3%) of Grade Ⅰ,11 (91.7%) of Grade Ⅱ and 19 (95.0%) of Grade Ⅲ were positive for EPAS-1/HIF-2?. Positive staining was seen in 5 (17.2%) of the superficial and 29 (93.5%) of the invasive cancer cases.EPAS-1/HIF-2? positivity was correlated with high histological grade (r=0.862,P

Objective To study the protective effect of the hypothermic brain-protection apparatus on hemorrhagic shock rabbits. Methods Applying the modified Wigger's shock animal model, we observed the effects of a self-developed brain-protecting apparatus on the survival time and vital signs of rabbits. Results Hypothermic brain protection could considerably reduce 60% lipid hyperoxide in brain tissues as compared with that in the control group. It could also decrease heart rate and respiration and hence reduce tissue oxygen consumption. Conclusion Hypothermic brain protection can attenuate the brain lesion and obviously prolong the survival time of hemorrhagic shock animals.
