Based on the CT data and the structure characteristics of the femoral fractures during different healing stages, medical FE models of fractured femur treated with locking compression plate (LCP)were built. Under the physiological load of a standard body weight (70 kg) and the constraint condition, the stress distributions of LCP and fractured femur during healing were calculated by means of three-dimensional finite element analysis (3D-FEA). The results showed that the stress distribution in the LCP and the fractured femur was similar, during the initial stage which there was no newly formed bone or soft tissue in fracture site. The maximum von Mises stress (371.23,272.76 MPa) in the fractured femur was much higher than that in natural femur, and the intensive stress was concentrated mainly in the proximal area of the fractured femur. With the growth of bony callus bone in fracture site, the intensity of stress in proximal femur decreased. Contrasted to the two cases mentioned above, the value of the maximum von Mises stress (68. 17 MPa) in bony callus bone stage decreased significantly, and was lower than the safe strength of natural bone. Therefore, appropriate training which is benefitial for the growth to new bone could be arranged for the better rehabilitation.

Acta Universitatis Medicinalis Anhui 2013;(12):1488-1490
Objective To monitor lung growth rule of normal middle-late pregnancy fetal. Methods 599 cases of 18 and 40 weeks normal singletons were grouped by every two weeks. The length of right lung in the sagittal plane and the cross-sectional plane were measured, and the growth curve was described. The ratio of right lung area (RLa) and head circumference (Hc),chest circumference (Tc) and of the chest area (Ta) in different gestational ages was calcalated. The correlation coefficient was obtained by applying statistical analysis. Results There was a linear relationship between RLa/Hc and RLa/Tc and growth of gestational age;the regression equation was:(RLa/Hc: ?Y= 0.948X-1.221, r2 =0.898, the RLa/Tc: ?Y=0.944X-1.800, r2 =0.894). RLa/Ta in different ges-tational age was in constant range:0.42~0.55. The length of right lung in the sagittal plane and the cross-sectional plane increased along with the gestational age, and the growth speed was:before and after diameter(the cross-sec-tional plane) > upper and lower diameter (sagittal plane) > about size (the cross-sectional plane). Conclusion Prenatal ultrasound can evaluate the growth rule of normal fetal lung and provide the basis for assessment of fetal lung maturity.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 1984;0(02):-
The dynamic changes of the T cell subsets in the peripheral blood and the serum level of immunoglobin and complement C3 were observed in 32 breast cancer patients before and after surgery and after radiotherapy.20 patients with benign breast diseases and 20 normal women were observed likewise. It was found that the Ts cells and serum IgG and IgA were significantly increased and the TH/Ts ratio markedly decreased in the breast cancer group as compared with those of other 2 groups. In the first postoperative week,TH cells and TH/TS ratio were markedly decreased in all cases operated on.One month after operation, all the parameters returned nearly to the normal level in the group with benign breast diseases. In the group without radiotherapy, the proportion of OKT3+ cells in the 3rd postoperative month and OKT4+ cells in the 6th postoperative month exceeded the preoperative level while that of OKT8+ cells decreased. In the first week after radiotherapy,TH cells decreased,Ts cells increased and TH/Ts ratio decreased significantly.Meanwhile serum IgG was elevated.OKT3+ cells markedly increased in the 6th month after radiotherapy and OKT8+ cells decreased 1 year after that. The immunore-active state of breast cancer patients and the effects of therapeutic measures on them were discussed.

Objective To evaluate the indications and clinical results of less invasive stabilizing system (LISS) in the treatment of complex fractures around the knee. Methods Screws in this system can be inserted through the aiming handle and can be locked into the plate-holes. Between Dec. 2003 and Jun. 2004, 41 cases(29 males, 12 females) of complex fractures around knee were treated with LISS. The mean age of the patients was 40.6 years (range 24 to 67 years). The proximal tibia was involved in 28 cases and distal femur in 13. In all 41 cases, there are 22 (53.7%) polytrauma, 6 (14.6%) delayed fractures and 1 revision surgery. All fresh fractures were operated in a minimal invasive way (only articualr surfaces need open reduction), fractures in metaphyseal area and tibial shaft were reduced indirectly and stabilized with minimal invasive percutaneous plate osteosynthesis(MIPPO). The delayed and revisional fractures were reduced with limited approach and stabilized with MIPPO. Results The mean operation time was 87.2 min. The follow-up averaged 16 months(range 13 to 21 months). 3 patients with bone deficit in distal femur underwent a bone graft which unioned eventually, the other patients had a mean healing time of 15.1 weeks(11 to 23 weeks) and a mean weight bearing time of 16.8 weeks (12 to 25 weeks). One pulling device broken and one screw lost in the tibial medullary cavity occured intraoperatively. Postoperatively, one loss of reduction occurred, no deep infection, loosening, breakage or failure of implants was noted. According to Rasmussen criteria of fracture reduction, excellent in 31 (75.6%) cases, good in 10 (24.4%). One year postoperatively, the mean ROM of the knees was 2.4? to 95.6?, the mean HSS knee score was 88.4 points(58 to 98 points)with 27 excellent, 10 good, 3 fair and 1 poor according to HSS scoring system. Conclusion LISS, with a novel operating concept and technique different to traditional methods, is an effective and alternative way for complex juxtaarticular fractures around the knee, especially for those difficult to deal with in traditional way. As a novel product further clinical studies are required to verify its effectiveness.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1982;0(03):-
The aim of this study was to explored the mechanism of inhibitory effect of chloroquine on IL-6 release induced synergistically by bacterial DNA and endotoxin. Before experiment mice were sensitized for 1 hour with D-GalN by I.P. injection. Mortality within seven days was observed after mice were challenged with CpG ODN or LPS with or without chloroquine treatment. ANA-1 cell line cells were cultivated in vitro. We investigated the influence of chloroquine on IL-6 release induced by both EC DNA and LPS. Expressions of TLR4 and TLR9 and activation of NF-?B p65 were investigated in cultured THP-1 cells pretreated with chloroquine and stimulated by EC DNA and LPS. The results showed that all mice died within 4 hours after challenged with CpG ODN and LPS. Only 4 or 5 mice pretreated with chloroquine (30mg/kg) died after challenged with CpG ODN and LPS (P
