ObjectiveTo investigate the protective effect of astragalosideⅣ pretreatment against liver ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury in mice.MethodsSixty male C57BL/6 mice were randomized into four groups (15 mice in each group):group A:sham surgery with saline injection, group B:sham surgery with astragalosideⅣ injection, group C:I/R group with saline injection, group D:I/R and astragalosideⅣ injection.Mice were pretreated by daily intraperitoneal injection of saline or astragalosideⅣ (24 mg · kg-1 · d-1 ) for one week. The mouse partial liver model of I/R injury was established, and samples were collected at the 24 h after the I/R injury.Serum ALT and AST levels were determined, the histologic changes were observed by H&E staining under the light microscopy, whereas the nuclear factor (NF)-κB was assessed with Western blotting.Serum IL-1β,IL-6,and TNF-α levels were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ResultsSerum ALT and AST levels significantly decreased and the histological damage was significantly alleviated in astragalosideⅣ treated I/R group as compared with saline I/R group [ AST:C:(4290± 292) U/L vs.D:(2373± 416) U/L t =0.844 ; ALT:C:(4146±500) U/L vs.D:(2318±289) U/L t =7.08 P <0.05].In comparison with group 3,astragalosideⅣ reduced NF-κB nuclear expression.ELISA showed astragalosideⅣ significantly inhibit the levels of IL-1 β,IL-6,and TNF-α in the serum (IL-1β:t =10.04;IL-6:t =6.281;TNF-α:t =6.817; P <0.05).ConclusionsPretreatment with astragaloside Ⅳ effectively protect against liver ischemia/reperfusion injury in mice.

Objective To investigate the relationship between pelvic floor dysfunction and serum relaxin H2 and expression of vaginal wall relaxin receptor LGR7 mRNA in late pregnant women. Methods Before the beginning of delivery, all women were evaluated by pelvic organ prolapse quantitation(POP-Q)scoring.Twelve women with stress urinary incontinence(SUI)and stage II prolapse of anterior vaginal wall were selected as patient group, and another 24 women without SUI and prolapse of pelvic floor were served as control group.Serum relaxin H2 was determined by ELISA.Vaginal wall tissues were taken after vaginal delivery, and the expression of relaxin receptor LGR7 mRNA was detected by RT-PCR.Results The serum level of relaxin H2 and expression of LGR7 mRNA of vaginal tissues in patient group were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.01,P<0.05). Conclusion The increased level of serum relaxin and expression of vaginal wall relaxin receptor may correlate with the pelvic floor dysfunction in late pregnant women.

Objective To investigate the genetic association between polymorphisms of Ser447Stop in lipoprotein lipase (LPL) gene and ischemic stroke. MethodsA case-control study was performed in 563 acute ischemic stroke patients and 320 controls. LPL Ser447Stop genotypes in the subjects were detected by polymerase chain reaction and restriction fragment length polymorphism assay. The frequencies of the alleles in each group were statistically analyzed with Student t-test. ResultsNo significant difference was found in the frequency of G allele of LPL Ser447Stop polymorphism between the case and the control. When subjects were divided into 2 subgroups of cerebral thrombosis infarction and lacunar infarction, the frequency of G allele was significantly higher in the cerebral thrombosis infarction group (9. 7% ) than that in the control (6. 6%, χ2= 3. 99,P = 0. 045 ), and an increased risk for thrombosis infarction was suggested in the G allele ( OR = 1. 510, 95% CI 1. 012--2. 261 ). ConclusionThe G allele in polyim Ser447Stop in LPL may be associated with increased risk of cerebral thrombosis infarction.

BACKGROUND:The surface of dental impression is inevitable to carry various bacteria caused by direct contact with the patient saliva, mucosa and blood during preparation;therefore, disinfection of the dental impression is necessary. OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the disinfection efficiency of glutaraldehyde, chlorine dioxide and electrolyzed oxiding water on dental impressions and to investigate the dimensional stability of impressions after disinfection, thus providing basis for establishing a standard and reasonable disinfection method. METHODS:Alginate impression materials were contaminated in vitro, and then immersed in glutaraldehyde, chlorine dioxide and electrolyzed-oxiding water for 5, 10 and 15 minutes, respectively. The colonies were counted after germiculture to compare the disinfection efficiency of three disinfectants. The impressions were poured in die stone after immersion, the dental models were structured-light scanned and three-dimensional digital dental models were reconstructed. Al the data were global y registered, and linear dimensions were measured on the digital models to deduce the influence of disinfection on surface accuracy and dimensional stability of the impressions. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The disinfecting rate reached 100%through immersion in 2%alkaline glutaraldehyde for 5 minutes, and the disinfection of kil ing the hepatitis B virus was effective after 10-minute immersion. The disinfecting rate of 600 ppm chlorine dioxide for 15 minutes kil ing experimental bacteria reached 99%and effective for kil ing the hepatitis B virus. While the disinfecting rate of kil ing experimental bacteria was less than 99%through immersion in electrolyzed oxiding water for 15 minutes, and was not effective for hepatitis B virus. The three-dimensional digital dental models did not differ significantly. These results suggest that immersion in 2%alkaline glutaraldehyde for 10 minutes or 600 ppm chlorine dioxide for 15 minutes can effectively disinfect alginate impressions and make no significant effect on the dimensional stability.

Medical psychology master's degree graduate student course mainly includes basic cour-ses, professional courses and psychological skills training, professional practice skills learning and scientific research quality training. Due to the constraints of discipline development starting late, teachers being rela-tively weak and other objective factors, in curriculum setting, there exist problems of unclear objectives, confusing the primary with secondary, unclear standard, lacking principles, and in particular, there are obvious deficiencies in the training and cultivation of students' ! professional skills . Based on the above objective problems, we made preliminary discussion on the training objectives, the main problems, curricu-lum setting, assessment standards and principles to follow, in order to achieve the purpose of cultivating high-level application-oriented talents through curriculum design and teaching practice.

Flow cytometer were used to detect apoptosis. Morphological changes were observed by electron microscopy. Results The expression of survivin mRNA was decreased 47.83% in ASODN group while apoptosis was increased from (0.50?0.23)% to (26.28? 3.91)%. Abnormal morphological changes of cells were observed in ASODN group and apoptosis bodies were found in some gallbladder carcinoma cells. Conclusion The expression of survivin may be decreased in GBC-SD cells after ASODN transfection.ASODN targeting survivin could induce gallbladder carcinoma cells apoptosis effectively.
