Objective To compare the patency rate of percutaneous balloon angioplasty or stenting for restenosis of femoral-popliteal artery artificial vascular grafting.Method 78 cases of femoral-popliteal artery artificial vascular graft postoperative occlusion patients were divided into 2 groups:anastomotic balloon angioplasty group (36 cases) and stent angioplasty group (42 cases) after double-lumen catheter embolectomy.Patients in anastomotic balloon dilatation group were given balloon angioplasty only becaus fine narrow flow signals were seen in angiography.Patients in stenting group received balloon angioplasty followed by suitable caliber self-expanding stent placement.Patency rates were compared between the two groups after 12,36 months of interventional treatment.Results The patency rate in stenting group was higher than that of percutaneous balloon angioplasty group (x2 =7.422,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions Balloon stenting angioplasty had advantages of high patency rate over balloon dilatation for the treatment of postoperative occlusion of femoral-popliteal artery grafting.

Objective To study the correlation between blood uric acid level and blood pressure among general population.Methods 1 694 healthy cases exclusion of hypertension,hyperuricemia and related diseases were enrolled in the study.The levels of blood uric acid,blood pressure,body mass index,fasting glucose,triglycerides,cholesterol were detected and compared.Results In prehypertension group,the levels of uric acid (344.5 ± 41.37)μ mol/L,shrink blood pressure (124.85 ± 7.52) mmHg,diastolic blood pressure (79.46 ± 6.62) mmHg,cholesterol (1.66 ± 1.10) mmol/L,triglycerides (4.69 ± 0.87) mmol/L,fasting plasma glucose (4.98 ± 1.01) mmol/L were significantly higher than those in the normal blood pressure group [(304.09 ± 63.75) μ mol/L,(106.12 ± 8.10) mmHg,(68.53 ± 6.26) mmHg,(1.30 ± 0.87) mmol/L,(4.52 ± 1.02) mmol/L,(4.78 ± 0.70) mmol/L] (t =15.32,49.14,34.81,7.48,3.57,4.67,all P ＜ 0.01).With the increase of uric acid,the levels of shrink blood pressure andthe diastolic blood pressure had an increasing trend(P ＜ 0.01).In prehypertension group,the uric acid level of men was (363.16 ± 32.05) μmol/L,which was significantly higher than female (311.35 ± 34.81) μmol/L (t =22.39,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Blood uric acid level and blood pressure level are closely related among general population,the serum uric acid increased in prehypertensive patients.The serum uric acid can provide useful prognostic information in subjects with the hypertension and the cardiovascular disease.

Objective To explore the clinical value of combined detection of serum CD4 + T cells and CD8 + T cells for advanced gastric cancer (AGC).Methods Serum levels of CI4 + T cells and CD8 + T cells were measured by flow cytometry and compared in 20 patients with AGC (experimental group) and 20 healthy adults (control group).Also,serum levels of CD4 + T cells and CD8 + T cells were measured by flow cytometry and compared before and after surgical treatment in the patients of experimental group.Results The serum levels of CD4 + T cells were decreased and CD8 + T cells were increased in patients with AGC.However,the serum levels of CD4 +T cells were increased and CD8 +T cells were decreased after surgical treatment (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions The serum levels of CD4 + T cells and CD8 + T cell help to assess the immune status of patients with AGC,which contributes to the illness monitoring for AGC.

Hepatic endometriosis is a rare form of atypical endometriosis,only 30 cases were reported worldwide.Most cases of hepatic endometriosis were misdiagnosed due to the lack of typical symptoms.One patient with space-occupying lesions in the liver diagnosed by color Doppler ultrasonography were admitted to the Fuzhou General Hospital of Nanjing Military Command on November 5,2012.The patient was preliminarily diagnosed as with hepatic echinococcosis and then received operation.The result of postoperative pathological examination confirmed hepatic endometriosis.

Osteoporotic spinal fractures is a serious orthopedic chronic disease in the healthy elder people .Because of the complexity of its pathogenesis , there has no standard treatment scheme .In order to solve this problem , we review the mechanism of the disease etiology, imaging, treatment, prevention of osteoporotic spinal fractures to provide references for the further prevention and con -trol of this disease .

Objective To explore the effects of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway by estradiol induced vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) in endometrial cancer Ishikawa cells.Methods The experiments were divided into 4 groups:E2 group (Ishikawa cells treated with 1 p mol/L estradiol for 30 minutes); inhibitor group:including Ishikawa cells treated with 10 μmol/L Bibf1 120 (Bibf1 120 group),or treated with 2.5 μmol/L Ponatinib (Ponatinib group),or treated with 10 p mol/L U0126 (U0126 group) for 60 minutes; inhibitor + E2 group:including Ishikawa cells treated with 10 μmol/L Bibf1120 (Bibf1120 + E2 group),or treated with 2.5 μmol/L Ponatinib (Ponatinib + E2 group),or treated with 10 μmol/L U0126 (U0126+ E2 group) for 60 minutes following incubation with 1 μmol/L estradiol for 30 minutes; control group:only adding the culture medium without serum DMEM.(1) Western blot analysis was used to detect phosphorylation extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2(p-ERK 1/2) protein expression with stimulation in different concentrations of estradiol (0.01,0.1,1,10,100 μmol/L).(2) Quantitative fluorescent reverse transcription (qRT)-PCR and western blot analysis was used to test the level of mRNA and protein of VEGF,bFGF,MAPK kinase 1/2 (MEK1/2),extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2 (ERK1/2),p-ERK1/2 and phosphorylation MEK1/2 (p-MEK1/2).Flow cytometry were used to examine the cell cycle,and transwell chamber assay were used to detect the cell migration in different groups.Results The expression of the p-ERK1/2 protein at 0.01,0.1,1,10,100 μ mol/L were 0.16±0.03,0.10±0.03,0.41 ±0.04,0.19±0.03,0.19±0.03,there were significantly higher than that in control group(0.05±0.00,P＜0.05),and which was more obvious at the concentration of 1 μmol/L estradiol.The expression level of VEGF,bFGF mRNA and protein in E2 group were higher than those in the control group (P＜O.05).VEGF mRNA and protein in Bibf1120+E2 group were higher than those in E2 group.The expression of MEK1/2,ERK1/2 mRNA protein in E2 group were higher than those in control group (P＜0.05).The expression of MEK1/2,ERK1/2 mRNA or p-MEK1/2,p-ERK1/2 protein in Bibf1120 + E2 group,Ponatinib+E2 group or U0126+E2 group were lower than those in E2 group(all P＜0.05).Percentage of G1 phase [(53.6±3.2)％] and S phase[(29.2±4.2)％] in E2 group was significantly different with those in control group respectively(P＜0.05).Percentage of G1 phase[(66.8±2.6)％,(63.1±2.6)％ and (63.3±0.4)％] and S phase [(25.4±1.9)％,(25.0±3.8)％ and(23.8±0.5)％] in U0126+E2 group,Bibf1120+E2 group or Ponatinib +E2 group was also significantly different with those in control group (all P＜0.05); percentage of G1 phase and S phase in U0126+E2 group was significant difference with those in Bibf1120+E2 group or ponatinib+E2 group (P＜0.05).The number of cell colony in E2 group (110± 17) was more than those in control group (65±8) ;the number of cell colony in U0126+E2 group(28±4),Bibf1120+E2 group(38±5) or Ponatinib+E2group(42±6) were significant different with those in E2 group (P＜0.05),the number of cell colony in U0126+E2 group was significant difference with those in Bibf1 120+E2 group or Ponatinib+E2 group (all P＜0.05).The results shown that the abilities of proliferation and cell migration were significantly increased in cells after estradiol stimulation.Conclusion Estradiol inducing the production of VEGF and bFGF could activate MAPK pathway through ER-independent manner,further promote development.

Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the characteristic of regional cerebral glucose metabolism in patients with Wilson's disease (WD) using 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET.Methods Thirteen WD patients and 12 normal controls were studied by brain 18F-FDG PET, and the data were analyzed by visual analysis, semi-quantification and statistical parametric mapping (SPM). The radioactivity ratios of lenticular nuclei, caudate, thalamus and cerebellum to cerebral cortex and the ratio of lenticular nuclei to caudate were calculated, respectively. SPSS 11.0 software for statistics was also used to analyze the data. Results In WD patients, radioactivity of lenticular nuclei and candate was significantly decreased compared with controls. The radioactivity ratios of lenticular nuclei and caudate to cerebral cortex in WD patients were both significantly lower than that in normal controls (0.95±0.05 vs 1.26±0.05, t =15, P < 0.05 ; 1.02±0.06 vs 1.17±0.05, t = 8, P < 0.05), and the ratio of lenticular nuclei to caudate in WD patients was significantly higher than that in normal controls (0.93±0.06 vs 1.09±0.06, t =9, P< 0.05). Conclusion As compared with normal controls, patients with WD had significantly decreased glucose utilization in the basal ganglia, especially in the lenticullar nuclei.

ObjectiveTo analyze the change in the incidence of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) and follicular thyroid carcinoma (FTC) in the past 27 years and to probe the relationship between iodine and these carcinomas. MethodsStatistical analysis was performed on data of thyroid diseases, thyroid malignant tumors, PTC , FTC and their complications in Department of Pathology from 1978 to 2004 in General Hospital of Tianjin Medical University with Run test、Cox-Stuart test, ANOVA, t or t′ test and Chi-square test. ResultsIn 27 years there were 231837 cases of biopsies (average 8587cases/year). The biopsies were performed in the thyroid diseases as a whole 6276 cases (2.70%),thyroidmalignanttumors644cases(0.28%), PTCs 465 cases (0.20%), and FTCs 80 cases (0.03%) in 27 years. Biopsies in thyroid diseases as a whole showed a descending tendency since 1982 but an ascending tendency after 1995. Biopsy in malignant thyroid tumor did not show a significant change, and biopsy in PTC showed an ascending tendency and that in FTC showed a descending tendency after 1995. The average age, both in male and female patients, at the time of diagnosis of PTC and FTC showed no significant change during 27 years, but the mean age of male at the time of diagnosis was older than that of female. The ratios of male to female in PTC and FTC were 1:3.31、1:2.81 respectively,and showed no significant change either. There were more biopsies with lymph node metastasis in PTC (33.76%) than those in FTC (10.00%) and more biopsies with blood vessel involved or nodular goiter in FTC (11.25% and 13.75%) than those in PTC (0.65% and 4.52%). Mean age of patients with PTC and nodular goiter (44.3 years old) was older than those without goiter (38.1 years old). The ratios of male to female with PTC and FTC with lymph node metastasis were higher than those without lymph node metastasis. ConclusionThe incidence of thyroid malignant tumors in 27 years has no significant change. The contrary tendency of PTC and FTC suggests that the decreasing malignant degree of carcinoma. It suggests that this area is not in high iodine condition and the change have no relationship with the iodine intake.
