1.Preliminary Study on the Relationship Between Blood Lead Levels and Height, Weight of Preschool Children in Harbin

ve To explore the levels of boood lead of preschool children in Harbin and their impacts on the growth and development of children. Methods 310 preschool children aged 4~7 years were selected for measurement of height and weight, and for collection of fasting blood samples, determined for concentrations of lead by ICP/ MS assay. The state of lead poisoning in selected subjects was defined based on the blood lead level of ?100?g/L ruled by the standard of children's lead poisoning established by CDC in 1991 and Health Assessment Scale for Growth and Development of Children set by Academy of Preventive Medicine. Results The prevalance rate of lead poisoning a-mong selected preschool children was 14.9%. Objective To explore the effects of ultraviolet irradiation on platelet. Methods Three assays were been developed.These include platelet count,release of alpha granule membrane protein 140(GMP-140)and morphology of platelet by electron micrograph in those samples before and after ultraviolet irradiation.Results Compared with the nonirradiated controls,the irradiated units showed significant changes including decrease of platelet count,increase of release of GMP-140 and platelet lesion in morphology.Conclusion Ultraviolet irradiation may have activation and lesion effect in platelet.
3.Relationship between subjective well-being and family care degree of medical college students

ObjectiveTo study the relationship between subjective well-being and family care degree of medical college students.Methods2695 medical college students were tested by Family APGAR index and Oxford Happiness Test-Revised.The data was analyzed by independent-sample t test,pearson correlations and linear regression.Results ( 1 ) The subjective well-being and family care degree and its factors of college students were above average.The score of subjective well-being was 43.08 ± 11.16,and the score of family care degree was 6.48 ±2.39.(2)The family care degree( t=3.462,P<0.01) and its adaptation( t=2.718,P<0.01),partnership( t =4.178,P<0.01),and growth( t=4.484,P<0.01 ) of female students were higher than male students.The family care degree ( t =3.939,P < 0.01 )and its adaptation ( t =4.683,P < 0.01 ),partner-ship ( t =3.306,P< 0.01 ),and growth ( t =2.796,P < 0.01 ) and subjective well-being( t =3.508,P< 0.01 ) of the students who came from cities and towns were higher than the students who came from rural.(3)There was a significant relation between subjective well-being and family care degree and its factors( r=0.197 ~ 0.357,all P<0.05 ).The partner-ship,resolve,growth and affection can forecast together the 13.2% variance of subjective well-being.ConclusionEnhancing family care degree is contribute to the subjective well-being and psychological health of medical college students.
4.Detection of chlamydia pneumonia in peripheral blood mononuclear cells of blood donors and its values

Objectives: To investigate the status of chlamydia pneumonia infection in blood donors from Nanjing Command of PLA. Methods: Use the technique of nested polymerase chain reaction to detect the DNA of chlamydia pneumonia in peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Results: 32 of 100 blood donors were positive (32%). Conclusions: Our study reveals that the infection rate of chlamydia pneumonia in blood donors from Nanjing Command of PLA is considerable high and the clinical values need further research.

OBJECTIVE To compare modified Kane/Fischer system and PCR method in identification for Trichophyton rubrum.METHODS Using modified Kane/Fischer system and TR1F and TR1R primers to identify 32 strains of dermatophytes.RESULTS The modified Kane/Fischer system and PCR could rapidly and stably(identify) T.rubrum.CONCLUSIONS The two methods can be used as the standard system to identify T.rubrum.

9.Electrophysiological and morphological properties of the ventral neurons in medial geniculate body in rats

Objective To investigate the electrophysiological and morphological properties of the single ventral neuron in the medial geniculate body (MGBv) in rats. Methods The basic electrophysiological properties and action potentials at different levels of membrane potentials were recorded by whole cell patch clamp technique. Morphological properties of ventral neurons in the medial geniculate body were studied by biocytin staining. Results Nissl and biocytin stainings indicated that MGBv neurons were composed of oval shaped cell bodies, and the dendritic branches were tufted. In current clamp recordings, the resting membrane potential was (-54.92?10.85) mV, the input resistance (945.67?507.80) M?, the membrane capacitance (5.37?1.98) pF, and the time constant (2 109 87 ?2 496 01) ?s. Action potentials under different current inputs were various. Spontaneous discharge could be recorded by voltage clamp and current clamp. Conclusion MGBv dendritic trees are fairly dense with bushy tufted neurons and variety of action potentials under different current inputs in ventral neurons of the medial geniculate body. Spontaneous activities recorded by current clamp are similar to the action potential, which may be the spontaneous action potential due to the exceeding of membrane potential over liminal value.
10.Expression of KLK10 in endometrioid adenocarcinoma and its relationship with ER and PR

Objective To evaluate the expression of human kallikrein10 (KLK10) in different endometrioid tissues and analyse the relationship of KLK10 with ER and PR in endometrioid adenoearcinoma.Methods The expression of KLK10 protein in 12 normal endometria,19 endometrial hyperplasia and 34 endometrial carcinoma were detected by immunohistochemistry.The correlations of the expression of KLK10 protein,ER and PR were analyzed.Results The expression of KLK10 in stage Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ were 64.3 %(9/14),30.0 % (3/10),10.0 % (1/10),and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05).The expression of KLK10 in endometrial carcinoma,normal endometria,endometrial hyperplasia were 66.7 % (8/12),33.3 %(4/12),10.0 % (1/10),and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05).The expression of KLK10 in G1,G2,G3 were 66.7 %,33.3 %,10.0 %,and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05).The positive rate of KLK10 expression was 38.2 % and the positive rates of ER and PR expression were 67.6 %and 55.9 %,respectively,in 34 endometrial carcinoma.The expression of KLK10 was positively correlated with ER and PR expression (x2 =0.448,P < 0.01).Conclusion Absence or down-regulated expression of KLK10 may play an important role in the formation and development of endometrioid adenocarcinoma.The low expression of KLK10 is correlated with low expression of ER and PR in endometrioid adenocarcinoma.The positive expression of KLK00,ER and PR predicts a better prognosis.
