Objective To evaluate the value of CT and ultrasonography in the diagnosis of originative malignant tumors of the female internal genitals.Methods 147 cases of originative malignant tumors comfirmed pathology in the female internal genitals were restropectively analyzed.Among them,73 cases were examined by CT.The CT findings were analyzed and compared with ultrasonography.Results Ultrasonography was proved to be slightly superior in the rate of definite diagnosis and also the cost was lower than CT.Conclusion The authors recommend that ultrasonography examination may be used as screening method for the orignative malignant tumors of the female internal genitals,and CT may be used as a important complementary method.

Objective To analyze the postoperative quality of life index and survival of Ⅱ,Ⅲ type adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction (AEG) patients who were implemented radical surgery through the transthoracic approach or abdominal transhiatal approach.To explore the reasonable operative approach of Ⅱ,Ⅲ type AEG.Methods 139 cases of patients with Ⅱ,Ⅲ type AEG were prospectively enrolled into the group in Shanxi Cancer Hospital during March 2012 to September 2012.64 cases of them were in transthoracic approach (TT) group,and 75 cases in abdominal transhiatal approach (TH) group.The operative time,the residual incision margin cancer rate,the average number of lymph node dissection,postoperative hospital stay,the average number of days required for gastrointestinal function recovery,the incidence of cardiopulmonary complications,anastomotic leakage rate,postoperative bleeding rate,perioperative mortality,postoperative respiratory function decline rate within 1 year,the average weight loss after 1 year,postoperative reflux rate within 1 year,recurrence and metastasis rate within 1 year,and 1-year survival rate of two groups were respectively compared.Results Statistical analysis was done on the perioperative data of 139 patients,and regular follow-up was carried out for these 139 patients after they discharged from hospital,of which 26 cases were lost,the lost rate was 18.7 ％,so the followed-up cases were 113 cases.Postoperative hospital stay in transthoracic approach group was longer than abdominal transhiatal approach group with significant difference,(20.2±8.9) d vs (17.1±6.4) d (P ＜ 0.05),the average number of lymph node dissection in transthoracic approach group (15.2±7.5) was less than abdominal transhiatal approach group (23.0±13.0) with significant difference (P ＜ 0.05).No significant difference were observed in the operative time,the residual incision margin cancer rate,the average number of days required for gastrointestinal function recovery,the incidence of cardiopulmonary complications,anastomotic leakage rate,postoperative bleeding rate,perioperative mortality,postoperative respiratory function decline rate within 1 year,the average weight loss after 1 year,postoperative reflux rate within 1 year,recurrence and metastasis rate within 1 year,and 1-year survival rate of the two operation approaches (all P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions Abdominal approach,through the esophageal hiatus radical surgery is a preferred operative approach of Ⅱ,Ⅲ type AEG.The average number of lymph node dissection in abdominal transhiatal approach group was more than transthoracic approach group.It may have some influence on the prognosis.

Objective To discuss the effect of nicotine on the growth of rabbit tendon cells.Method 1% concetration Nicotine(0 5ml/kg) was injected into rabbit's auditive vein,then femoral vein blood was extracted at 3 minutes later. Separating blood serum and add it into F-12 medium and 10% fetal bull serum,penicillin,streptomycin,vitC which was then used to culture rabbit tendon cells, observating the time of cell number growth duplication of test group and drawn up its growth curve. The control group was treated as the test group except the rabbit was not injected by nicotine.Results The time of cell number growth duplication of test group was 9?2 1 days and the control group was 7?1 1 days,there was difference significatly between the two groups.Conclusion Nicotine can restrain the growth of rabbit tendon cells and enhance tendon's adhesiveness in post-operation.

50%),including 22 complicated with hypertension cases were retrospectively analyzed and statistics their fluid infusion volume,serum albumin levels serum sodium,blood sugar and general infections conditions were summarized,and compared with non-hypertension cases.Results The difference of fluid infusion volume between them was no significance in statistics.The difference of serum Na +,blood sugar,serum albumin levels between them was significant.All of 22 cases of hypertension had toxemia symptom,12 of 22 cases in control group occured toxemia symptom,morbidity peak of hypertension was accorded with infection morbidity peak.Conclusions General infection after burns could play an important role during the happening of hypertension after burns. We should pay more attention to the therapy of infection in treatment period.

Objective To explore the relationship of molecular biology characteristic and the treatment outcome,and influence factors of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in inflammatory breast cancer (IBC).Methods The clinicopathological data of 103 IBC patients who were treated with NAC from January 2005 to June 2013 were analyzed retrospectively.Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of estrogen receptor (ER),progesteron receptor (PR),human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER-2) and E-cadherin.The treatment outcome were evaluated.Results In 103 IBC patients,ER negative was 48 patients,PR negative was 51 patients,HER-2 positive was 45 patients,E-cadherin positive was 66 patients.The effective rate of chemotherapy was 72.8％ (75/103).The effective rate of chemotherapy in taxane-based group was significantly higher than that in anthracycline-based group [80.6％ (50/62) vs.61.0％(25/41)],and there was significant difference (P ＜ 0.05).The effective rate of chemotherapy in ER,PR,E-cadherin negative patients was significantly higher than that in ER,PR,E-cadherin positive patients [83.3％ (40/48) vs.63.6％ (35/55),82.4％ (42/51) vs.63.5％ (33/52),83.8％ (31/37) vs.66.7％ (44/66)],and there was significant difference (P ＜ 0.05).The effective rate of chemotherapy in taxane-based group with E-cadherin positive patients was significantly higher than that in anthracycline-based group with E-cadherin positive patients [77.5％ (31/40) vs.50.0％ (13/26)] (P ＜0.05).No correlation existed between the expression of HER-2 and the treatment outcome of chemotherapy (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion ER,PR and E-cadherin negative patients with IBC is chemosensitive to NAC.The positive expression of E-cadherin may be an important factor of chemotherapy resistance.For the patients with E-cadherin positive,taxane-based chemotherapy regimen can achieve a better effective rate.

Objective To evaluate the necessity and feasibility by using two different PCR-based techniques for prenatal diagnosis of thalassemia. Methods 509 specimens for prenatal diagnosis of thalassemia were detected respectively by single tube multiplex PCR(STMP),reverse dot blot(RDB)or probe melting curve assay(PMCA)for commonα-thalassemia orβ-thalassemia mutations in double-blind tests. Samples with different detection results were confirmed with DNA sequencing analysis. Prenatal diagnosis of thalassemia results were verified or followed up after birth. Results In detectingα-thalassemia andβ-thalassemia,there was one case in STMP + RDB and another case PMCA indicating differentiating results. The detection sensitivity of STMP + RDB was higher than that of PMCA,and its difference can be used as an indication for maternal blood contamination. Conclusion The two PCR methods with different principles were necessary and feasible for the prenatal diagnosis of thalassemia. The two methods were complementary to each other ,which can ensure the reliability of the prenatal diagnosis results and reduce the defects of single technique. It is worthy to be popularized in clinical application.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of liposuction-curettage under negative pressure combined with Xiaozhiling injection for the treatment of axillary bromhidrosis.Methods The operative field was marked along the border of hair-bearing area of axilla with a distal margin of 0.5-1 cm.Subcutaneous tissue was removed by stroke movement under negative pressure after tumescent anesthesia.Subsequently,Xiaozhiling injection was injected into the subcutaneous space.All the patients were followed for at least 3 months,and therapeutic efficacy was evaluated quantitatively.Results A total of 72 patients (144 sides) with axillary bromhidrosis were treated with this method from March 2009 to May 2012,including 16 males and 56 females aged 14-41 years.All the patients experienced primary healing with no necrosis or hematoma formation within one week after the operation.The follow-up lasted 3 to 18 months (average: 8 months).Among the 144 sides,133 (92.4％) were cured,11 (7.6％) were improved,with the response rate being 100％.Postoperative scar is invisible,and patients were satisfied with the treatment outcomes.Conclusion The combined therapy is a simple and effective approach to the treatment of axillary bromhidrosis with a fast recovery and less complications.

Background and purpose:In the process of gastric cancer development, cytothesis and apoptosis, and endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS) are very important pathological processes. Glucose regulated protein 78 (GRP78) and phosphorylated form of extracellular signal-regulated protein kinase (pERK) play important roles in it. This study aimed to investigate the expression of GRP78 and pERK in gastric adenocarcinoma, chronic atrophic gastritis and superficial gastritis, and the role of GRP78 and pERK in the development of gastric adenocarcinoma. Methods:Gastric adenocarcinoma, chronic atrophic gastritis and superifcial gastritis tissues in 60 cases respectively were employed in the study. We chose 25 fresh tissue samples from each group, and the level of GRP78 and pERK mRNA in different tissues were detected by RT-PCR assay. The expressions of GRP78 and pERK in different parafifn samples were detected using immunohistochemistry assay. In addition, the relationships between GRP78 and pERK expression and age, gender, differentiation, invasion, disease stage, and lymphoid node metastasis were analyzed. Results: The expression level of GRP78 and pERK mRNA in gastric adenocarcinoma(1.26±0.18, 2.35±0.36) were significantly higher than chronic atrophic gastritis (0.89±0.25, 1.18±0.25) and superficial gastritis (0.29±0.09, 0.68±0.10, P<0.01). The positive ratio of GRP78 expression in gastric adenocarcinoma, chronic atrophic gastritis and superficial gastritis were 78.3%, 46.6%, 6.7%. The positive ratios of pERK expression were 88.3%, 43.3%, 5.0%, respectively. The GRP78 and pERK expression in different tissues were signiifcantly different (P<0.01). GRP78 and pERK expression were positively correlated with differentiation, disease stage and lymph node metastasis. There was a positive correlation between the gene and protein expression of GRP78 and pERK with a Pearson correlation value of 0.307 and 0.368, respectively. Both univariate and multivariate analysis revealed that GRP78 was related to the prognosis of gastric adenocarcinoma. Conclusion:GRP78 and pERK may play an important role in the transition of normal gastric cells to malignant cells. The expression of these two genes enhances tumor progression. Overexpression of GRP78 and pERK is significantly correlated with poor prognosis in patients with gastric adenocarcinoma. The determination of the expression of GRP78 and pERK might be helpful for the prevention, early diagnosis of gastric carcinoma. Particularly, GRP78 is valuable for the judgement of prognosis, and might be a new target for the treatment of gastric adenocarcinoma.

This study investigated the effects and molecular mechanisms of genistein in improving insulin resistance induced by free fatty acids (FFAs) in HepG2 hepatocytes. A model of insulin resistance in HepG2 cells was established by adding palmitic acid (0.5 mmol/L) to the culture medium and the cells were treated by genistein. Glucose consumption of HepG2 cells was determined by glucose oxidase method. The levels of c-jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) phosphorylation, insulin receptor substrate-1 (IRS-1) Ser307 phosphorylation, JNK, IRS-1, phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase p85 (PI-3K p85) and glucose transporter 1 (GLUT1) proteins were detected by Western blotting. The results showed that after the treatment with palmitic acid for 24 h, the insulin-stimulated glucose transport in HepG2 cells was inhibited, and the glucose consumption was substantially reduced. Meanwhile, the expressions of IRS-1, PI-3K p85 protein and GLUT1 were obviously reduced, while the levels of JNK phosphorylation and IRS-1 Ser307 phosphorylation and the expression of JNK protein were significantly increased, as compared with cells of normal control. However, the aforementioned indices, which indicated the existence of insulin resistance, were reversed by genistein at 1-4 μmol/L in a dose-dependent manner. It was concluded that insulin resistance induced by FFAs in HepG2 hepatocytes could be improved by genistein. Genistein might reverse FFAs-induced insulin resistance in HepG2 cells by targeting JNK.

Objective:To determine drug dose and usage of timolol maleate eye drops in the treatment of superficial infantile hemangioma.Methods:A total of 250 superficial hemangioma infants were recruited and assigned into 5 groups (n=50 for each group):an external application group and 4 exterior coating groups (2,4,6,8 times per day).We evaluated the therapeutic effect of different methods for drug application (external application or exterior coating) and the frequency for drug administration on superficial infantile hemangioma.Results:The external application group (twice a day and 0.5 hour per time) showed better effect than that in the exterior coating group with twice a day (P＜0.001).The difference in therapeutic effect between the exterior coating group with 6 times a day and exterior coating group with twice a day or with 3 times a day was significant (P＜0.001).The differences in drug efficacy were not found among the exterior coating group with 6 times a day,the exterior coating group with 8 times a day,or the external application group with twice a day (All P＞0.05).Conclusion:Drug dose may affect the therapeutic effect oftimolol maleate eye drops in superficial hemangioma infants,and exterior coating with 6 times a day may achieve the best curative effect.
