5.Discussing the diagnosing and treating mode of corresponding prescription and pattern in Japanese kampo medicine
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2010;32(2):124-125
Japanese kampo medicine originated from traditional Chinese medicine. But different from TCM pattern of "Tracing the etiology by syndrome differentiation-establishing therapeutic methods-prescribing formula", during the process of development, Japanese kampo medicine has gradually formed a different diagnostic and therapeutic mode, which was "corresponding prescription and pattern". This therapeutic mode directly chose formula from ancient books, especially Shanghanlun (Treatise on Febrile Diseases), according to the constitution, symptoms and signs of patients. The diagnostic and therapeutic mode of Japanese kampo medicine provides references for integration of traditional Chinese and western medicine.
6.Recent advances in the pathogenesis and treatment of hypoproteinemia after surgical stress
Chinese Critical Care Medicine 2017;29(3):284-288
After major operation,a series of complicated pathological and physiological changes will occur during the trauma and stress state. The protein synthesis is affected, which results in negative nitrogen balance. In addition, the release of inflammatory factors can damage the capillary endothelial cells and increase the permeability of micrangium, induce vascular colloidal albumin leakage to the extravascular tissue, decrease plasma albumin, make wound edema, eventually lead to postoperative hypoproteinemia.Except for albumin supplement,it should be aimed at the mechanism to control the stress response and reduce the leakage caused by the release of inflammatory factors to solve this problem radically in clinical work. The reports about the causes and treatment of hypoproteinemia after major surgery were reviewed to provide evidence for clinical treatment.

Chinese Journal of Biochemical Pharmaceutics 2014;37(4):111-112,115
Objective To investigate and compare the clinical efficacy of mifepristone alone and combined with Gongliuxiao capsule in the treatment of uterine fibroids. Methods 106 patients with uterine fibroids in Harrison International Peace Hospital from December 2012 to December 2013 were selected. The patients were randomly divided into control group and experimental group(n=53).The former were treated with mifepristone alone while the later were treated with the combination of mifepristone and Gongliuxiao capsule. All the patients were given 2 courses of treatment with 12 weeks for a course. The menstrual phase, volume of menstruation, uterus and the volorne of uterine fibroids before and after the treatment, and the clinical efficacy of both groups were evaluated. All the results were recorded and compared. Results The menstrual phase, volume of menstruation, uterus and uterine fibroids of both groups after the treatment were significantly less than those before treatment (P <0.05 ).And the total effective rate of experimental group was 92.45%,which was significantly higher than 73.58% of control group. Both groups had some mild adverse reactions, which didn’t affect the treatment. Conclusion The combination of mifepristone and Gongliuxiao capsule has a great efficacy in the treatment of uterine fibroids.Compared with the use of mifepristone alone, the combination treatment is much more effective.
9. Short hairpin RNA-targeting special AT-rich sequence-binding protein-1 induces the apoptosis of human lung cancer cell line A549
Tumor 2012;32(7):501-506
Objective: To investigate the effect of short hairpin RNA (shRNA)-targeting special ATrich sequence-binding protein-1 (SATB 1) on the apoptosis of human lung cancer cell line A549, and to explore the possible mechanism. Methods: The recombined plasmid SATB1-shRNA of shRNA-targeting SATB 1 was constructed and transfected into A549 cells by LipofectAMINE 2000. The expression levels of SATB1, Bcl-2 and Bax mRNAs were examined by RT-PCR, and the expression levels of SATB1, Bcl-2, Bax, and caspase 3 proteins were examined by Western-blotting. The apoptosis rate of A549 cells was detected by flow cytometry (FCM). Results: The recombined plasmid SATB1-shRNA was successfully constructed and transfected into the A549 cells. After transfection with SATB1-shRNA, the expression levels of SATB1 and Bcl-2 mRNAs and proteins were decreased (P <0.05), whereas the expression levels of Bax mRNA and protein and the caspase 3 protein were increased (P <0.05). The apoptosis rate of A549 cells after transfection with SATB1-shRNA was higher than that of the A549 cells without transfection with SATB1-shRNA [(14.18±1.59) % vs (1.84±0.57) %, P <0.01]. Conclusion: SATB1-shRNA can significantly down-regulate the expression level of SATB1 in human lung cancer cell line A549 and induce the apoptosis. The mechanism may be related to the cascade effect induced by the down-regulation of Bcl-2 expression. Copyright © 2012 by TUMOR.
