Chinese Journal of Diabetes 2015;(4):370-371
[Summary] Fulminant type 1 diabetes (F1D) which is characterized by the abrupt onset of disease , severediabetic ketoacidosis ,high serum pancreatic enzyme concentrations ,and absence of diabetes‐related antibodies is classified astype 1B diabetes. T1DM that developed during pregnancy were mostly F1D. Once occurred ,it would lead to severe outcomes such as stillbirth and death of gravida. One case of pregnancy combined with F1D is reported in this article. We discussed the incidence ,pathogenesis and diagnosis of the disease ,aiming at strengthening the awareness of the disease and also improving the prognosis.

Chinese Journal of Trauma 2011;27(9):793-796
ObjectiveTo investigate the curative effect of structural bone graft in treatment of high energy injury-induced complicated distal radius fractures combined with articular surface collapse and comminuted epiphyseal bone defect.MethodsThe study involved 38 patients with distal radius fractures (AO classification, type C3) treated from January 2007 to October 2010.The patients were treated with temporary Kirschner wire fixation to recover the wrist articular surface, distal radius length and palmar tilt angle at the greatest possibility.According to the form of the bone defects, the iliac bone taken from three layers of the cortical bone was embedded in the subchondral bone to support the bone graft, and a small amount of cancellous bone graft was collected to fill the articular surface collapse as much as possible for anatomical reduction of the articular surface, and anatomical form of the distal radius was reconstructed.Modified Sarmiento Gartland and Werley evaluation systems were used to evaluate the articular function recovery.ResultsThe follow-up lasted for 1-3.2 years, which showed no complications such as plate rupture or iatrogenic nerve blood vessels injuries. The fracture healing time was 15-22 weeks (mean 18.3 weeks). The wrist articular function in some patients obtained obvious improvement through functional rehabilitation training.According to the modified Gartland and Werley function evaluation systems, the curative effects reached excellence rate of 87%.During follow-up, there were two patients with high progressive loss in the height of the distal radius and two with articular surface collapse and severe carpal joint flexion and extension dysfunction.ConclusionsThe high energy injury-induced distal radius fractures with articular surface collapse and epiphyseal bone defect need recovery of the wrist articular surface, distal radius length and palmar tilt angle.Structural bone graft can effectively support the grafted bone and maintain the flatness of the radiocarpal articular surface, restore the anatomy of the distal radius and facilitate the functional recovery of the wrist.

0.05). Ac-cording to the classification criteria of ARIA in 2001, 26 children suffered from intermittent A(R22 mild cases,4 moderate-severe cases),while 22 suf-fered from persistent AR(10 mild cases,12 mod-erate-severe cases). Forty percent patients with AR also had bronchial asthma. Domestic decora-tion was an important factor in the induction of AR and 27.1% of the children with AR had inher-ent predisposition. CONCLUSION The prevalence rate of AR in children aged from 9 to 10 in Nanjing is 5.1 %. Strategy of prevention and treatment of AR should beworked out according to the epidemic feature of AR.

Journal of China Medical University 2016;45(4):305-308
Objective To study the abnormal alteration of regions in bipolar depression patients,so as to investigate its pathophysiologic mecha?nism. Methods Regional homogeneity(ReHo)technology of resting?state functional magnetic resonance imaging were used to compare 24 bipolar depression patients and 28 healthy controls. Results Compared to the healthy controls, the bipolar depression patients exhibited significantly higher ReHo value in the bilateral superior frontal gyrus, the bilateral middle frontal gyrus, the bilateral medial frontal cortex, the bilateral supplementary motor area, the left paracentral lobule and the left precentral gyrus(all P<0.001). Conclusion The abnormal function in the bilateral superior frontal gyrus, the bilateral middle frontal gyrus, the bilateral medial frontal cortex, the bilateral supplementary motor area, the left paracentral lobule and the left precentral gyrus may associate with the mechanism of pathophysiology in bipolar depression.

Chinese Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery 2016;32(8):506-508
Septic arthritis of the sternoclavicular joint(SCJ) is a rare condition and accounts for 0.5%-1.0% of septic arthritis.SCJ infections often require surgical intervention.Diabetes mellitus, rheumatoid arthritis, intravenous drug use, intraarticular injection and immunosuppressive disorders are predisposing factors.Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa are the most common bacteriologies.Early diagnosis of SCJ infection requires a high index of suspicion and a confirmatory CT or MRI scan. The characteristic imaging features include intramedullary and soft tissue gas, sequestra, soft tissue swelling and destruction or widening of joint space.Management strategies have ranged from conservative antibiotic therapy to en-bloc resection of the sternoclavicular joint with or without ipsilateral pectoralis major muscle transposition. The shoulder function in most patients were well preserved.

BACKGROUND:Percutaneous vertebroplasty for vertebral fractures can effectively relieve acute pain and has the advantages of smal trauma, good curative effect and less complications, but for patients with osteoporotic compression fractures, there were varying degrees of osteoporosis after surgery, which have a longer course of disease and cannot be easy to cure. So the effectiveness of percutaneous vertebroplasty cannot be ful y evaluated based on the pain relief. OBJECTIVE:To study the curative effect of percutaneous vertebroplasty for patients with fresh osteoporotic thoracolumbar vertebral compression fractures. METHODS:We selected 24 patients undergoing percutaneous vertebroplasty and 24 patients receiving conservative treatment at the same time who had fresh osteoporotic compression fractures as research objects;and compared pain degree, vertebral body height and the kyphosis Cobb angle, function activity of the lower lumbar before and after treatment, the quality of life and clinical incidence of complications within 6 months after treatment in the two groups. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The degree of pain, the vertebral body height, kyphosis Cobb angle, function activity of the lower lumbar were al improved in the two groups after treatment (P<0.05), and these indexes in the percutaneous vertebroplasty group were better than those in the conservative treatment group (P<0.05). The quality of life and incidence of complications within 6 months after treatment were improved better in the percutaneous vertebroplasty group than the conservative treatment group (both P<0.05). These results suggest that the percutaneous vertebroplasty for fresh osteoporotic thoracolumbar vertebral compression fractures can effectively reduce the pain of patients, improve vertebral deformity and activities of the lower lumbar, and has obvious role in promoting the postoperative quality of life of patients.
