0.05). No significant differences were detected in the median time of remission, median survival time and 1-, 2-year survival rates between the groups. Moreover, no significant differences were detected in the grade Ⅲ~Ⅳ leukopenia, grade Ⅲ~Ⅳ thrombocytopenia, grade Ⅲ~Ⅳ nausea and vomiting and grade Ⅲ~Ⅳ constipation between the groups. Conclusions:The response rate of the MVP regimen is slightly lower than the HMVP regimen, but the HMVP regimen is not noticeably superior. It may increase the toxicity such as leukopenia, nausea/vomiting and constipation, as wellas being more expensive. In short, MVP regimen should be selected between the regimens in the chemotherapy of advanced NSCLC.

Objective To study the diagnostic value of 3 dimentional CT reconstruction in upper urinary tract obstructive diseases. Methods 37 patients with upper urinary tract obstructive diseases underwent thin slice helical CT scan and 3 dimentional reconstruction of the urinary tract as well as 3 dimentional CT angiography when needed. Results All the cases have been definitely diagnosed including ureteral carcinoma in 8, bladder carcinoma in 2, ureteral calculi in 9, benign ureteral stricture in 7, congenital malformation in 7 and pelvic tumor in 4.All the patients except those with pelvic tumors underwent surgical intervention and the diagnosis were confirmed. The operative findings were in concord with the helical CT results. Conclusions 3 dimentional CT reconstruction of the urinary tract can provide distinct urinary tract images and helps determining the site and the cause of the obstruction. Compared with other methods, the procedure has the advantages of high resolution, rapid imaging and low invasiveness. It might become the most valuable means of detecting upper urinary tract diseases.

Objective To investigate the therapy efficiency and complication prevention in patients undergoing radiofrequency current catheter ablation combined with multiple X-ray projecting angles. Methods Two hundred and six atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT) patients were involved in this study. The distance between the tip of His and the ostium of coronary sinus were measured under different X-ray projecting angles respectively, including posterior anterior (PA), right anterior oblique 30° (RAO 30° ) and left anterior oblique 45° (LAO 45° ) in each patient, and mapping was proceeding under the corresponding X-ray projecting angles with the longest distance. The distance between ablating catheter and His was confirmed again before powering by the other two X-ray projecting angles. Results The longest distance between the tip of His and the ostium of coronary sinus were obtained in 66,75 and 65 patients under PA,RAO 30° and LAO 45° respectively(P> 0.05 ),and the data were (2.94 ± 0.87), (2.98 ± 0.76)and (2.91 ± 0.52) cm(P> 0.05). Transient first or second degree of atrioventricular blocking was observed in 4 cases among 22 high risk patients in which the powering sites were above the medium level of the distance between the tip of His and the ostium of coronary sinus under three kinds of X-ray projecting angles obviously. However, only 1 case was observed in other 184 patients(P< 0.01 ). All patients were cured successfully and no permanent atrioventricular blocking occurred. Conclusion Radiofrequency current catheter ablation combined with multiple X-ray projecting angles is helpful to increasing the successful rate and preventing complication in ablating therapy.

BACKGROUND: It has confirmed that angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor benazepril can delay fibrosis of varied organs. However, whether benazepril has inhabited effect on peritoneal fibrosis in the process of peritoneal dialysis is poorly understood. OBJECTIVE: It is assumed that benazepril could inhabit peritoneal fibrosis of peritoneum with peritoneal dialysis, in addition, to compare the effect to other mehods. METHODS: All rats were randomly and evenly divided into 4 groups. There was no intervention in the control group; saline solution, and 20 mL 42.5 g/L Dianeal solution, was injected into rats in the saline solution and peritoneal dialysis groups; in the combination group, 20 mL 42.5 g/L Dianeal solution was injected combined with oral taken benazepril 20 mg/(kg·d). The intraperitoneal injection performed once a day, for 4 successive weeks. The ultrafiltration function was performed 4 weeks later. Meantime, Paraffin sections were cut and stained by Van Gieson to measure peritoneal thickness. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Two rats in the peritoneal dialysis group and 1 rat in the combination group were dead. The remained 37 rats were included in the final analysis. Compared to the control and saline solution groups, the ultrafiltration volume of the peritoneal dialysis and combination groups were obviously decreased (P_(all)< 0.05), especially notably decreased in the combination group (P< 0.05). Compared to the control group end saline solution groups, the peritoneal thickness was significantly elevated in the combination group, but not as much as in the peritoneal dialysis group (P < 0.05). In the long-term peritoneal dialysis rats, administration of benazepril can effectively protect the ultrofiltration function of peritoneum and delay the progression of peritoneal fibrosis.
