Objective To explore the related structures of retrosigmoid approach by microanatomy and virtual anatomy and provide a reliable approach with more morphologic data. Methods Twenty sides of 10 adult cadaveric heads were dissected to simulate retrosigmoid approach under the microscope. The neurovascular structures of pontocerebellar trigone were observed, and the related structures were simultaneously measured based on the junction of superior petrosal sinus and sigmoid sinus and internal acoustic pore. The internal auditory canal was opened by drilling the margin of the internal auditory meatus and its structures were watched. With the help of Dexotroscope system, the data of five patients' CT and MRI were applied to reconstruct and anatomize the structure of retrosigmoid approach. Results It was found that the distance from the junction of superior petrosal sinus and sigmoid sinus to the trigeminal nerve was (38.50±2.64)mm, to the acoustic-facial bundle (27.80±2.25)mm, to the glossopharyngeal nerve (32.70±2.11)mm, to the hypoglossal nerve (44.30±2.05)mm, and the distance from internal acoustic pore to the trigeminal nerve was (5.68±1.55)mm, to the abducent nerve (13.80±1.81)mm, to the tentorium of cerebellum (5.00±0.66)mm, to the glossopharyngeal nerve (6.34±1.24)mm. The pontocerebellar trigone was divided into the anterior compartment, the middle compartment, the posterior compartment built on the acoustic-facial bundle and the glossopharyngeal nerve. Their structures were displayed after drilling the margin of the internal auditory meatus. Dexotroscope system clearly displayed asterion, the angle of transverse and sigmoid sinus, jugular foramen, internal acoustic pore, basilar artery and its branches, and theirs spatial relationship.Conclusion The three compartments of the pontocerebellar trigone are helpful to understand the feature of the neurovascular layer, the measurement is favorable to quantize the relation of the related structures and to judge the space of each compartment. Recognizing the anatomical marker of internal acoustic pore can support preservation of the inner structures. Virtual anatomy of Dexotroscope system can display local anatomical structure respectively. Both microanatomy and virtual anatomy have their advantages and disadvantages respectively and integration can be beneficial to understand neurovascular structures in the pontocerebellar trigone.

ObjectiveTo investigate response monitoring function in individuals with pathological internet use(PIU) using the modified Eriksen flanker task by event-related potentials(ERPs).Methods23 individuals met Young's diagnostic questionnaire (YDQ) criteria for PIU were enrolled as research group and 23 sexual-and age matched healthy persons enrolled as control group.EEG was recorded during participants performed the modified Erikson flanker task.Reactive time (RT) and error rates were compared between two groups. BESA 5.2.0was used to perform data analysisand theerror-related negativity(ERN)amnplitudeswereanalyzed.Results False alarm rate of PIU group was higher than that of control group.A repeated measure ANOVA revealed a significant group,frontal electrode sites and group × frontal electrode sites main effect for ERN amplitudes ( for group:F =768,df=1,P =0.000 ; for frontal electrode sites:F =615,df=2,P =0.000 ; for group × frontal electrode sites:F =516,df=2,P=0.000),and a significant group,central electrode sites and group × central electrode sites main effect for ERN amplitudes ( for group:F=768,df=1,P =0.000 ; for central electrode sites:F =599,df=2,P =0.000 ; for group × central electrode sites:F =483,df=2,P =0.000).ERN amplitudes of PIU group were lower than those at control group.ConclusionIndividuals with PIU present response monitoring dysfunctions and share neuropsychological and ERPs characteristics of compulsive-impulsive spectrum disorder,which supports that PIU is an impulse disorder or at least related to impulse control disorder.

Objective To investigate the effects of transection of cervical sympathetic trunk (TCST) on the blood flow of uterine artery (BFUA) and plasma concentrations of norepinephrine (NE) and nitric oxide (NO) in rats with pregnancy hypertension (PIH) . Methods Forty pregnant Wistar rats weighing 240-270 g were randomly divided into 5 groups with 8 animals in each group: control group( group C) , L-NAME induced hypertension groupl and 2 (group Bl, B2); TCST group and sham operation group. In control group no hypertension was induced. In group Bl and B2 hypertension was induced with L-NAME 12.5 mg.100-1 or 6.25 mg. 100-1 injected subcutaneously from 14 th to 20 th day of gestation. In TCST group TCST was performed on the 14th day of gestation and hypertension was induced as in group B1. In sham operation group cervical sympathetic trunk was exposed but not transected on the 14 th day of gestation and hypertension was induced as in group Bl. BFUA was measured and blood samples were taken from abdominal aorta for determination of plasma NE and NO concentrations on the 21 st day of gestation. Results (1) The mean BFUA during systole and systole + diastole was significantly lower in group Bl and B2 than that in group C ( P 0.05). Objective Low-dose naloxone has been shown to reduce side-effects of morphine while morphine analgesia is not antagonized and may even be enhanced. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of low-dose naloxone infusion (50 ng? kg-1? h-1 ) on morphine analgesia and plasma levels of opioid peptides in patients after abdominal hysterectomy.Methods Forty-two ASA Ⅰ- Ⅱ patients aged 36-50 yrs, weighing 55-67 kg undergoing abdominal hysterectomy under combined spinal-epidural anesthesia were enrolled in this study. Spinal puncture was performed at L2-3 interspace. The patients received intrathecal 0.75% ropivacaine 2.0-2.6 ml. 2% lidocaine was used for epidural injection. The block height was maintained at T8-6 . For postoperative analgesia the patients were randomized to receive either intravenous morphine infusion at 10 ?g?kg-1 ?h-1 (group M, n = 21) or IV morphine infusion (10 ?g?kg-1?h-1)+ naloxone infusion at 50 ng?kg-1?h-1 (group MN, n = 21). Pain was assessed using VAS (0-10) with 0 representing no pain and 10 representing the worst possible pain. Blood samples were taken from peripheral vein before anesthesia (T0), at the end of surgery (T1) and at 6, 24, 48 h (T2,3,4) after operation for determination of plasma levels of ?-endorphin (?-EP), dynorphin A1-13 (Dyn) and leu-enkepholin (L-EK) .Results The patients were comparable with respect to, age, weight, occupation and duration of operation between the two groups. Two patients (1 patient in each group) were excluded from the study because of their refusal to have repeated blood samples taken. The analgesia was significantly better in group MN than that in group M in terms of VAS scores. Objective: To investigate the development of tubulointerstitial fibrosis caused by partial unilateral ureter obstruction(PUUO) and the improvement of tubulointerstitial fibrosis after obstruction was relieved. Methods: PUUO was induced by the method of embedding upper half of the ureter into ipsilateral psoas.Obstruction was relieved by dissecting the ureter from psoas groove and returning its normal anatomical position.Pathology examination were performed,and collagenⅠand Ⅲ were semi-quantified by immunohistochemistry assay. Results: Massive accumulation of TypeⅠand Ⅲ collagen in tubulointerstitium leads to renal fibrosis.Renal fibrosis can recover if obstruction be relieved within 4 weeks. Conclusion: The results indicated tubuloinsterstitisl fibrosis develop progressively after PUUO,and fibrosis reduce by obstruction relief.

Objective To analyze the epidemiological trends of leprosy and evaluate the effectiveness of control in Zhejiang Province. Methods A retrospective study was conducted. Results By the end of 1999, 16 262 leprosy patients had been registered, of them 11 935 had been cured and only 97 were still remained. In 1999, active cases decreased by 99.02％ over 1973. The epidemiological trends of leprosy showed the increase of mean age at onset and type ratio, and the decrease of incidence in children. Conclusion The epidemicity of leprosy has been continuously dropping in Zhejiang Province due to the sustained effort and effective control.

Objective To investigate deficient inhibitory control in individuals with IAD using a visual go/no-go task by ERPs. Methods 26 individuals met YDQ criteria for IAD were enrolled as research group and marched sexual and age 26 healthy person enrolled as control group. BIS-11 was used for measures of impulsivity.A go/no-go task involved eight different two-digit numerical stimuli. The response window was 1000 ms and the ITIwas 1500 ms. EEG was recorded during participants performed the task. BESA 5.2.0 was used to perform data analysis and the no-go N2 amplitude was analyzed for investigation of inhibitory control. Results BIS-11 total scores, attentional key scores and motor key in IAD group were higher than that of control group. In the go/no-go task, false alarm rate of IAD group was higher and hit rate was lower than that of control group. A repeated measure ANOVA revealed a significant group, frontal electrode sites and group × frontal electrode sites main effect for N2amplitudes of no-go conditions ( for group: F= 3953, df= 1, P= 0.000;for frontal electrode sites: F= 541, df= 9, P= 0.000;for group × frontal electrode sites: F = 306, df = 9, P = 0. 000 ), and a significant group, central electrode sites and group × central electrode sites main effect for N2 amplitudes of no-go conditions ( for group: F=9074, df= 1, P = 0. 000;for central electrode sites: F = 163, df= 2, P = 0.000;for group × central electrode sites: F = 73, df= 2, P = 0.000). N2 amplitudes of no-go conditions were lower than those at control group. Conclusions Individuals with IAD were more impulsive than controls and shared neuropsychological and ERPs characteristics of compulsive-impulsive spectrum disorder, which supports that IAD is an impulse disorder or at leastrelated to impulse control disorder.

Objective To isolate and identify pancreatic stem cells of Kunming mouse and to observe the differentiation potency of those cells. Methods Pancreas of postnatal Kunming mice were digested by enzymes to isolate pancreatic stem cells. The potency of the cell differentiation was then identified with special marker of cytokeratin 19(CK 19), insulin and glucagons by immunocytochemical staining. Results Few epithelioid cells could be found to survive at the beginning of isolation, but when medium was replaced by that with growth factor, the cells proliferated quickly in fusiform shape and formed colony gradually. The cells were CK 19 immunoreactive positive after transfer of culture. After differentiation induced by high glucose, the cells formed the pancreatic islet like structures. Immunocytochemical staining showed that part of the cells of pancreatic islet like structures were insulin immunoreactive positive and few of the cells were glucagon immunoreactive positive. Conclusion Pancreatic stem cells of Kumming mouse can proliferate when cultured in vitro and have the potency of differentiation into ? and? cells of pancreatic islet.

Objective To investigate the value of glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c)and urine trace albumin (u -ALB)content in early diagnosis of type 2 diabetic nephropathy.Methods 200 patients with type 2 diabetes were selected as diabetes group,and 30 cases of healthy people as control group.According to the content of HbA1c, the diabetes patients were re -divided into low group (HbA1c <7%),the median group(7.1%≤HbA1c≤10%) and high value group (HbA1c >10.1%).The levels of HbA1c and u -ALB were detected and the correlation between them was calculated.Results The values of HbA1c (8.85 ±1.22)% and u -ALB (88.3 ±12.4)mg/L in the diabetes group were significantly higher than those of the control group (t =10.88,54.25,all P <0.05);The level of HbA1c in the high,medium and low group[(11.02 ±1.37)%,(8.45 ±2.01)%,(6.88 ±1.23)%]were consistent with the levels of the respective levels of fasting glucose[(13.22 ±2.05)mmol/L,(9.25 ±1.28)mmol/L, (6.27 ±0.63)mmol/L].HbA1c and constituting the u -ALB levels were positively correlated in the high,medium and low group(r =0.452,0.512,0.452,all P <0.05).Conclusion The combined detection of HbA1c and u -ALB levels has important value for early diagnosis of type 2 diabetic nephropathy.
