OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for health service support at high altitude area. METHODS:375 servicemen who rapidly entered high altitude area were investigated by questionnaire in 2013 to investigate the compliance of using high alti-tude special medicines and incidence of mountain sickness and analyze its correlation. RESULTS:375 questionnaires were distribut-ed and 324 questionnaires were collected with effective response rate of 86.4%. The utilization rate of Multivitamin tablet,Skin cream and Lip balm for high altitude area were 30.9%,13.3% and 40.1% respectively. The compliance of using high altitude spe-cial medicines had effect on the incidence of related mountain sickness. The incidence of mountain sickness of people who followed the physician’s instructions was significantly lower than those who did not. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:High altitude special medicines can relieve and prevent the mountain sickness. But the overall compliance of us-ing high altitude special medicines was not ideal. The education of high altitude special medicines should be strengthened, and dos-age forms and medicine instruction should be enhanced to improve its compliance and play better protective effect.

Objective To study the effects of bone mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)transplantation on pulmonary tissue fibrosis in silicosis rats. Methods Forty-two healthy female SD rats were randomly divided into 4 groups:group A,B,C and D.The group A,B and C received intratracheal injection of silica crystals(SiO2)to establish silicosis mouse models, while the group D received the infusion of physiological saline.BMSCs were injected by the tail vein at 6 h after modeling or on 42 d in the group B and C.Six rats in each of group A,B,and D were sacrificed on 14 d,and other 6 rats in each group were sacrificed on 56 day.The morphological changes of the lung tissues were observed by HE staining;the content of hydroxyproline(Hyp)in the lung tissue homogenate was detected by ELISA.Results The lung tissue pathological changes in the group A were dominated by acute inflammatory response on 14 d after model construction, and fibrosis reaction on 56 d;the pathological changes in the group B and C were lighter than those in the group A;while no obvious abnormality was found in the group D.The Hyp level of pulmonary tissue in the group A,B and C was significantly increased compared with the group D(P=0.000);which on 14 d after BMSCs treatment in the group B and C was significantly decreased compared with the group A(P=0.000,P=0.035),and which on 56 d after treatment in the group B was still significantly decreased(P=0.016).Conclusion No matter in the pathological stages of pulmonary alveolitis and fibrosis,BMSCs transplantation may postpone the pathological process of pulmonary fibrosis in silicosis rats.

Objective To construct an executable model of a hypoxia response network (HRN) and to analyze the dynamic evolution mechanism of an HRN including randomness as well as concurrency based on computer simulation. Methods Specific evolution rules and Gillespie algorithm were adoped to study the dynamic evolution of the structural model based on the construction of a structural model of an HRN using stochastic Petri net ( SPN ) .Results Dynamic evolution laws of an HRN were obtained and the simulation results were consistent with laboratory results in response to descript switch-like behavior of an HRN .Conclusion A visualization model of the HRN can be achieved using SPN method.Simulation results achieved by executing the model based on stochastic simulation using specific kinetic parameters can serve as a nice complement to traditional laboratory results , which can help shed light on the structure and function characteristics of an HRN.

Dyslipidemia is one of the most common complications of primary biliary cholangitis (PBC). This article reviews the latest research on lipid profile, the risk of cardiovascular diseases, and treatment of PBC with hyperlipidemia. Different from other liver diseases, PBC with hyperlipidemia has a unique lipid profile, which changes dynamically with disease progression. It is generally not considered that there are increased risks of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. For those who have indications for treatment, statins are recommended as the first choice. In the future, more in-depth systematic studies are needed to clarify its diagnosis, treatment, and management processes.

Male breast cancer (MBC) is rare and accounts for approximately 1% of all breast cancer cases worldwide. Previous studies have suggested that several factors significantly increase the risk of MBC. Prolactinoma has the highest incidence rate among patients with functional pituitary tumors. However, whether prolactinoma is involved in the onset and progression of breast cancer remains unclear. To date, there are only five case reports globally on MBC with concurrent prolactinoma. We hereby describe the first case of MBC with prolactinoma in China. We also explored the patient's genetic profile using whole exome sequencing. Our findings may help advance our understanding of the molecular pathogenesis of MBC. Further molecular analyses of such cases are warranted to improve auxiliary molecular diagnostic methods and targeted therapy for MBC.

Journal of Clinical Hepatology 2023;39(4):804-809
Objective To investigate the effect of Compound Lingdan Capsule on serum biochemical parameters and liver fibrosis degree in a mouse model of liver fibrosis. Methods A total of 125 specific pathogen-free male C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into normal control group with 5 mice, CCl 4 model group with 15 mice, low-, middle-, and high-dose CCl 4 groups (0.8, 1.6, and 3.2 mg·g -1 ·d -1 ) with 15 mice in each group, DDC model group with 15 mice, and low-, middle-, and high-dose DDC groups (0.8, 1.6, and 3.2 mg·g -1 ·d -1 ) with 15 mice in each group. After successful modeling, the mice in the administration groups were given Compound Lingdan Capsule suspension at the respective doses by gavage, and those in the normal control group and the model group were given an equal volume of normal saline by gavage, for 4 consecutive weeks. Blood samples were collected from the eyeballs, and serum was used to measure aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), albumin, and bilirubin. Liver tissue samples were collected at the same site of the right lobe of the liver for pathological observation, Sirius Red staining, α-SMA antibody staining, and COL1A1 antibody staining. A one-way analysis of variance was used for comparison of continuous data between multiple groups, and the Bonferroni method was used for further comparison between two groups. Results Compared with the model group, each dose group had significant reductions in the serum level of ALT and a significant increase in the serum level of albumin after the administration of Compound Lingdan Capsule (all P < 0.05), the levels of AST and bilirubin in the middle and high dose groups were lower (all P < 0.05), and the difference of each index in the high dose group was more significant than that in the low dose group (all P < 0.05). Each dose group had varying degrees of improvement in the pathological changes of the liver and a significant reduction in the number of Sirius Red staining-positive cells, as well as varying degrees of reduction in the protein expression of α-SMA and COL1A1. Conclusion Compound Lingdan Capsule can improve liver function and reduce liver fibrosis degree in mice with liver fibrosis.
