Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2014;(44):7194-7198
BACKGROUND:After the initial hip replacement, aseptic or infective loosening and subsidence of the prosthesis, acetabular wear, pain, osteolysis and other factors may lead to the loss of prosthesis stability and loss of joint function, which are the common cause of hip arthroplasty. Among the hip arthroplasty, acetabular lateral reconstruction is essential and largely determines the success or failure of revision surgery.
OBJECTIVE:To explore the present situation of reconstructing acetabulum after total hip arthroplasty.
METHODS:A computer-based online search of PubMed database (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PubMed) between January 1998 and March 2014, and CNKI database (http://www.cnki.net/) from January 2003 to March 2014 was undertaken for the articles about reconstructing acetabulum after total hip arthroplasty. The key words were“artificial joint, reconstruction, acetabular lateral reconstruction, current situation”in Chinese and“reconstructed acetabulum, total hip arthroplasty”in English. Article about hip reconstruction, acetabyular reconstruction, bone defect reconstruction, prosthesis choice and reconstruction, and soft tissue balance were also selected. Repetitive researches were excluded.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:According to inclusion criteria, 26 articles were involved in this study. A perfect acetabular revision should achieve the fol owing goals:stabilize acetabular prosthesis after acetabular revision;recover hip rotation center and biomechanical properties;repair acetabular bone defects and increase hip bone. Adequate preparation before surgery is an important prerequisite for the success of surgery and good results, aseptic and septic loosening or subsidence of the prosthesis, as wel as acetabular wear and tear are common causes of hip revision. Intraoperative reconstruction of acetabular anteversion and camber angles, acetabular rotation center reconstruction, reconstruction of acetabular bone defects, selection of reconstruction of acetabular prosthesis, and reconstruction of soft tissue balance are the core technologies of reconstructing acetabulum after total hip arthroplasty.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2014;(12):1824-1830
BACKGROUND:Low-temperature rapid prototyping technology is a new kind of rapid prototyping technology, and it is rapidly used in the preparation of bone tissue engineering scaffolds because it can make scaffold forming control able and can keep the biological activity of the materials, also can easily realize the scaffold with porous of three-dimensional structure and other advantages.
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the preparation process of polyethylene glycol-modified polylactic acid-glycolic acid/nano-hydroxyapatite (PLGA-PEG/n-HA) using the low-temperature rapid prototyping, and to test its performance.
METHODS:PLGA-PEG/n-HA and PLGA/n-HA were prepared by low-temperature rapid prototyping equipment. Under an electron microscopy, we observed ultra-structure of the scaffolds. Immersion (ethanol) method was used to test the porosity, and electronic testing machine was used to determine the material mechanical properties. Then these two kinds of scaffolds with rat osteoblasts were cultured in vitro, the cel adhesion rate was detected by precipitation method after 12 hours, and cel counting kit-8 method was used to determine the cel proliferation at culture days 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 12.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Both of the two scaffolds had ideal aperture range and high porosity. But the aperture range of PLGA-PEG/n-HA scaffolds had large fluctuations, and the average aperture was smal er than that of PLGA/n-HA. Some pores were closed up. The cel adhesion rate and the cel growth curve of PLGA-PEG/n-HA was better than that of PLGA/n-HA (P<0.05), but the mechanical properties were less than PLGA/n-HA (P<0.05). The results showed the PLGA-PEG/n-HA scaffolds had good cel compatibility.

Objective: To investigate the association between nephrin, podocin and ? actinin of the glomerular podocyte molecules, the morphometric change of podocyte foot process and the development of proteinuria. Methods: Puromycin aminonucleoside (PAN) nephrosis was established. Immunofluorescence staining, image analysis and real time quantitative PCR were employed to study the distribution and quantitation of glomerular expression of nephrin, podocin and ? actinin. Morphometric methods were applied to evaluate the morphology change of podocyte foot processes under electron microscopy. Results: (1) Before the onset of proteinuria, 2 days after PAN injection, the podocyte foot process became swollen;nephrin and podocin staining were changed into discontinuous pattern accompanied by the decrease of podocin staining intensity. The foot process became more swollen on day 5,and podocin intensity continued to decrease. Meanwhile, nephrin decreased significantly both in protein intensity and at mRNA level. (2) When heavy proteinuria [(130.8?30.7) mg/d, P =0.02]occurred, complete effacement of podocyte foot processes was revealed; both podocin and nephrin staining intensity decreased dramatically( P

Chinese Journal of Comparative Medicine 2016;26(4):79-82
Multiple sclerosis ( MS) is an autoimmune disease of the central nervous system ( CNS) characterized by demyelination and inflammation lesions.MS predominantly affects young adults with a high incidence of disability. However, the exact pathogenesis of MS is still not clear.Studies found that microglia polarization tending to pro-inflammatory M1-like state during the onset of MS, causing the M1/M2 ratio imbalance, forming pro-inflammatory microenvironment state, and which further leading to nervous tissue damage ultimately.Microglia polarization may be considered as the initiator of pathologic alterations by releasing pro-inflammatory cytokines and secondarily trigger the initial microglia response.Given the pivotal role of imbalanced microglia polarization in MS initiation, a critical review of microglia polarization is presented here, in order to elucidate the pathogenesis of MS and highlight the noteworthy candidate therapeutic targets for clinic treatment.

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2003;0(12):-
This paper develops an intelligent NO delivery system cooperating with the ventilator to make NO inhaled safely, reliably, conveniently and economically, which is based on correlation between the parameter setup of the ventilator and the concentration of NO. The circuit control system consists of a mass flow controller and a CPU mainly. A mixing unit is designed to mix NO with the gas from the ventilator uniformly. Clinical experiments show that the NO from the intelligent delivery system can decrease PH and increase SaO2 with the concentration of generated NO2 less than 5ppm.
