Objective To introduce a new method of septal cartilage augmentation for hump nose plasty. Methods The section of septal cartilage was collected and divided into two or three parts. The grafts were sutured by means of a mattress suture, and placed over the dorsum of superior and inferior hump. The dorsum became flat and straight immediately afterward. Results After a short term and long term follow up, 30 patients who underwent this operation were satisfied the operative results. Conclusion Septal cartilage augmentation for hump nose plasty is an efficient new method.

Objective To investigate the effects of Modified Siwutang aqueous extract (mSWT) on bone marrow cell mobilization and plantation in mice after acute myocardial infarction (AMI).Methods The AMI model was established by ligating the left anterior descending artery in Kunming mice.Bone marrow cells were marked by injection of DAPI into the cavitas medullaris of shin bones.Mice were administered with mSWT 60 mg/kg by intragastric administration once a day after surgery. After haematoxylin-eosin and immunofluorescent staining, the plantation of bone marrow cells in AMI area and microvessel density were detected by histopathological assay. The EPCs proportion of peripheral blood was measured by flow cytometry. Results Compared with model mice, infarct size obviously was decreased after mSWT 60 mg/kg treatment, with EPCs ratio increased significantly.Inflammatory cell infiltration of myocardium was much less.Myocardium cellular degeneration and necrosis, fibrosis were reduced, which survival cardiac muscle tissue was increased.DAPI positive cells of plantation and survive were found in AMI region of mSWT group. The number of positive cells were increased in mSWT group than that of model group. There were lot of microvessels of vWF positive expresseion in mSWT than model group. Conclusion:mSWT significantly improved histopathology of AMI mice. The mechanism may be involved in moved bone marrow cells, homed to AMI area and promote angiogenesis.

China Pharmacy 2007;0(31):-
OBJECTIVE: To improve the checking management of outpatient pharmacy and to reduce the error rates of checking process. METHODS: With the data from "Army No 1" hospital information system, to designe dynamic checking table ordered by fixed location of each drugs in containers, and pending prescription transfer database is established to manage unconfirmed expired prescriptions. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS: The order of name in the stock table of drugs is identified to the position of each drug in containers. There is no requirement for incorporate check-in operation of the same kind of drugs from various manufactories and identification of their locations. Taken advantage of computer technology, this checking program is more time-saving, simple and easy, and significantly increases the accuracy of results.

Objective To analyze the causes of misdiagnosis and mistreatment of Dravet syndrome. Methods Patients with Dravet syndrome diagnosed according to clinical features and SCN1A gene mutation detection were recruited within recent 3 years. The patients were grouped into correct diagnosis-treatment group and misdiagnosis-mistreatment group according to whether the patients had ever been misdiagnosed and mistreated by sodium channel blockers. The clinical features were compared between two groups. Results Thirty-five cases with Dravet syndrome were collected and the rate of misdiagnosis reached 40%, Nine cases were misdiagnosed as symptomatic focal epilepsy, 4 as Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and 1 as Doose syndrome. The average age of onset in misdiagnosis-mistreatment group was (5.50 ± 3.56) months, and the age of confirmed diagnosis was (83.57 ± 105.62) months. The percentage of abnormal EEG, onset seizure with partial seizure, the seizure frequency within the first year from onset, onset with afebrile seizure, patients with status epilepticus or cluster seizures was higher in misdiagnosis-mistreatment group but it showed no significant statistical significance when compared with that of correct diagnosis-treatment group. The percentage of patients with mental retardation and focal neurological signs was significantly higher in misdiagnosis-mistreatment group (P=0.005 and 0.002, respectively). Conclusions Dravet syndrome is frequently misdiagnosed as symptomatic focal epilepsy. The appearance of focal neurological signs and mental retardation before confirmed diagnosis are important factors for misdiagnosis. Gene mutation screening will be helpful for differential diagnosis of Dravet syndrome.

Objective To detect the expressions and clinical significance of Nanog and CD44 protein in lung cancer. Methods The expressions of Nanog and CD44 were detected by immunohistochemistry in 50 cases of lung cancer, 32 cases of benign lesion lung tissue and 18 cases of paraneoplastic normal lung tissue. Then their relationships with clinicopathological factors were analyzed. Results The expression of Nanog in lung cancer was significantly higher than those in benign lesion lung tissue and paraneoplastic normal lung tissue (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference of the expression of CD44 among the three groups (P > 0.05). The expressions of Nanog and CD44 in squamous cell carcinomas were higher than those in adenocarcinomas and small cell lung carcinomas (P < 0.05). The expressions of Nanog and CD44 were significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis (P < 0.05), but were not correlated with age, gender, tumour size, TNM stage and differentiation of lung cancer (P>0.05). The positive correlation was also noted between the expressions of Nanog and CD44 in lung cancer (r = 0.564, P < 0.05). Conclusion Nanog and CD44 proteins may participate in the genesis and progression of lung cancer. Nanog protein is a potential diagnostic marker and therapeutic target for lung cancer.

Chinese Journal of Diabetes 2018;26(5):380-384
Objective To observe the influence of glucose fluctuation on paraoxonase-3(PON3) and apoprotein A1(ApoA1) in T2DM patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) . Methods A total of 260 subjects were enrolled in this study and dividied into three groups :T2DM patients with CHD (T2DM +CHD group ,n=100) ,T2DM without CHD (T2DM group ,n=80) and healthy subjects(NC group ,n=80) .The serum PON3 and ApoA1 levels were measured and compared in all the three groups .The 72 h dynamic glucose monitoring (CGMS ) was adopted in T2DM + CHD group ,then according to the MAGE levels ,T2DM+ CHD group was subdivided intotertiles :the lowest tertile subgroup (2.43~3.44 mmol/L ,n=31) ,the middle tertile subgroup (3.45~4.46 mmol/L ,n=39) and the highest tertile subgroup (4.47~5.45 mmol/L ,n= 30) .Influencing factors for PON3 and ApoA1 were analyzed by multivariate linear regression analysis . Results (1)The SBP ,DBP ,FPG ,2 hPG ,HbA1c ,FIns ,ApoB ,BUN ,HOMA-IR , ApoA1 and number of smokers were higher in T2DM + CHD group than in NC group .FPG ,2 hPG ,HbA1c ,FIns and HOMA-IR were higher in T2DM+ CHD group than in T2DM group(P<0.05 or P<0.01) .LDL-C ,Lp-a and hsC-RP were higher ,and the PON3 were lower in T2DM +CHD group than in T2DM group and NC group (P< 0.05 or P< 0.01);(2)With the increase of blood glucose fluctuation range ,the levels of PON3[(0.58 ± 0.10) vs (0.44 ± 0.07) vs (0.25 ± 0.01) ng/ml]and ApoA1 [(2.33 ± 1.04) vs (2.31 ± 0.71) vs(1.05 ± 0.48)g/L]were reduced(all P=0.000);(3)Multiple linear regression analysis showed that BMI ,hsC-RP ,HOMA-IR and MAGE were influencing factors for PON3. And HbA1c ,hsC-RP and MAGE were influencing factors for ApoA1 (P<0.05 or P<0.01) . Conclusion Serum PON3 level is lower and ApoA1 level is higher in T2DM patients with CHD .Glucose fluctuation may be only an influencing factor for ApoA1 level .
