Objective To analyze the changes of serum total bilirubin (TBil) and gamma glutamyltransferase (GGT) in patients with type 2 diabetes newly diagnosed without complications and explore their relationship with vascular complications of type 2 diabetes. Methods The levels of serum TBil and GGT were determined by automatic biochemical analyzer in 42 healthy person (control group),64patients with type 2 diabetes without complications (diabetes without complications group) and 81 patients with type 2 diabetes with vascular complications (diabetes with complications group). Results The levels of serum TBil and GGT were (7.89 ± 4.81) μ mol/L and (29.81 ± 14.97) U/L in diabetes with complications group. The level of serum TBil was (10.42 ± 3.55) μ mol/L in control group. The levels of serum TBil and GGT were (11.30 ± 4.16) μ mol/L and (47.00 ± 38.57) U/L in diabetes without complications group. The level of serum TBil in diabetes with complications group was lower than that in control group and diabetes without complications group (P < 0.05).The level of serum GGT in diabetes with complications group was lower than that in diabetes without complications group (P < 0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that 24-hour urinary protein excretion, urinary albumin creatinine ratio had negative correlation with serum TBil (P <0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that GGT was the protective factor of diabetic vascular complications (OR =0.965).Conclusion The levels of serum TBil and GGT may be associated with the occurrence and development of vascular lesions in patients with type 2 diabetes.

Objective To investigate the effect of platelet-derived growth factor-D (PDGF-D) on the prostate cancer cells migration and its possible mechanism. Methods The expressions of PDGF-D in LNCaP and PC-3 cells were detected with western blot.PDGF-D siRNA was synthesized according to mRNA sequence of PDGF-D gene and was transfected into PC-3 cell. The cells were treated with PDGF-D and PDGF-D siRNA,the cell migration was examined by Boyden chamber migration assay. The expression changes of VEGF and MMP-9 mRNA were detected by RT-PCR. Results The results of western blot indicated that the PDGF-D protein expression level was lower in LNCaP cells (29.47 ± 1.68) than that in PC-3 cells (63.43 ±2.10),(P < 0.05).PDGF-D siRNA could down-regulate the PDGF-D protein expression in the transfected group (35.19 ± 1.51).The exogenous PDGF-D could promote migration of LNCaP and PC-3cells,and up-regulate the expression of VEGF,MMP-9 mRNA in PC-3 cells (P < 0.05,compared with control group).PDGF-D siRNA inhibited PC-3 cells' migration and decreased the level of VEGF,MMP-9mRNA expression (0.72 ± 0.09 vs 0.43 ± 0.18,0.65 ±0.07 vs 0.22 ± 0.08) (P < 0.05). Conclusion PDGF-D is involved in the promotion of prostate cancer invasion and angiogenesis.

Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 1982;0(01):-
Objective:To establish an experimental phalloplasty model with sensory restoration in rabbits and to explore a new surgical technique to improve the postoperative sensory function in phallic reconstruction. Methods: Adult male New Zealand white rabbit was used. Penile reconstruction was performed with superficial epigastric faciovascular pedicle flap. Free saphenous nerve graft was dissected, embedded in the flap, and end-to-end anastomosed to dorsal nerve of penis. Postoperatively, H-E staining and CGRP immunohistochemical staining were applied to observe the morphology of the regenerated nerves in the reconstructed penis at different stages. Results:Only a few CGRP-positive fibers scattered in deep corium in the reconstructed penis 1 month after surgery, while the quantity of CGRP nerve fibers increased markedly and the CGRP-positive fibers appeared in both superficial corium and papillae corii after 3 months. Six months postoperatively, the positive nerve fibers were also observed around the cutaneous accessories and in the epidermis-corium boundary layer. Conclusion: This rabbit model demonstrates the possibility of a new method for phalloplasty with sensory recovery, which may redound to clinical application.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(04):-
Aim To investigate the effects of indole-selenium on mice's immunological liver injury. Methods The model of immunological liver injury in mice was prepared. The activities of alanine aminotransferase(ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase(AST) were assayed by spectrophotometry; the levels of nitric oxide(NO) in serum were assayed by Griess method; tumour necrosis factor-? (TNF-?) activity was determined by ridio immunoassay method and the level of interleukin-1(IL-1) was assayed by MTT dye reduction. Results Indole-selenium (5, 10, 20 mg?kg~(-1)) significantly decreased serum transaminase (ALT, AST) levels, attenuated the area and extent of necrosis and reduced the infiltration of inflammatory cells. Furthermore, indole-selenium significantly lowered the increased TNF-? and NO levels in serum and inhibited the production of TNF-? and IL-1 by peritoneal macrophages. Conclusion Indole-selenium possesses amelioration effect on pathology of immunological liver injury in mice, which was related directly with inhibiting the production of TNF-? and NO levels in serum, decreasing the production of TNF-? and IL-1 by peritoneal macrophages.
