Chinese Journal of Neonatology 2017;32(3):201-204
Objective To study the clinical characteristics of neonatal pertussis.Method From January 2011 to December 2015,clinical data of newborns with pertussis treated in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed, including the general information, clinical manifestations, laboratory examinations, treatment and prognosis.Result A total of 68 newborns with pertussis were found during the study period, including 1 case in 2011,5 cases in 2012,1 case in 2013,18 cases in 2014 and 43 cases in 2015.The time needed for diagnosis was 7 to 35 days after onset of symptoms, and 80.9% (55/68) in 14 days. The predominant manifestation was paroxysmal cough (68 cases,100%).Other common symptoms included flushing in 45 cases (66.2%) and cyanosis with coughing in 40 cases (58.8%).The uncommon symptoms included whooping cough (20 cases,29.4%),wheezing (10 cases,14.7%),fever (3 cases,4.4%) and apnea with decreased heart rate during cough (2 cases,2.9%).12 patients (17.6%) had elevated peripheral white blood cells or lymphocytes. The clinical manifestations didn't disappear despite erythromycin therapy, and the whooping cough continued for 12 to 42 days during the course of disease.22 cases (32.4%) had complications, including pneumonia in 12 cases, myocardial damage in 10 cases, heart failure in 2 cases, respiratory failure in 1 case, atrial tachycardia in 1 case and lung consolidation in 1 case. Conclusion Neonatal pertussis is not uncommon and has a tendency to increase year by year, and it's challenging for early diagnosis. The patients who have a whooping cough without fever should be considered of pertussis until otherwise ruled out.Leukocyte and lymphocyte count are of little value in the diagnosis of this disease.

Dominant intercropping combination between biennial Ophiopogon joponicvs and different crops was tried with reference to agricultural condition specific to Cixi county, zhejiang Province. The quantity and quality of the product and its economical effect resulted in biennal cultivation with different crop: were assessed. Results showed that the optimurm combination in the first year of undersowing was cotton in the summer and broadbean(vicia faba L. ) in the winter, while in the second year watctmelon (Citrullus lanatus) was the ideal combination in he summer.

To explore the therapeutic efficacy of extracorporeal shock wave (ESW) for persistent heel pain.A total of 98 patients of persistent heel pain were randomly divided into ESW treatment and control groups (n =49 each).Treatment group had ESW while control group received infrared physical therapy. And their visual analogue scale (VAS) scores were assessed. After one course of treatment, VAS heel pain and function scores were (39.6 ± 6.2) and (25.1 ± 4.6) in ESW group versus (32.3 ± 6.5) and (17.4 ±7.2) in control group. And before treatment, (16.5 ±4.6) and (14.4 ±8.6), (16.1 ±4.7) and (14.6 ± 8.4) respectively.Heel pain significantly decreased with functional improvement (all P < 0.05).After one course, the effective rate was 65% (32/49) in treatment group. And the improvement rate of 31% (15/49) was better than control group [27% (13/49) and 63% (31/49)] (all P < 0.05).ESW treatment of persistent heel pain was more efficacious than physical therapy and it could be applied clinically.

Sarcomas collectively represent over 100 different subtypes of bone and soft tissue tumors. They are not sensitive to chemotherapy, which requires the development of tissue-specific or pathway-specific therapies. As our understanding of the molecular mechanisms driving sarcomas is rapidly advancing, the number of targeted therapies is also increasing.Recently identified novel druggable targets including the MDM2 amplifications in welldifferentiated and dedifferentiated liposarcomas, the fusion NAB2:STAT6 of solitary fibrous tumor, the SDH mutations in gastrointestinal stro mal tumors, the suppression of Mcl1 in synovial sarcomas,CDK4 in alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. They will play an important role in the treatment of sarcoma. Here, the author do an overview of these factors.

Versican comes from fibroblasts and belongs to chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan. It distributes in various tissues. The versican have functions including regulate cell growth and differentiation, promote cell proliferation, invasion and metastasis, and stimulate angiogenesis.Experiments have confirmed that the expression of versican is involved in various cancers. Here, the author do an overview of versican in the occurrence and development of breast cancer, liver cancer and chondrosarcoma aimed to further explore the pathogenesis of tumors.

Retrospective analysis was performed for 68 sacroiliac joint pain patients treated at our hospital from June 2007 to March 2012.And 27 patients received sacroiliac joint ozone injection, and others anti-inflammatory and analgesic solution. Both methods can significantly relieve sacroiliac joint pain (P < 0.05).However there was no inter-group difference (P > 0.05).No difference existed in efficacy [(0.51 ±0.03) vs.(0.34 ±0.06) cm],treatment frequency (1.98 ±0.94) vs.(1.82 ±0.88) or hospitalization duration [(14.6 ± 7.0) vs.(14.9 ± 6.4) days] between two groups (P > 0.05).Thus sacroiliac joint ozone injection can significantly relieve sacroiliac joint pain and its effect is similar to anti-inflammatory analgesic injection.

Vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) proliferation is the critical pathological process of in-stent restenosis (ISR). Recent researches indicate that the traditional Chinese medicine curcuma zedoary (E’zhu) can inhibit VSMCs proliferation, with a potential value in preventing and treating ISR. The major ac-tive components of curcuma zedoary are curcuma and β-elemene. The underlying mechanisms involve the inhibition of hemeoxygen-ase-1 expression, blockade of extracellular signal-regulated ki-nase – MAPK and Akt pathways, and subsequent cell cycle ar-rest. This article reviews the recent progress on curcuma zedoary extracts regulating VSMCs proliferation in ISR.

Chinese Medical Ethics 1994;0(06):-
Extraction of teeth is the most basic and widely used operation of oral and maxillofacial surgery. According to characteristics of extraction of teeth, the author views medical ethics principles which in the diagnoses and treatments process from the aspect of medical ethics, they are,①Doctors must intensify their own quality and self - cultivations and establish the idea of " People First ". ②Doctors must carry on the overall and systematic inspection, make the plan of diagnoses and treatments synthetically toimplement the idea of " People First ". ③Doctors should pay attention to interact with patient, meet different patients' demands and create the harmonious medical environment.

Objective To investigate the changes of uveoscleral pathway by an I1 receptor agonist, moxonidine, and with pretreatment of antagonists topical administration, and to study the mechanism that moxonidine improves uveoscleral outflow. Methods Moxonidine was administered unilaterally and topically to rabbits and with pretreatment of the antagonists, namely, prazosin, yohimbine and efaroxan.FITC-BSA,a tracer agent, was injected into the anterior chamber after moxonidine treatment or with pretreatment of the antagonists.Frozen sections were undertaken at different time points between 2 to 10 h.Fluorescence intensity was observed in the sites of uveoscleral pathway in the sections by fluorescence microscopy. Results Bilateral fluorescence intensity treated with moxonidine was more intense than that with placebo, and the most intense regions of fluorescence were ciliary body and superchoroidal space.Fluorescence intensity by prazosin pretreatment was not significantly different compared to that by moxonidine, while yohimbine and efaroxan pretreatment decreased the intensity compared with moxonidine(P
