In presnt experiment, animal models for hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism were made, and using radioimmunoassay, the immunoeactive leucine-enkephalin (Ir-LEK) levels of such discrete brain areas as hypothalamus, striatum, cerebral cortex(frontal lobe) and whole pituitary were determined in different groups. The efferent projections of the rostral ventrolateral medulla(RVL) to the hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus(Pa) and the thoracic cord were studied in the adult cat by using WGA-HRP or fluorescent retrograde tract-tracing method. After injection of WGA-HRP or fluorescent tracer Fast blue(FB) into one side of the Pa, retrogradely labelled cells were found in bilateral RVL, with an ipsilateral predominance. The labelled cells decreased in number from the caudal to the rostral level. After injection of FB into one side of the thoracic cord at T_2-T_3 segments, retrogradely labelled cells in the RVL were observed which increased in number from the caudal to the rostral level and reached the peak at 1.0-1.5mm caudal to the trapezoid body. Most of these cells were distributed in the ipsilateral RVL, and clustered in the region 0.0-1.0mm from the ventral surface of the medulla. After Diamino yellow 2HC1 and FB were injected into the Pa and the thoracic cord respectively, only single labelled cells were detected in the RVL, no double labelled cells were found. The above results suggest that the Pa and the thoracic cord receive separate fiber projections from different cells of the RVL.

Objective To investigate the characteristics of the pharmacodynamics of rocuronium bromide in patients with hepatobiliary disease. Methods Forty-eight patients undergoing abdominal surgery were divided into four groups, group A: patients with liver cirrhosis and portal hypertension (n = 12); group B1 : patients with cholelithiasis and obstructive jaundice (n = 12); group B2 : patients with cholelithiasis but no obstructive jaundice ( n=12);group C: patients without hepatobiliary disease ( n = 12) . Their renal function was normal. Patients with cardiovascular and neurological diseases were excluded. Premedication consisted of intramuscular phenobarbital 0.1 g and scopolamine 0.3 mg. Anesthesia was induced with midazolam 0.05 mg?kg-1 , fentanyl 2?g?kg-1 , propofol 2 mg?kg-1 and rocuronium 0.6 mg?kg-1 . The patients were intubated and mechanically ventilated. PETCO2 was maintained at 30-35 mm Hg. Anesthesia was maintained with iv infusion of propofol and fentanyl. Additional bolus dose of rocuronium 0.15 mg?kg-1 was given when T, recovered to 25% and each patient received six additional doses irrespective of duration of operation. Neuromuscular function was monitored using Datex-Ohmeda NMT mechanosensor. Onset time (from the end of injection to maximum depression of muscle twitch), clinical duration of intubating and additional dose (25 % recovery of T1 ) and recovery index (T1 from 25 % -75 %) were recorded. Objective: To establish the quality standard for Shentaipikang Granules (Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum, Herba Epimedii, Herba Cistanches, Cortex Phellodendri, etc). Methods: Counu Cervi Pantotrichum in this prescription was examined by microscopical identification. Cortex Phellodendri, Rhizoma Dioscoreae and Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae were identified by TLC. Radix Rehmanniae was identified by HPLC. Icariin was determined by HPLC. Results: Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum could be examined by microscopical identification, Cortex Phellodendri, Rhizoma Dioscoreae and Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae by TLC, and Radix Rehmanniae by HPLC. Icariin showed a good linear relationship at a range of 0.104 ～ 0.624 ?g , r = 0.9998 . The average recovery was 100.1% and RSD was 1.3% ( n =9) respectively. Conclusion: These methods are simple, accurate and specific and can be used for the quality control of Shentaipikang Granules.

Objective To evaluate the clinical effect and safety of the thrombus aspirated catheter (DIVER~(TM)) in primary PCI for acute myocardial infarction. Methods Seventy four AMI patients with total occluded infarct-related coronary artery(IRA)and intra-coronary thrombus from March 2005 to April 2006 were divided into two groups according to admission time and the treatment they received. After the 0.014 in BMW coronary wire crossed the lesion, the thrombus aspirated catheter (DIVERTM) was advanced over the wire to the lesion and continuously aspirated 2-3 times until the thrombus disappeared and stents were directly implanted in patients in group A (n=36) admitted from December 2005 to April 2006. Routine PCI applied in patients in group B (n=38) admitted from March 2005 to December 2005. Sirolimus eluting stents were implanted in both groups. The artery re-opened rate, no-reflow rate and the rate of major adverse cardiac events during hospitalization and 6 months after discharge were compared between two groups. Results Coronary arteriography showed the artery re-opened rate was 100% in both groups. The rates of no-reflow and major adverse cardiac events during hospital stay were significantly lower in group A than those in group B (2.78% vs 21.05% and 2.78% vs 10.53% respectively,P

Objective To observe the relationship between cerebral border zone infarction and cerebral artery stenosis or occlusion.Methods 45 patients admitted to our hospital in 2002 were studied retrospectively.They were diagnosied as acute cerebral border zone infarction and classified into anterior border infartion,posterior border infartion and internal border infartion by diffusion weighted MR imaging(DWI). The stenosis or occlusion of cerebral arteries was evaluated by magnetic resonance angiography(MRA) or transcranial doppler(TCD) examinations.Results Cerebral artery stenosis or occlusion was founded in 32 patients(71.1%).The lesions were most located in middle cerebral artery(47.6%),next in internal carotid artery(31%), relatively seldom in anterior cerebral artery and posterior cerebral artery(11.9%). No difference of artery abnormity was found between the patients with single border infarction and the patients with mutiple border infarction.But middle cerebral artery stenosis was more frequently seen in the patients with internal border infartion( P

Objective To determine platelet count (PLT),mean platelet volume (MPV),and hemodynamic changes in patients with cir-rhotic portal hypertension (CPH)post splenectomy plus pericardial devascularization (SPPD),and to assess the surgical effect on coagula-tion function.Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on 83 CPH patients undergoing SPPD in our hospital from January 2008 to December 2012.Results Compared with preoperative levels,postoperative portal venous pressure decreased,blood flow was reduced,and portal vein diameter was significantly reduced;additionally,postoperative hepatic artery diameter was increased,and hepatic artery blood flow increased.Blood alanine aminotransferase,albumin,total protein,and fibrinogen levels,thrombin time,and MPV did not significantly change 30 days postoperatively versus 7 days preoperatively(P>0.05 );the corresponding total bilirubin,activated partial thromboplastin time and prothrombin time relatively declined(P<0.05),whereas PLT and prothrombin time activity increased(P<0.05).There was a significant increase in PLT (P<0.05)but no significant change in MPV 30 days postoperatively versus 7 days preoperatively (P>0.05). Conclusion SPPD can significantly improve liver functional reserve and coagulation function in patients with CPH.

Objective To study the expression of RUNX3 mRNA in primary liver cancer (PHC) tissue and its surrounding normal tissue,and its clinical significance.MethodsReverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was performed to detect the expression of RUNX3 mRNA in tumor and peritumor tissues in 51 patients with PHC.The relationship between RUNX3 mRNA expression and some clinical pathological parameters was analyzed.ResultsThe relative expression values of RUNX3 mRNA in the tumor tissue and the surrounding normal tissue were 0.4509±0.0963 and 0.9147± 0.0222,respectively.The difference was significant (t=33.6087,P＜0.001).The RUNX3 mRNA expression in tumor tissue correlated with some clinical pathological parameters including low tumor differentiation,positive cancer embolus and intrahepatic invasion and metastasis.The RUNX3 mRNA expression was not correlated with other clinicopathological parameters including gender,cancer diameter,cancer location,hemorrhage and necrosis of cancer,and histotype.ConclusionRUNX3 may be a new tumor suppressor gene for PHC.

Objective:For further investigating the diagnostic value of the ECochG in Meniere's disease.Method:112 vertigo patients including Meniere's disease, sudden deafness, cervical vertigo and other vertigo dis-ease, had been done ECochG,glycerol test,audiometry and caloric test. The results were compared with those ofnormal group. Result:In Meniere's disease,the positive rate of abnormal－SP/AP in ECochG was 54.69% andthe positive rate of glycerol test was 53.12％. There are no statistics difference ( P ＞0.05) between this twotests with X analysis. Conclusion :We think that the glycerol test and other relative examination are necessary forthe diagnosis of Meniere's disease while the－SP/AP >0.4 ms in the examination of ECochG.

OBJECTIVE: To improve the quality standards of Yishen wufa oral solution. METHODS:Polygonum multiflorum, Psoraleae corylifolia and Lycium barbarum in the formulation were identified by TLC qualitatively. The content of stilbene glycoside was determined by HPLC. RESULTS: TLC identification was specific. The TLC spots were clear and well-separated. The linear range of stilbene glycoside was 0.03～0.60 ?g(r=0.999 9)with an average recovery of 102.4%(RSD=1.2%,n=6).CONCLUSION: Established method can be used for the quality control of Yishen wufa oral solution.
