3.Expressions of IL-6 receptor subunit gp80 and gp130 genes in bone marrow of osteoporotic rat
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2000;0(06):-
Gene expressions of interleukin-6 receptor subunit gp130 and gp80 were investigated by competitive RT-PCR in the rat model of osteoporosis. A significant increase in expressions of gp130 and gp80 was found in bone marrow of osteoporotic rat, this change may be a possible mechanism in osteoporosis due to loss of estrogen.

Chinese Journal of Medical Ultrasound (Electronic Edition) 2014;(2):125-130
Objective To analyze the congenital anomalies of inferior vena cava (IVC) with their color Doppler and clinical features, and to evaluate the value of color Doppler ultrasound in the diagnosis of congenital anomalies of the IVC. Methods Between July 2009 and March 2012, 22 patients who were diagnosed as IVC anomalies by color and spectral Doppler ultrasound were retrospectively analyzed. After careful and comprehensive scanning on multiple planes, the final diagnosis was made based on the findings obtained on B-mode, color Doppler and spectral Doppler ultrasound. All the results obtained by sonography were compared with computerized tomography angiography, digital subtraction angiography, and other clinical examinations. Results There were 22 cases diagnosed as congenital anomalies of IVC, including 5 cases of the left IVC, 3 cases of the double IVC, 3 cases of membranous obstruction of the IVC (MOVC) and 11 cases of the anomalies of the left renal vein. In left IVC, the infrarenal left-sided IVC entered into the left renal vein, then crossed anterior to the aorta to join the right-sided suprarenal IVC. In double IVC, bilateral IVCs could be seen on both sides of the abdominal aorta, and the left IVC joined the right IVC over aorta then entered into the right atrium. Some patients of the left IVC and double IVC had left renal vein hypertension. All the cases of MOVC in our study presented as Budd-Chiari syndrome, in which B-mode ultrasonography showed the existence of the membranous obstruction in inferior vena cava at the level of entrance to the right atrium. On color Doppler lfow image (CDFI), reverse blood lfow into lumbar and ascending lumbar vein was found. Eleven cases of left renal vein malformations were also seen in present study, including 9 cases of retroaortic
left renal vein, 1 case of circumaortic left renal vein and 1 case of the left renal vein into the left common iliac vein. Among them, 9 cases were associated with left renal vein hypertension. Conclusion Color and spectral Doppler ultrasound can clearly identify the congenital anomalies of IVC with the evaluation of their hemodynamic modiifcation, and can be used as an important approach in the diagnosis of the anomalies of the IVC.

This study sought to amplify the CDS region of p55-v0 and p55-v3 gene in Pneumocystis carinii (PC) and to analyze their sequences. The total RNA extracted from PC- infected lungs of rats were used as the template to amplify these genes by RT-PCR.The amplified products were connected to T-vector and transformed into E.coli DH5α.The recombinant T-vectors were selected in LB culture medium containing ampicillin. Then the positive clones of recombinants were identified by PCR and digested by restrictive endonuclease. After that the recombinant were sequenced and analyzed. It was found that the CDS region of p55-v0 gene contained 1245 bps, encoding 414 amino acids. The homology between this sequence and the one reported previously in nucleotide and amino acid were 99.8% and 100% respectively.Meanwhile, the CDS region of p55-v3 contained 1053 bps, encoding 350 amino acids. As compared with GenBank, the homology in nucleotide and amino acid was 99.9% and 100% respectively. However, the similarity in nucleotide between p55-v3 and p55-v0 was just 20.9%.In this study, the CDS regions of p55-v0 and p55-v3 gene were cloned successfully, and the high homology was found between p55-v0,p55-v3 and the one reported previously by sequence analysis,p55-v3 was different from p55-v0 in nucleotides and amino acids. This result would provide a basis for comparison of immunologic functions so as to explore the mechanism of action of the p55-v3 gene.

Objective To explore the effect of erythropoietin(EPO) on Bcl-xl expression in hippocampal CA1 subregion and cognizing function in rats with cerebral ischemia-reperfusion(IR).Methods Male SD rats were randomly separated into sham-operated group,IR group and EPO group, and the IR models were made.At 3 h before IR models made,rHu-EPO and saline were injected into rat lateral ventricles in EPO group and IR group, respectively, with help of stereotaxic coordinates.Bcl-xl protein expression of Hippocampal CA1 subregion was detected by immunohistochemistry at 24 h after operation. The learning and memory abilities were examined by electricity maze at 4 weeks after operation. Results Compared to sham-operated group,Bcl-xl protein expression in EPO group and IR group were obviously decreased, but EPO group was significantly increased than IR group(all P

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2004;0(11):-
Objective To evaluate minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis (MIPO) technique in the treatment of humeral shaft fractures using locking compression plate (LCP). Methods Between February 2004 and January 2005, 17 consecutive patients with 17 humeral shaft fractures were treated with LCP by MIPO technique. There were 12 men and 5 women with a mean age of 48 years (range, 18 to 75). According to AO classification, three fractures were type12-A, 10 type 12-B, and four type 12-C. Results The mean duration of follow-up was 19. 1 months (range 14 to 25) . Union occurred in all patients with a mean healing time of 11. 3 weeks (range 9 to 14) . With regard to ROM of the shoulder, the mean flexion was 174 degrees (range, 135 to 180 ), the mean extension was 38 degrees (range, 20 to 40), and the mean abduction was 87 degree (range, 70 to 90). For the elbow, the mean flexion was 133 degree (range, 115 to 135), the mean extension was -1 degree(range, - 10 to 0). Using the patient-rated functional questionnaire, the mean DASH (disabilities of the arm, shoulder and hand) score of 11 points (range, 6 to 44) at the latest follow-up indicated a mild to moderate impairment. There were three postoperative complications. One superficial infection occurred in a Custilo type MB open fracture and was uneventfully healed with conservative managements. One patient experienced transient radial nerve palsy which showed complete remission within 3 months. The third one demonstrated a dysfunction of shoulder and elbow. There were no cases of secondary malalignment or late hardware failure in this cohort. Conclusions Internal fixation using LCP in MIPO can attain a stable fixation, a high union rate as well as a low complication rate. The neurovascular structures may be at less risk of iatrogenic injuries through the anterior approach. It may be considered a reliable and efficient method for humeral shaft fractures, especially for comminuted ones and those with poor bone quality.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2016;18(1):18-21,25
Chemotherapy is still the main treatment in advanced gastric cancer by now,but no standard approach has been adopted.Chemotherapy can prolong median overall survival and improve quality of life compared to the best supportive care alone.Recent years, with the appearance of various new agents, chemotherapy remains continuous improvement. As a result, response rate and overall survival of advanced gastric cancers were further improved.Meanwhile, with a greater understanding of the molecular biology of gastric cancer, molecular biological targeted therapies that target human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER-2),endothelial growth factor receptor (EGFR) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) become the focus of the comprehensive treatment.Chemotherapy combined targeted therapy have shown great benefit and perspective in treatment of advanced gastric cancer, but their usage should be further modified and optimized in clinical trials and practices.
