Objective To investigate the expression and significance of p53 and CDK4 proteins in human endometrial adenocarcinoma. Methods Expressions of p53 and CDK4 proteins were detected by immunohistochemical technique in 32 cases of endometrial adenocarcinoma. Results The positive expression rate of p53 protein in the 32 cases of endometrial adenocarcinoma was 43.8% (14/32), and the positive rate of p53 in endometrial adenocarcinoma was negatively related to pathological grade, myometrial invasion and lymph node metastasis (P 0.05). The positive expression rate of CDK4 was 68.8% (22/32), and CDK4 expression was significantly associated with myometrial invasion and lymph node metastasis (P 0.05) . Objective To investigate the value of MR intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM)imaging and dynamic susceptibility contrast-enhanced(DSC)perfusion imaging in astrocytoma grading.Methods 22 patients with high grade astrocytoma and 28 patients with low grade astrocytoma underwent conventional MRI and IVIM,DSC scanning before operation.Parameters of IVIM included standard diffusion coefficient(ADCstandard ),slow diffusion coefficient(D),fast diffusion coefficient(D? ),fractional perfusion-related volume (f)values,and parameters of DSC included relative blood volume(rCBV),relative blood flow(rCBF)values of tumor solid part were measured quantitatively.The values between the two groups were compared by two samples t-test.By using ROC curve to evaluate the diagnostic efficacy of using IVIM and DSC alone or jointly.Results The ADCstandard ,D,rCBV,rCBF values of tumor solid part had significant differences between the groups(P<0.01).The D? and f values were no significant differences (P=0.130,P=0.379).The area under the ROC curve of the values showed that ADCstandard (0.823),D(0.854),rCBV(0.858),rCBF(0.871),D+rCBV(0.952),D+rCBF(0.953).Conclusion The D,rCBV,rCBF values are helpful to determine the grade of astrocytomas.The use of IVIM in combination with DSC may improve the diagnostic accuracy of astrocytoma grading.

Objective:To investigate the prognostic significance of preoperative neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio(NLR)combined with tu-mor-associated neutrophils(TANs)in the stroma of gastric cancer tissues of patients.Methods:One hundred and twenty-six gastric cancer tissue samples from patients enrolled in Changhai hospital from June 2006 to May 2011 were divided into four groups accord-ing to NLRs in preoperative peripheral blood combined with high or low infiltration of neutrophils in gastric cancer tissues.The 5-year survival of the four groups was then compared,and their correlations with clinicopathologic features and prognosis were analyzed.Re-sults:High NLRs in peripheral blood combined with low infiltrating TANs in gastric tissues was associated with lower differential grade (P<0.001)and larger tumor size(P=0.026).Of the four groups,patients with high NLR in peripheral blood combined with low infiltrat-ing TANs in gastric cancer tissues demonstrated the lowest survival rates,whereas those with low NLR and high infiltrating TANs had highest survival rates, and this difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses showed that high NLR in peripheral blood combined with low infiltrating TANs in gastric cancer tissues(P<0.05)was an independent factor indicating poor prognosis.Conclusions:NLR in preoperative peripheral blood combined with infiltrating TANs in gastric cancer tissues can be used as a prognostic indicator for patients with gastric cancer,especially high NLR in preoperative peripheral blood com-bined with low infiltrating TANs in gastric cancer tissue indicates poor prognosis.

Objective To study the acute toxicity of tetrodotoxin to zebra fish. Methods The maximum non-lethal concentration (MNLC) and 10% lethal concentration (LC₁₀) determinations were used to assess the acute toxicity of tetrodotoxin. Results According to the simulation calculation of Origin 8.0 software, the MNLC was 8.62 µmol/L and 15.2 µmol/L for LC₁₀. Under the experimental conditions, tetrodotoxin at a concentration of 16.0 µmol/L and above induced pericardial edema and arrhythmia, leading to the death of zebra fish. The target organs for acute toxicity of tetrodotoxin were the heart and liver. The main manifestations were pericardial edema, arrhythmia, and delayed yolk sac absorption. The toxicity appeared at a concentration of 0.958 µmol/L. Conclusion Tetrodotoxin has heart and liver toxicity to zebra fish, and its toxicity is dose-dependent.
