Objective To compare the patency rate of percutaneous balloon angioplasty or stenting for restenosis of femoral-popliteal artery artificial vascular grafting.Method 78 cases of femoral-popliteal artery artificial vascular graft postoperative occlusion patients were divided into 2 groups:anastomotic balloon angioplasty group (36 cases) and stent angioplasty group (42 cases) after double-lumen catheter embolectomy.Patients in anastomotic balloon dilatation group were given balloon angioplasty only becaus fine narrow flow signals were seen in angiography.Patients in stenting group received balloon angioplasty followed by suitable caliber self-expanding stent placement.Patency rates were compared between the two groups after 12,36 months of interventional treatment. Results The patency rate in stenting group was higher than that of percutaneous balloon angioplasty group (x2 =7.422,P < 0.05).Conclusions Balloon stenting angioplasty had advantages of high patency rate over balloon dilatation for the treatment of postoperative occlusion of femoral-popliteal artery grafting.

Hepatic endometriosis is a rare form of atypical endometriosis, only 30 cases were reported worldwide. Most cases of hepatic endometriosis were misdiagnosed due to the lack of typical symptoms. One patient with space-occupying lesions in the liver diagnosed by color Doppler ultrasonography were admitted to the Fuzhou General Hospital of Nanjing Military Command on November 5,2012.The patient was preliminarily diagnosed as with hepatic echinococcosis and then received operation. The result of postoperative pathological examination confirmed hepatic endometriosis.

Objective To explore the clinical value of combined detection of serum CD4 + T cells and CD8 + T cells for advanced gastric cancer (AGC).Methods Serum levels of CI4 + T cells and CD8 + T cells were measured by flow cytometry and compared in 20 patients with AGC (experimental group) and 20 healthy adults (control group). Also, serum levels of CD4 + T cells and CD8 + T cells were measured by flow cytometry and compared before and after surgical treatment in the patients of experimental group. Results The serum levels of CD4 + T cells were decreased and CD8 + T cells were increased in patients with AGC.However, the serum levels of CD4 +T cells were increased and CD8 +T cells were decreased after surgical treatment (P < 0.05).Conclusions The serum levels of CD4 + T cells and CD8 + T cell help to assess the immune status of patients with AGC,which contributes to the illness monitoring for AGC.

Chinese Journal of Nuclear Medicine 2008;28(5):333-335
Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the characteristic of regional cerebral glucose metabolism in patients with Wilson's disease (WD) using 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET.Methods Thirteen WD patients and 12 normal controls were studied by brain 18F-FDG PET, and the data were analyzed by visual analysis, semi-quantification and statistical parametric mapping (SPM). The radioactivity ratios of lenticular nuclei, caudate, thalamus and cerebellum to cerebral cortex and the ratio of lenticular nuclei to caudate were calculated, respectively. SPSS 11.0 software for statistics was also used to analyze the data. Results In WD patients, radioactivity of lenticular nuclei and candate was significantly decreased compared with controls. The radioactivity ratios of lenticular nuclei and caudate to cerebral cortex in WD patients were both significantly lower than that in normal controls (0.95±0.05 vs 1.26±0.05, t =15, P < 0.05 ; 1.02±0.06 vs 1.17±0.05, t = 8, P < 0.05), and the ratio of lenticular nuclei to caudate in WD patients was significantly higher than that in normal controls (0.93±0.06 vs 1.09±0.06, t =9, P< 0.05). Conclusion As compared with normal controls, patients with WD had significantly decreased glucose utilization in the basal ganglia, especially in the lenticullar nuclei.

Objective To investigate the relationship between changes in Ca2+ concentration and unit discharge in the hippocampal neurons of epileptic rats. Methods Thirty-six healthy male Wistar rats were divided into three groups. Rats of the epilepsy group received an intraperitoneal injection of benzylpenicllin sodium at 6 million unit/kg; Rats of the epilepsy pretreatment group received 20 mg/kg of flunarizine at 14 and 2 hours before injection of benzylponicllin;the control group of rats received an intraperitoneal injection of normal saline.Three groups of rats were euthanized after recording of the unit discharge, and bilateral hippocampal cells were obtained to measure the cellular concentration of Ca2+ fluorescence using the new generation Ca2+ fluorescent dye Fluo-3-AM and flow cytometry. Results (1) A total of 24 units of hippocampal discharges were recorded in the control group. The average concentration Ca2+ fluorescence of the hippocampal neurons was 37.12±5.08.(2)A total of 78 units of hippocampal discharges were recorded in the epilepsy group. The average concentration of Ca2+fluorescence of the hippocampal neurons was 52.04±6.75.(3)A total of 47 units of hippocampal discharges were recorded in the epilepsy pretreatment group. The average concentration of Ca2+ fluorescence of the hippocampal neurons was 37.79±3.09.The correlation coefficient between the average concentration of Ca2+ fluorescence of the hippocampal neurons and the number of units of hippocampal discharge ( r=0.737,P<0.01).Conclusion There is a positive correlation between changes in average concentration of Ca2+ fluorescence of the hippocampal neurons and the numbers of units of hippocampal discharge.
