[Objective] To screen and identify the new Y-STR loci from the Y chromosome and examine the polymorphism of these Y-STR loci. [Method] To seek and locate the position of 5 Y-STR loci, including DYS709, DYS720, DYS721, DYS722, and DYS723, and perform sequencing of these 5 Y-STR loci. Then to investigate the polymorphism in unrelated Chinese Han males. [Results] Five Y-STR loci were identified from Y chromosome sequence. By scrutinizing the physical position on Y chromosome of previously reported Y-STRs, we found that three loci were novel and two loci overlapped with two loci published only online. All loci could be male-specifically amplified with a product size ranging from 185 bp to 278 bp. After 108 males of the Chinese Han Population (Guangzhou) were examined, we found 5 DYS709, 11 DYS720 alleles, 4 DYS721 alleles, 6 DYS722 alleles, and 6 DYS723 alleles. A total of 95 haplotypes were identified, 84 of which were unique, and with a haplotype diversity of 0.997 2±0.001 2(HD±SE). [Conclusion] This set of Y-STRs can be used as Y chromosome genetic makers in related fields.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the therapeu tic effectiveness of repaglinide in lowering the FBG and PPBG in type 2 diabetes among 68 patients.METHODS:68 cases were divided at random into two groups:Repaglinide group(34 patients, 17female, 17male) and Placebo-controlled gr oup(34 patients,16female and 18male).0.5mg repaglinide was taken orally before e ach meal in therapeutic group for 4 weeks, while the cases in control were treate d by placebo.RESULTS:Repaglinide could effectively decrease the leve ls of FBG,PPBG and HbA1C with significant difference when compare with the place bo(P<0.01).At the meantime,it could also lower the Cholesterol and triglyceride levels when compared with the control group(P<0.01).CO NCLUSION:Repaglinide was effective in lowering the levels of FBG,PPBG and HbA1C in type 2 diabetes patients without obvious side effects.

Objective:To evaluate natural reduction at prone position in the treatment of femoral subtrochanteric fractures with intramedullary nailing. Methods:The clinical data of 7 patients with subtrochanteric fracture were retrospectively analyzed who had been treated at Orthopaedic Department, Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital from August 2016 to April 2018. They were 4 males and 3 females, aged from 31 to 87 years (average, 55.6 years). Their fractures happened on the left side in 3 patients and on the right side in 4. By the Seinsheimer classification, there were 3 cases of type Ⅱ, 2 cases of type Ⅲ and 2 cases of type Ⅴ. The time from injury to surgery ranged from 9 to 44 hours, averaging 26 hours. All patients were treated by intramedullary nailing after natural reduction at prone position. Their preoperative preparation time, time required for reduction, total operation time, fluoroscopic frequency for guide pin insertion, fluoroscopic frequency for reduction, reduction quality, complications and curative effect were recorded. Results:Closed reduction and intramedullary nail fixation were completed uneventfully in all the 7 cases. Their preoperative preparation time averaged 29.4 min (from 21 to 42 min), reduction time 6.3 min (from 3 to 10 min), and total operation time 157 min (from 82 to 275 min). Their fluoroscopic frequency averaged 37 times (from 14 to 96 times) for guide pin insertion and 23 times (from 10 to 49 times) for reduction, totaling 244 times (from 121 to 360 times). According to the modified Baumgaetner criteria, the fracture reduction was evaluated as excellent in 6 cases and as fair in one. The 7 patients were followed up for 12 to 34 months (mean, 20.1 months). A drill broke at the interlocking nail hole during operation in one patient, deep venous thrombosis occurred at a lower extremity in another during hospitalization, and fracture nonunion was observed after operation in another, but no complications related to the prone position were observed. The curative effect evaluated by Harris hip score at the last follow-up was excellent in 4 cases, as good in 2 cases and as fair in one. Conclusion:In the treatment of femoral subtrochanteric fractures with intramedullary nailing, the prone position benefits natural reduction and maintenance of reduction and allows convenient fluoroscopy and nail placement during operation, especially for obese patients.

Objective:To investigate the application and effect of the virtual reality (VR) combined with the augmented reality (AR) integrated teaching system in stomatology general medical education of clinical medicine students. Methods:A total of 160 undergraduates from the five-year clinical medicine Batch 2015 of Naval Medical University were randomly divided into VR+AR group and traditional group, with 80 students in each group. A comparative analysis was made on the previous and teaching achievements of the two groups of students, and a questionnaire survey was conducted after the completion of the class. Epidata 3.0 was used to input questionnaire data, and SPSS 23.0 software was used to carry out t test, chi-square test and Fisher precision test. Results:There was no statistical difference in written test scores between the VR+AR group and the traditional group [(52.65±3.76) vs. (51.90±3.46), P=0.516], but the VR+AR group was significantly higher than the traditional group in case analysis scores [(35.85±2.56) vs. (31.40±2.96), P < 0.001] and overall performance [(88.50±4.95) vs. (83.30±4.86), P= 0.002]. The questionnaire survey results showed that the scores of "teaching mode" [(92.30±6.90) vs. (85.20±7.30), P<0.001], "teaching method" [(91.70±5.90) vs. (86.00±6.70), P=0.012] and "teaching improvement" [(90.70± 8.70) vs. (82.30±8.40), P<0.001] in VR + AR group were significantly higher than those in the traditional teaching group. Conclusion:The VR combined with AR integrated teaching system can significantly improve teaching performance and teaching quality, and is convenient for teaching demonstrations and simulation operations in small oral spaces, and is especially suitable for oral general medical education for clinical medicine.
