1.Visual analysis of hotspots and frontiers on artificial intelligence in nursing in China

Objective:To explore the research status of artificial intelligence in nursing in China, so as to provide reference for conducting research domestically.Methods:The relevant literature collected from January 1, 2003 to May 1, 2023 was searched on China National Knowledge Infrastructure, WanFang Data, and VIP. CiteSpace and VOS viewer were used to visually analyze the research status, hotspots, and frontiers of artificial intelligence in nursing in China from the aspects of annual publication volume, region, institution, author, high-frequency keywords, and emerging words.Results:A total of 494 articles were included. In terms of publication volume, domestic research showed an overall upward trend, with publishing institutions mostly concentrated in economically developed and medically advanced regions. The authors of the articles often collaborated with research groups, with a co-authorship rate of 81.17% (401/494), but there was relatively little collaboration between groups. Research hotspots were focused on the application of artificial intelligence in geriatric nursing, rehabilitation nursing, Operating Rooms, and drug formulation, with a majority of research related to robots.Conclusions:The research enthusiasm in related fields in China is currently on the rise. Research on artificial intelligence in nursing management, nursing education, and psychological nursing can be strengthened, and the application of artificial intelligence can be enriched. At the same time, research institutions and personnel should strengthen mutual cooperation, and relevant national departments should improve laws and regulations to promote the vigorous development of this research field.
2.Qualitative Analysis of Ideological and Political Education Content in Nursing Courses from Xinhua Net

Objective:To analyze the current research status of ideological and political education content in domestic nursing courses and facilitate nursing education reform.Methods:Using purposeful sampling, 25 exemplary cases of ideological and political education in nursing courses from Xinhua Net were selected. NVivo 12 software was employed for content analysis, summarizing the ideological and political elements, carriers of these elements, and types of integration methods in nursing courses.Results:Nursing educators have thoroughly explored ideological and political elements, with the most attention given to professional ethics, though less focus was placed on personality development. A variety of carriers for ideological and political elements were utilized, with practical experience being the most common, but there was a lack of integration with policy and regulations. Various integration methods were applied, with interactive methods being the most frequently used, while practical approaches were less common.Conclusions:Future nursing education should emphasize fostering students' sense of national identity and focus more on personality development. It is important to promote a more balanced use of carriers for ideological and political elements, paying particular attention to policy-related content. The use of information technology in teaching should also be explored to flexibly apply various teaching methods, achieving the subtle integration of ideological and political education within nursing curricula.
3.Relationship betweenserum TSH and dyslipidemia

Objective To investigate the relationship between serum thyrotrophin(TSH)and dyslipidemia in subclinical hypothyroid and euthyroid subjects. Methods An epidemiological study on diabetes and thyroid diseases was performed in Dadong community, Shenyang city, in 2007. 110 subjects with subclinical hypothyroidism(SCH)and 1 240 euthyroid subjects were enrolled in the study. Neither history of thyroid diseases nor administration of thyroid-related and lipid-regulating medicines were reported in these subjects. The levels of serum thyroid hormones, lipids, fasting plasma glucose(FPG), and insulin were determined. Results (1)Patients with SCH had significantly lower HDL-C levels than those who were euthyroid.(2)According to the guideline of treatment of adult dyslipidemia in China, the lipid profiles were each categorized. Mean TSH levels were higher in subjects in the dyslipidemia subclass than subjects in the normal subclass. The differences were significant in high LDL-C subclass in overweight individuals. In euthyroid overweight women, mean TSH levels were significantly higher in high LDL-C subclass. In the euthyroid population, TSH was positively associated with total cholesterol in overweight population. The association was not modified by the homestasis model assessment for insulin resistance(HOMA-IR)values.(3)TSH was associated positively with serum triglycerides and negatively with serum HDL-C in women. TSH was positively associated with total cholesterol in overweight population and positively associated with total cholesterol and LDL-C in overweight women after adjustment for age, sex, and body mass index. Conclusion Raised serum TSH seems to be a risk factor of dyslipidemia in subclinical hypothyroid and euthyroid subjects, which is independent of insulin sensitivity.

5.Application of epinephrine saline rinsing solution in hemostasis of cleft palate repair

Objective:To investigate the hemostatic effect of epinephrine saline rinse solution in cleft palate repair.Methods:A total of 100 children who underwent cleft palate repair in the operating room of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shantou University Medical College from 2018 to 2020 were selected, Among them, 51 were males and 49 females, aged from 6 months to 12 years, with an average (2.5±2.49) years. The patients were divided into two groups according to whether to use epinephrine saline flushing fluid: in group A, 43 cases were treated with adrenaline saline irrigation solution to wash the incision during the operation; gauze soaked in rinse solution was used to fill the oral cavity before endotracheal intubation and extubation after operation; in B group of 57 cases, no intraoperative rinses were used. The intraoperative blood loss and operation duration were compared between the two groups.Results:Intraoperative use in group A after adrenaline saline rinses showed that the intraoperative blood loss of children (16.23±4.88) ml was significantly lower than that of group B (19.26±4.13) ml. The duration of operation in group A (109.79±40.27) min was significantly shorter than that in group B (137.16±50.47) min, The difference was statistically significant ( t=2.92, P<0.05). Conclusions:The incision is rinsed with epinephrine saline solution during cleft palate repair. In addition, before endotracheal intubation and extubation after operation, gauze soaked in rinsing solution is used to fill the oral cavity, which could significantly reduce the amount of bleeding and shorten the operation time.
6.Application of Three-Dimensional Rotational Digital Subtraction Angiography and Three-Dimensional Reconstruction Technique in the Interventional Treatment of Visceral Artery Aneurysm

Objective:To evaluate the application of three‐dimensional(3D) rotational digital subtraction angiography(DSA) and three‐dimensional reconstruction technique in the interventional treatment of visceral artery aneurysm .Methods:A total of 25 patients with visceral artery aneurysm ,who underwent 3D rotational DSA and reconstruction before the interventional embolization treatment in the Department of Interventional Radiology ,Zhongshan Hospital ,Fudan University during Jan 2007 and Aug 2015 ,were selected .3D rotational DSA and reconstruction was performed by using Siemens Artis DTA or Philips Allura F20 DSA equipment ,and the results were compared with that of conventional 2D DSA .Results:There were 8 hepatic artery aneurysms ,10 splenic artery aneurysms ,3 renal artery aneurysms ,3 gastroduodenal artery aneurysms ,and 1 inferior pancreaticoduodenal artery aneurysm among the 25 patients .The 3D rotational DSA procedures were successful in all patients , and the success rate was 100% .Anatomical morphology including the diameter ,neck and cavity of aneurysm was exhaustively demonstrated .A total of 30 aneurysms were diagnosed by 3D rotational DSA among the 25 patients .Among the 30 aneuryms , only 27 aneurysms were confirmed by conventional 2D DSA ,and the aneurysm necks of 15 aneurysms were not exhaustively demonstrated due to the anatomical overlapping of the large aneurysm cavity , or the vessel tortuosity . Conclusions: As compared to the conventional 2D DSA ,the 3D rotational DSA and reconstruction can demonstrate anatomical information of visceral artery aneurysms more precisely , especially the aneurysm neck , so as to provide more precise images for the interventional diagnosis and treatment .

This study investigated the relationship between serum thyrotrophin levels and dyslipidemia in subclinical hypothyroid and euthyroid subjects. A total of 110 subjects with subclinical hypothyroidism and 1,240 euthyroid subjects enrolled in this study. Patients with subclinical hypothyroidism had significantly lower high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) levels than those who were euthyroid. The lipid profiles were each categorized and mean thyrotrophin levels were higher in subjects in the dyslipidemia subclasses than subjects in the normal subclasses. Thyrotrophin was positively associated with serum triglyceride and negatively associated with serum HDL-C in women. Thyrotrophin was also positively associated with total cholesterol (TC) in the overweight population along with TC and LDL-C in overweight women. In the euthyroid population, thyrotrophin was positively associated with TC in the overweight population. In conclusion, serum thyrotrophin was correlated with dyslipidemia in subclinical hypothyroid and euthyroid subjects; the correlation was independent of insulin sensitivity.

8.Experience of Medicinal Insects for Gynaecological Diseases

It is believed that all kinds of gynaecological diseases are mostly related to deficiency and stagnation of qi and blood. Medicinal insects are good at running and scurrying, with the effectiveness of activating blood circulation and dispelling blood stasis, moving qi and relieving pain, searching and dredging collaterals, attacking hardness and dissipating mass, and purging foetus and resolving mass, etc. Appropriate prescriptions can enhance the effectiveness of the formula in eliminating blood stasis and eliminating stagnation. In the treatment of menstrual disorders, chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, uterine cavity disease, incomplete miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, and other gynaecological diseases, medicinal insects including Quanxie (Scorpio), Wugong (Scolopendra), Tubiechong (Eupolyphaga/Steleophaga), Jiuxiangchong (Coridius chinenses), Shuizhi (Hirudo), Mangchong (Tabanus), Dilong (Pheretima) and other insects for medicinal purposes could be used, and the self-prescribed empirical formulas such as Sanhuang Decoction (三黄汤), Hongteng Decoction (红藤汤), Penning Decoction (盆宁方), Shapei Decoction (杀胚方), and Gongwaiyun Decoction (宫外孕方) and so on, were all applied medicinal insects and showed effective in clinic.
9.Cellular metabolism and homeostasis in pluripotency regulation.

Pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) can immortally self-renew in culture with a high proliferation rate, and they possess unique metabolic characteristics that facilitate pluripotency regulation. Here, we review recent progress in understanding the mechanisms that link cellular metabolism and homeostasis to pluripotency regulation, with particular emphasis on pathways involving amino acid metabolism, lipid metabolism, the ubiquitin-proteasome system and autophagy. Metabolism of amino acids and lipids is tightly coupled to epigenetic modification, organelle remodeling and cell signaling pathways for pluripotency regulation. PSCs harness enhanced proteasome and autophagy activity to meet the material and energy requirements for cellular homeostasis. These regulatory events reflect a fine balance between the intrinsic cellular requirements and the extrinsic environment. A more complete understanding of this balance will pave new ways to manipulate PSC fate.
