Objective To observe the change of expression of inwardly rectifying K+(Kir)2.3 mRNA and protein of Kir in the hippocampus of rats with chronic temporal lobe epilepsy(TLE)in different time points and the effect of Tenidap a Kir2.3 channel opener on its expression, investigate the relationship between Kir2.3 and the pathogenesis of TLE and to explore the potential of Kir agonists as anti-epileptic drugs. Methods The pilocarpine TLE rat model was used.Animals were randomly assigned to the control or the status epilepticus(SE)groups, which were further divided into four time point subgroups consisting of 0.6,72 hours, and 2 weeks post-SE termination.Another subgroup was given Tenidap,a Kir2.3 channel opener, and tested 2 weeks post-SE.Hippoeampi were removed and the expression of Kir2.3 mRNA and protein at different time points was measured by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)and western blotting. Results The ratios of Kir2.3 mRNA and β-actin in normal control and 0,6,72hours and 2 weeks after SE termination were 0.080±0.030,0.103±0.045,0.164±0.026,0.132±0.024.0.011±0.008,respectively(F=23.684,P<0.01).The ratios of Kir2.3 protein and GAPDH in propotional groups were0.305±0.030,0.263±0.028,0.767±0.167,0.498±0.077,0.176±0.026(F=44.183.P<0.05).The expression of Kir2.3 channel in the epileptic rats was bimodal, increasing immediately after SE,relative to controls, and declining in the chronically epileptic period.Tenidap administration upregulated both the mRNA(0.021±0.006)and protein expression(0.636±0.140) of Kir2.3(F=25.216 and 47.355,P<0.05 and 0.01).Condusion These findings suggest that the pathogenesis of TLE is accompanied by a decrease in Kit2.3 expression, which may be ameliorated by the administration of tenidap.

Asian Nursing Research 2021;15(3):163-173
Purpose:
Nurses’ musculoskeletal diseases (MSDs) are worldwide prevalent and are considered to be a costly occupational injury. This study aims to investigate the relationship between exposure to occupation-related psychosocial factors, physical workload, and upper body musculoskeletal diseases among hospital nurses.
Methods:
An electronic search was implemented using nine databases with June 2019 as the latest search date. English and Chinese studies were chosen, and data were independently and separately extracted by two investigators. Pooled odds ratio (OR) and its 95% confidence interval (CI) were estimated for each subset, using the fixed or random-effects model, following heterogeneity between studies for research synthesis. The source of heterogeneity was explored through subgroup, sensitivity, and meta-analyses.
Results:
Eighteen studies were included in the meta-analysis. Most participants were women (51.4%–100.0%), aged between 20 and 60. A correlation was found between high job demand and the prevalence of low back pain (OR = 1.41; 95% CI = 1.23-1.62). Total job strain was related to the risk of low back pain (OR = 1.71; 95% CI = 1.15-2.55), neck pain (OR = 1.67; 95% CI = 1.26-2.20), shoulder pain (OR = 1.62; 95% CI = 1.06-2.48) and back pain (OR = 1.45; 95% CI = 1.10-1.91). Furthermore, the physical workload was significantly associated with the prevalence of low back pain (OR = 1.76; 95% CI = 1.32-2.35), neck pain (OR = 1.17; 95% CI = 1.08-1.27), shoulder pain (OR = 1.59; 95% CI = 1.37-1.85) and back pain (OR = 1.66; 95% CI = 1.45-1.90).
Conclusion
There were significant associations between occupational strain, more physical workload and upper body MSDs, but the evidence advocating a growth risk in MSDs due to low levels of social support is quite weak.

The research team on the National Key Scientific Program of China: "Transcriptomic regulation and molecular mechanism research of polygenic tumor at different stages" has focused on the field of transcriptomics of 4 common polygenic tumors, including nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC), breast cancer, colorectal cancer, and glioma. Extensive laboratory work has been carried out on the expression and regulation of tumor transcriptomics; identification of tumor suppressor/susceptible genes; mechanism of tumor epigenetics including miRNAs, and comparative study of specific gene/protein cluster of tumor transcriptomics and proteomics. Genes including SPLUNC1, LTF, BRD7, NOR1, BRCA1/2, PALB2, AF1Q, SOX17, NGX6, SOX7, and LRRC4 have been identified as the key transcriptional regulation genes during the stage of tumor initiation and invasion. Accordingly, the NPC gene signal regulation network of "SPLUNC1-miR-141-target genes", the breast cancer interaction signal pathway of "miR-193b-uPA",the glioma signal network of "miR-381- LRRC4-MEK/ERK/AKT", and the miRNA-target gene network of colorectal cancer metastasis related gene NGX6 have been thoroughly elucidated. These fruitful Results imply that the changes of key molecules in crucial signal pathway will cause severe dysfunction in signal transduction and gene regulation network in polygenic tumors, indicating that in the category of pathogenesis, these tumors may further classify as the "Disease of gene signal transduction and gene regulation network disorder". The researches have laid solid foundation for revealing the molecular mechanism and transcriptomic regulation of polygenic tumors at different stages.

Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2020;39(3):249-254
The novel coronavirus 2019(2019-nCoV)was first detected from patients with pneumonia of an unknown cause in Wuhan in December 2019.It has since been confirmed as the pathogen for the new coronavirus pneumonia, recently named coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) by the WHO.Although the general population is commonly susceptible to the disease, infected elderly people show fast progression and severe manifestations with a high proportion in serious or critical condition as a result of compromised immunity and underlying diseases. In order to improve the quality of nursing management, reduce complications and decrease mortality for critically ill elderly patients, we assembled a national expert group with expertise in critical care nursing to write this consensus, based on a literature review and a subsequent panel discussion. The consensus covers the assessment, clinical nursing management, nursing care following hospital discharge and other aspects of care for critically ill elderly patients with COVID-19, aiming to share insights and provide guidance for clinical practice.
