Objective To study the method of the cultured human conjunctival epithelium combined with amniotic membrane transplantation for treatment of conjunctival defect. Methods 20 eyes of 10 rabbits were divided into study group (10 right eyes ) and contoal group (10 left eyes ). The conjunctival epithelium got from conjunctiva of fornix of study group about 1mm?1mm was explanted on human amniotic membrane and was cultured in vitro by tissue inoculation 2 weeks before operation. The bulbar conjunctivals of 20 eyes were excised. The conjunctival defect was covered by the graft in the study group and uncovered in the control group. The growth features of the grafts were observed. Results The conjunctival epithelium explanted on human amniotic membrane connected each other into membrane in 6 days, and multi-layer cells were observed. In the study group, all grafts were inosculated with and were similar to normal conjunctival in 2 weeks. There was not immune rejection occurred. In the control group, the conjunctival defect was recovered by scar. Conclusion It is effective of the cultured conjunctival epithelium combined with amniotic membrane transplantation for treatment of conjunctival defect.

Objective To study the culture method of conjunctival epithelium in vitro. Methods The rabbit conjunctival epithelium was cultured by tissue inoculation and was explanted in culture dish or on human amnionic membrane for fwo weeks. The cell morphology and growth features were observed. Results The rabbit conjunctival epithelium explanted in culture dish connected each other into membrane at eighth days around, which were monolayer cells was observed. The rabbit conjunctival epithelium explanted on human amnionic membrane connected each other into membrane at sixth day,and multi-layer cells were observed. All cultured cells showed positive in CK13 staining by indirect immunofluorescence staining. Conclusions Tissue inoculation is a good approach of conjunctival epithelium culture, and multi-layer cells can be gained if the tissue be exlpanted on human amnionic membrane.

Objective To study the changes of corneal sensitivity in diabetic and nondiabetic subjects after phacoemulsification. Methods This trial involved 42 diabetic subjects(42eyes)and 46 nondiabetic subjects(46 eyes)with cataract. All eyes were underwent phacoemulsification.Corneal sensitivities were tested before surgery and 1 day,1 week,1 month,3 month,6 month after surgery. Results The corneal sensitivity of diabetic subjects was greatly reduced at 1 day,1 week,1 month,3 month after surgery(P<0.05),and returned to the preoperative values at 6 month(P>0.05).The corneal sensitivity of nondiabetic subjects was reduced at 1 day,1 week,1 month af- ter surgery(P<0.05),and returned to the preoperative values at 3 month(P>0.05).The corneal sensitivity of diabetic subjects was lower than nondiabetic subjects before surgery(P<0.05).The reduced range of corneal sensitivity in diabetic subjects was greater than that of nondiabetic subjects(P<0.05).Conclusions The corneal sensitivity is decreased and the recovery is postponed after poacoemul- sification in diabetic subjects.

OBJECTIVE To observe the infection after ophthalmic operation in 276 patients with AIDS.METHODS This trial involved 276 patients(276 eyes) with AIDS.They were divided into 2 groups according to surgical sites:112 patients(112 eyes) were in the first group who were undergone eyelid or conjunctival operation and 164 patients(164 eyes) were in the second group who were undergone cataract or glaucoma operation. There were 325 patients(325 eyes) who did not suffered with AIDS in the control group: 130 patients(130 eyes) were in the third group who were undergone eyelid or conjunctival operation and 195 patients(195 eyes) were in the fourth group who were undergone cataract or glaucoma operation. The infections were observed after operation.RESULTS There were 30 cases(26.79%),8 cases(4.88%),12 cases(9.23%) and 8 cases(4.10%) suffered with infection after operation in four groups respectively. There were 38 infected cases(13.77%) in patients with AIDS and more than that in patients who did not suffered with AIDS(20 cases and 6.15% ?2=9.07,P

To survey the serum uric acid (SUA) levels and associated risk factors of hyperuricemia among youth and middle-aged residents in Guangzhou.A total of 1420 subjects, aged from 20 to 60 years, receiving health check-up at our hospital in 2010 were enrolled. The total prevalence of hyperuricemia was 22.04%,32.01% in males and 14.07% in females. The average SUA was (388 ±78) μmol/L in males and (288 ± 63) μ mol/L in females. The prevalence of hyperuricemia in males was 30.11% before 40 years of age and 33.81% between 40 and 60 years of age.The average level of SUA in males was significantly higher than that of females.logistic regression analysis showed that BUN,body mass index (BMI) and hypertriglyceridemia were the independent risk factors of disease while HDL-C and gender (females) the protective factors.

Objective:To summarize and analyze the clinical data of Chinese patients with colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF1R)-related leukoencephalopathy, and clarify the phenotypic and genetic characteristics of Chinese patients. Methods:Medical history of patients with CSF1R-related leukoencephalopathy diagnosed from April 1, 2018 to January 31, 2021 in the department of neurology of 22 hospitals in China was collected, and scores of Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE), Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale (MoCA), magnetic resonance severity scale were evaluated. Group comparison was performed between male and female patients. Results:A total of 62 patients were included, and the male-female ratio was 1∶1.95. The age of onset was (40.35±8.42) years. Cognitive impairment (82.3%, 51/62) and motor symptoms (77.4%,48/62) were the most common symptoms. The MMSE and MoCA scores were 18.79±7.16 and 13.96±7.23, respectively, and the scores of two scales in male patients (22.06±5.31 and 18.08±5.60) were significantly higher than those in females (15.53±7.41 , t=2.954, P=0.006; 10.15±6.26, t=3.328 , P=0.003). The most common radiographic feature was bilateral asymmetric white matter changes (100.0%), and the magnetic resonance imaging severity scale score was 27.42±11.40, while the white matter lesion score of females (22.94±8.39) was significantly higher than that of males (17.62±8.74 , t=-2.221, P<0.05). A total of 36 CSF1R gene mutations were found in this study, among which c.2381T>C/p.I794T was the hotspot mutation that carried by 17.9% (10/56) of the probands. Conclusions:The core phenotypic characteristics of CSF1R-related leukoencephalopathy in China are progressive motor and cognitive impairment, with bilateral asymmetrical white matter changes. In addition, there exist gender differences clinically, with severer cognitive impairment and imaging changes in female patients. Thirty-six CSF1R gene mutations were found in this study, and c.2381T>C/p. I794T was the hotspot mutation.

Copy number variations (CNVs), which can affect the role of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), are important genetic changes seen in some malignant tumors. We analyzed lncRNAs with CNV to explore the relationship between lncRNAs and prognosis in bladder cancer (BLCA). Messenger RNA (mRNA) expression levels, DNA methylation, and DNA copy number data of 408 BLCA patients were subjected to integrative bioinformatics analysis. Cluster analysis was performed to obtain different subtypes and differently expressed lncRNAs and coding genes. Weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) was performed to identify the co-expression gene and lncRNA modules. CNV-associated lncRNA data and their influence on cancer prognosis were assessed with Kaplan-Meier survival curve. Multi-omics integration analysis revealed five prognostic lncRNAs with CNV, namely
