Objective To explore the risk factors associated with surgery and postoperative recurrence in patients with Crohn's disease (CD).Methods A total of 183 patients diagnosed as CD from January 2008 to December 2013 were enrolled.Forty-six patients after surgery were assigned to surgery group,and 137 non-surgical CD patients were assigned to control group.All the patients were followed up until the endpoint of the study or death,and the follow-up period was at least 12 months.Typing was according to the Montreal classification.The risk factors associated with surgery and postoperative recurrence were analyzed by Logistic regression.Results The surgery rate of CD patients was 25.1 ％ (46/183),the postoperative clinical recurrence rate of surgery group was 39.1％ (18/46),and the recurrence time was 20 months (7～42 months).Before surgery,the rate of definite diagnosis of CD was only 13.0％ (6/46).Stricture (odd ratio (OR)=5.836,95％ confidence interval (CI) 2.199 to 15.487,P＜0.01) and penetration (OR=25.706,95％oo CI 7.091 to 93.190,P＜0.01) were independent risk factors for the surgery.Furthermore,perianal disease(OR=23.550,95％CI 1.311 to 422.912,P=0.032) and lack of prophylaxes treatment after surgery (OR=58.701,95％CI 1.803 to 1 991.000,P=0.022) were independent risk factors for postoperative clinical recurrence.Conclusions Stricture and penetration are risk factors for surgery.Perianal disease and lack of prophylaxes treatment after surgery are risk factors for postoperative clinical recurrence.

OBJECTIVE:To discuss the effects of Rujieping capsule on estrogen receptor(ER) and progesteron receptor(PR) of pathological tissues in rats with hyperplasia of mammary glands.METHODS:The rats were injected i.m with Estradiol benzoate injection for 25 days followed by the injection of Progesterone injection i.m for 5 days to establish the model of hyperplasia of mammary glands.Which were treated with high and low doses of Rujieping capsule respectively for 30 days with tamoxifen as positive control.RESULTS:Both tamoxifen and high and low doses of Rujieping capsules could lessen the symptoms of red swelling of nipples or hyperplasia of mammary glands,lower the levels of E2 and PRL,enhance the level of progestone,lower the index of uterus,markedly reduce the number of layers of the ductal epithelial cells,reduce the levels of ER and PR in mammary glands,and suppress mammoplasia.CONCLUSION:Rujieping capsules is effective in the treatment of hyperplasia of mammary glands in rats by regulating the level of estrogen and improve pathomorphologic change of hyperplastic mammary glands.

OBJECTIVE:To study the immunoregularoty effect of Lappaconitine in S180 tumor-bearing mice.METHODS: Each mouse was inoculated hypodermically with S180 tumor cells and normal sodium suspension,24 hours later,all the mice were injected i.m.with Lappaconitine q.d for 10 consecutive days.The immune function of the S180 tumor-bearing mice was detected.RESULTS: In Lappaconitine-treated mice,serum IgG level was heightened significantly;the 2,4-DNFB-induced delayed type hypersensitivity was enhanced;the induction of transformation of lymphocytes into lymphoblast was achieved;the phagocytic function of reticuloendothelial system was enhanced significantly,and the immune function of red cells was promoted.CONCLUSION: Lappaconitine could inhibit the growth of S180 tumor cells and significantly enhance the cellular immune function of S180 tumor-bearing mice.

OBJECTIVE:To optimize the basic formula of Compound Salicylic Acid and Chloramphenicol Gel with orthogonal design test.METHODS:The closage of CMC-Na、glycerin and ethanol were taken as the review object with the oligation grade as the evaluation index to conduct L9(33) orthogonal test and the contents of salicyclic acid and the chloramphenicol were determined by HPLC. RESULTS: The optimized basic formula was as follows: sodium carboxymethylcellulose 3 g, glycerine 10 g, and alcohol 35 mL.The average recovery of Salicylic Acid and Chloramphenicol were 99.1% and 101.6%,the RSD were 0.8% and 1.3%.CONCLUSION: The basic formula optimized with orthogonal test is proved to be stable and serve as theoretic basis for the industrialized production of this preparation.

Objective To explore the control effect of proactive monitoring on senile stroke women with Escherichia coli infection caused by indwelling catheter.Methods From October 2011 to September 2012 elderly female stroke patients with indwelling urinary catheter were chosen in the department of neurology and were given proactive monitoring,which included the following:management of antibiotics has been humanized,urinary catheter care used first-cleaning and then disinfection method,pathogen monitoring professionals directly went to the bacteria room for obtaining information.The monitoring results were compared with those last year.Results The urinary Escherichia coli infection in monitoring popu-lations declined sharply,Escherichia coli infection rate reduced from 20.5％ to 3.6％.The urinary infection rate in hospitalized patients reduced from 10.8％ to 5.7％ respectively.The preventive application of an-tibacterial drugs greatly reduced from 70.0％ to 24.7％.The nursing staff all mastered the nursing method of the catheter.Conclusions To give proactive monitoring to senile stroke women with indwelling urinary catheter can control Escherichia coli and other bacteria induced urinary infection due to indwelling catheter significantly,demonstrate a deterrent effect on unreasonable application of antibiotics,which can be recommended to control other indwelling catheter induced urinary hospital infection.

Objective To investigate the effects of high temperature preconditioning on hydrogen peroxide (H2 O2)-induced expression of mitochondrial metallothionein (MT) in rat cardiomyocytes.Methods The rat cardiomyocytes H9C2 cultured in vitro were randomly divided into 3 groups (n =6 each):control group (group C) ;H2O2 group (group H2O2); high temperature preconditioning group (group HTP).The cells were continuously cultured for 3 h in group C.The cells were cultured for 3 h in serum-free DMEM liquid culture medium containing H2O2 0.5 mmol/L in an incubator filled with 5％ CO2 at 37 ℃ in group H2O2.In group HTP,the cells were cultured in serum-containing DMEM liquid culture medium,then placed in a warm bath of 42 ℃ for 1 h,cultured for 12 h in an incubator filled with 5％ CO2 at 37 ℃,DMEM liquid culture medium was then removed,and the other procedures were similar to those previously described in group H2 O2.Myocardial cell apoptosis was observed by flow cytometry.The apoptotic rate was calculated.The ultrastructure of myocardial mitochondria was examined with electron microscope.The expression of mitochondrial MT in cardiomyocytes was determined using Western blot.Results Compared with group C,the apoptotic rate was significantly increased,and the expression of mitochondrial MT was up-regulated in groups H2O2 and HTP (P ＜ 0.01).The apoptotic rate was significantly lower,and the expression of mitochondrial MT was higher in group HTP than in group H2O2 (P ＜ 0.01).The mitochondrial injury was attenuated in group HTP as compared with group H2 O2.Conclusion The mechanism by which high temperature preconditioning reduces H2 O2-induced myocardial damage may be related to up-regulation of expression of mitochondrial MT in cardiomyocytes and endogenous myocardium-protective mechanism in rats.

Objective To observe the effect of acupuncture plus acupoint injection on the hyperhomocystinemia in the convalescent stage of cerebral infarction patients.Method A total of 120 patients in the convalescent stage of cerebral infarction with hyperhomocystinemia were randomized into group A, group B, and group C, 40 cases in each group. The three groups were intervened by conventional western medicine treatment and rehabilitation therapy, the group A was byXing Nao Kai Qiao acupuncture treatment in addition, the group B was by acupoint injection with cobamamide for injection and the group C was byXing Nao Kai Qiao acupuncture plus acupoint injection treatment. The change of the plasma homocysteine (HCY) level, the Barthel Index (BI) score and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score were observed before and after treatment.ResultEach index(the HCY level, BI score and NIHSS score) in the three groups was significantly changed after treatment(P<0.01). Each index in the group C was significantly different from that in the group A and group B after treatment(P<0.05,P<0.01). The HCY level of the group B after the treatment was significantly different from that of the group A.Conclusion Acupuncture plus acupoint injection can significantly change the HCY level of the convalescent stage of cerebral infarction patients with hyperhomocystinemia, improve the activity of daily living and nerve function.

Objective To explore the psychological stress of young nurses facing patients' death. Methods Young nurses in emergency department, ICU and hospice care ward (96 cases, research group) and young nurses in other departments(94 cases,control group)from 8 general hospitals were investigated by self-rating anxiety scale (SAS)and serf-rating depression scale (SDS).The results underwent comparison and analysis. Results SAS and SDS score,incidence of anxiety and depression in the research group were higher than those of the control group (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusions Young nurses who face patients' death frequently have high incidence rate of psychological stress.They show low psychological health level which deserves the close attention of nursing managers.

OBJECTIVE: Duplicating the classical alcoholic hepatic injury model, to provide an ideal animal model for research on prevention and treatment of hepatic injury. METHODS: According to the prescription of Lieber-DeCarli, the same calorie fluid animal feed, which contained ethanol or non-ethanol, was prepared. Twenty-three rats were divided into normal control group (n=5), control liquid diet group (n=9), ethanol liquid diet group (n=9). Rats in the normal control group were fed normal diet, and rats in the control liquid diet group and ethanol liquid diet group were fed the corresponding diet for eight weeks. The pathologic changes of hepatic tissue were observed. The activities of the serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST), the liver tissue gamma-glutamyltransferase (gamma-GT), the content of triglyceride (TG), and the lipid peroxidation by-products were assayed. RESULTS: Compared to the normal control and the control liquid diet groups, the activities of ALT, AST, and gamma-GT, and the lipid peroxidation by-products increased significantly in the ethanol liquid diet group. The pathological changes of cellular swelling and fatty degeneration in the ethanol liquid diet group were severe. CONCLUSION: Alcoholic hepatic injury model can be successfully duplicated by Lieber-DeCarli prescription.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the chemical characteristics of pericarps from Illicium species for developing a taxonomic and identification method for Illicium species.

METHODTwenty two samples from 17 Illicium species were detected with HPLC-MS. The chromatographic data were analyzed by cluster analysis using SAS software.

RESULTAccording to the similarity of chemical constituents of 22 samples. Illicium can be divided into five chemical sections. At the same time, the distribution of pseudoanisatin, 6-deoxypseudoanisatin, pseudomajucin was evaluated in 22 samples.

CONCLUSIONThe chemical constituents of pericarp of Illicium species can be characterized well by LC-MS chromatograms. LC-MS chromatograms can be used to identify the Chinese star anise. The results provided a certain basis to classify the Illicium species.
