Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2001;0(02):-
Objective To study the best combination of respiratory parameters that can maintain good ventilation with a low airway pressure under general anesthesia and CO2 pneumoperitoneum (12 mm Hg) during laparoscopy, which is important for lung protections. Methods Basic respiratory parameters of anesthesia machine, respiratory frequency (f), tidal volume (VT), and respiration ratio (I∶E), were used as three factors A, B, and C. The there levels were set as f=15, 12, and 9 bpm; VT =8, 10, and 12 ml/kg body weight; and I∶E =1∶2.5, 1∶2.0, and 1∶1.5. L9(34) K=3 was adopted for repeated orthogonal experimental design. The effect of different combinations of respiratory parameters on peak inspiratory pressure (PIP), mean airway pressure (Pmean),and end-tidal carbon dioxide partial pressure (PETCO2), were analyzed statistically. Results During the laparoscopy, the vital signs of 27 patients were stable under general anesthesia with 9 combinations of the respiratory parameters, the SpO2 was maintained at 100%, and the PEEP was kept at 1 hPa. The effect of the three levels of VT (factor B) on PIP was not significant (P=0.074). While the effects of f (factor A) on PETCO2 and I∶E on Pmean were significantly different among the three levels (P=0.002 and P=0.017, respectively). Conclusion The best combination of three factors-levels respiratory parameters is not small tidal volume with fast frequency or large tidal volume with slow frequency, but is A2B2C2 (f=12 bpm, VT=10 ml/kg body weight, and I∶E=1∶2.0).

Chinese Journal of Radiation Oncology 2010;19(3):268-272
Objective To evaluate the dose distributions with different dose rates, and approach a reference to the dose rate for radiation. Methods Three classic static intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) plans of prostate cancer, lymphoma and nasopharyngeal carcinoma were chosen for the study. For each plan, the dose verification of three different dose rates (100, 300 and 600 MU/min) was performed with the Varian 600CD linear accelarator by using the 2-DICA of I'mRT Matrixx. With the Pinncale planning system, each segment was used as a beam to form another IMRT plan. The OmniPro-I'mRT V1.6 was applied to compare the segments in the two IMRT plans, and then the actual weights were obtained. The simulated plans at different dose rate were designed when setting the weights back into the planning system. Results With the increase of dose rate, the passing ratio of the verification decreased and the D_(max), D_(min), D_(mean) and D_(95) of the planning tumor volume increased. The high dose area expanded significantly in target regions, and the 95% isodose line extended. At the dose rate of 600 MU/min, The D_(95) of GTV_(nd) in nasopharyngeal carcinoma increased by 5.33% than the original plan with the V_(110) up to 19. 38%. The irradiation dose of the organs at risk (OARs) increased. For the case of lymphoma, the V_(20) of the lungs in the original plan and the three simulated plans were 31.77%, 32. 11%, 32.60% and 33.26%, respectively. For the case of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, the V_(30) of the right parotid were 48.75%, 49. 56%, 51.65% and 53.91%, respectively. Conclusions With the increase of dose rate in static IMRT , the actual dose distribution deviates the original plan , and the high dose area and the OARs dose increases. The higher dose rate is suboptimal when the dose of the OARs is proximate to the tolerance limit.

Objective To investigate the feasibility of genetically modified X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis protein (XIAP) of rat adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADSCs) by isolating and cultivating rat ADSCs in vitro. Methods ADSCs were isolated from rat groin fat pads by collagenaseⅠdigestion under sterile condition. ADSCs were passaged and amplified with 10%FBS DMEM. The multi-differentiation potential of ADSCs was verified by cultivated with differentiation medium. XIAP expression plasmid was transfected into ADSCs. The anti-apoptotic ability of XIAP transduction was detect-ed by Western blotting assay. Results ADSCs were mainly spindle-shaped and whirlpool-shaped arranged. Results of flow cytometry showed that there were higher expressions of CD29, CD44, CD90 and CD105 in ADSCs, which differentiated into lipocytes, chondrocytes and osteoblasts under specific conditions. There is XIAP gene modified adipose-derived mesenchy-mal stem cells Band in the corresponding molecular mass of PVDF membrane area. Conclusion ADSCs were isolated from rat subcutaneous fat pads and were easily cultivated, passaged and amplified. ADSCs can differentiate into osteoblasts, chon-drocytes and adipocytes under specific conditions, which are better resource for being used in cell therapy and tissue engi-neering.
