BACKGROUND: Bone cement coated by different materials has various characteristics and causes varying therapeutic effects. OBJECTIVE: By comparing characteristics of CPC, CPC/D, and CPC/M/D3 to investigate the preparation of doxorubicin microspheres-coated bone cement. METHODS: Doxorubicin microspheres were prepared with multiple emulsion solvent volatilixation method. Doxorubicin microspheres were mixed with CPC as the ratio of 3:7 to prepare doxorubicin microspheres-coated bone cement. The samples were randomly divided into three groups: CPC group, containing bone cement alone; CPC/D group, containing doxorubicin;CPC/M/D group, containing doxorubicin microspheres. Scanning electron microscope at varying magnification was used to observe structural characteristics and measure the diameter of microspheres. X-ray diffraction was used to estimate the extent of CPC and CPC/M/D samples. The initial and final setting time of cement samples in the three different groups was measured at 25 ℃ and 37℃ respectively. The injectability and interval porosity of different samples were tested. The compressive strength of the specimens was measured using a universal material testing machine to record the maximal compressive strength and breaking strength. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: PLGA microspheres (100-150 μm) were globular and the surface was slick and sly. Micrestructure of bone cement was not obviously changed following mixing with drugs, thus the location and characteristics of drugs in bone cement were not determined. Micrespheres-coated bone cement (100-150 μm) was distributed among CPC powder. All the X-ray diffraction pattern of three different samples was in coincidence with standard X-ray diffraction pattern of hydroxyapatite, i.e., the major peak was located near 32°. Additional drugs and microspheres did not cause new phases. Obvious collapsing was not observed in the three samples following immediately adding in saline, but the collapsing appeared in both CPC/D and CPC/M/D samples after 24 hours. The setting-up time of CPC/M/D was the longest, but that of CPC was the shortest. On the other hand, the setting-up time was the longest at 37℃. The final setting-up time of CPC/M/D group was 45 minutes. The doxorubicin microspheres-coated bone cement showed the best property of injectability among the three kinds of cement. The interval porosity was the highest in the CPC/M/D group but the lowest in the CPC group. Interval porosity of doxorubicin microspheres-coated bone cement was up to 61.67%. The yield stress was the strongest in the CPC group but the weakest in the CPC/M/D group. Additionally, the yield stress of calcium phosphate cement dramatically decreased while doxrorubicin microspheres were coated. However, there was no significant difference between them. The preparation of doxorubicin microspheres-coated bone cement was reliable and the product had good structures and properties.

Objective To study the value of three dimensional dynamic contrast and digital subtraction MRI in diagnosing breast cancer.Methods 52 patients with breast diseases were enrolled in this study,including 27 malignant lesions and 36 benign lesions verified by histopathology.the morphologic features and enhancement kinetics of breast lesion on MRI were observed.The morphologic manifestation,early-phase enhancement rate,peak enhancement rate,peak time and time-signal intensity curve were evaluated.Results The benign lesions were mainly characterized by regular mass,well-defined border,internal septation,homogeneous enhancement,and the malignant lesions by irregular shape,speculated margin,rim enhancement,inhomogeneous enhancement.The early-phase enhancement rate,peak time and curve type were significantly different between breast benign and malignant lesions(P

Objective To discuss the effect of H2 on osteoclast differentiation of RAW264.7 cells induced by RANKL and RANKL/TNF-α.MethodsRAW264.7 cells were treated with H2 in the presence of RANKL and RANKL/TNF-α.RAW264.7 cells viability was assessed by CCK-8.Test the Oxidative Stress of the induced RAW264.7.The number of TRAP-positive cells were counted under light microscopy.The levels of cathepsin K (CTK) and matrix metalloprotein-9(MMP-9) mRNA were analyzed by real-time PCR.ResultsH2 can not influence the RAW264.7 cell viability but can lower oxidative stress.The significant difference(P<0.05) indicated that H2 could significantly decrease the number of TRAP-positive MNCs.The significant difference among the 4 groups in CTK and MMP-9 genes (P<0.05) indicated that H2 could down-regulate their mRNA expression.ConclusionH2 can reduce the oxidative stress and inhibit differentiation of RAW264.7 cells into osteoclasts.

Objectve To study the effect of interaction between ADIPOQ 11377C/G (rs266729) gene polymorphism and physical activity in metabolic syndrome in children. Methods We conducted a case-control study in 114 cases and 114 controls. The genotype of ADIPOQ 11377C/G had been detected in direct sequenc-ing. The effect of interaction between gene polymorphism and physical activity was evaluated by a crossover analysis. Results Efficient physical activity was a protective factor (OR = 0.14); there was interaction between inefficient physical activity and CC genotype of 11377C/G which was a risk factor for metabolic syndrome in children. Conclusion Efficient physical activity can reduce the risk of metabolic syndrome in children. There was interaction between 11377C/G (rs266729) polymorphism and physical activity.

OBJECTIVE: To assess the long-term clinical efficacy of endoscopic surgery of primary sinonasal malignant neoplasms and find out the potential postoperative prognostic factors. METHOD: Forty-three clinical cases of primary sinonasal malignant neoplasms treated under endoscopy were analyzed retrospectively. RESULT: Fifteen patients died. The 1-year, 2-year, 3-year and 5-year survival rates were 83. 7% (36/43), 74. 4% (32/43), 69. 8% (30/43) and 65. 1% (28/43), respectively. Kaplan-Meier single-variable analysis showed that gender, T grade, TNM stage and pathological types of olfactory neuroblastoma were statistically significant prognostic factors (P< 0. 05). COX Pro-Portional hazard models showed that TNM stage was an independent prognostic factors. CONCLUSION Endoscopic surgery for primary sinonasal malignant neoplasms is a safe and effective minimally invasive surgical treatment, and it is an important supplement to the traditional surgery. Gender, T grade, TNM stage and pathological types of olfactory neuroblastoma might be significant prognostic factors.

Objective To investigate the prevalence rate of hyperlipidemia in the middle-aged and elderly in Guangxi Hei Yi Zhuang population. Methods A total of 657 people of Hei Yi Zhuang nationality aged 40 years and over were surveyed. Blood pressure, body height, body weight, serum lipid and apolipoprotein levels were measured, and both body surface areas and body mass index were calculated. The results were compared with those in 520 people of Han nationality who also live in that district. Results The prevalence of hypercholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridemia, and hyperlipidemia in Hei Yi Zhuang vs. Han population were 28.9% vs. 35.8%(P0.05), and 36.2% vs. 42.3%(P0.05) respectively. Conclusions Prevalence of hyperlipidemia of Hei Yi Zhuang is lower than that of Han ethnic group, which might results from different dietary habit, life style, physical activity, and even genetic background.

Objective To analyze the biomechanical characteristics of lumbar fusion by 3 internal fixation methods using three-dimensional (3D) finite element (FE) method. Methods The FE fixation models of physiological L4-5, unfixed fusion L4-5, translaminar facet screw (TLFS), lumbar pedical screw+translaminar facet screw (LPS+TLFS), bilateral pedical screw (BPS) with complete osteotomy or partial osteotomy of facet joint were established, respectively. The biomechanical characteristics of L4 centrum and implants under six motion states (spinal flexion, extension, lateral bending and axial rotation) in L4-5 fusion model and three fixation models were compared by FE analysis. Results The average maximal displacements of L4 centrum in L4-5 unfixed fusion model, TLFS model, TLFS+LPS model, BPS model were 1.410 8, 0.629 8, 0.336 9, 0.252 8 mm (complete osteotomy of facet joint) and 1.296 7, 0.844 9, 0.340 9, 0.273 8 mm (partial osteotomy of facet joint); the average maximal displacements of cage were 0.479 9, 0.319 5, 0.167 6, 0.126 4 mm (complete osteotomy of facet joint) and 0.378 7, 0.348 4, 0.183 5, 0.137 2 mm (partial osteotomy of facet joint)；the average maximum stresses of screws and rods during 6 motions in TLFS model, TLFS+LPS model, BPS model were 178.34, 79.55, 56.33 MPa (complete osteotomy of facet joint) and 142.29, 103.02, 59.69 MPa (partial osteotomy of facet joint). Conclusions In percutaneous transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion, the fixation effect of BPS model was similar to that of LPS+TLFS model. BPS model could achieve the best spinal stability, and LPS+TLFS model was also a good fixation method. The stability of TLFS model alone was relatively poor, but it was still better than that of cage bone graft without internal fixation. In the absence of internal fixation, preservation of the articular process significantly increased stability of the spine.

Objective To investigate high risk human papillomavirus(HR-HPV)prevalence among married women in Beijing and to study the high risk flactors.nethods During March 2007 to September 2008.a total of 6185 married women sampled from 137 communities in 12 districts were screened bv HR-HPV DNA test and cytogical test.The interview was carried out with unified questionnaires.The databage was set up and twice entered in EpiDam 3.0.After checked up,the data were analyzed in SPSS 15.0.Results (1) The HR-HPV infection rate was 9.89%.The HR-HPV infection rate of the city zone,the suburb and the exurb were 9.34%,10.51% and 9.51% (P>0.05).The HR-HPV infection rate of the native and the oudander were 9.53%,11.30% (P<0.05).(2) The age distribution of HR-HPV infection was that the rate was around 10% among 25 to 44 age groups,which was the highest(11.21%) in 30 to 34 age group;then the rate was descended as the age raising,the rate of 50 to 54 age group was the lowest(7.78%).(3) Multiple logistic regression showed that the related risk factors of HR-HPV infection mainly included 1000 RMB and above of family income per person per month.possessing more than 1 sexual partner of her husband,outlander and hish levels of education.(4) The prevalence of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN)in HR-HPV positive group wag significantly higher than that in HR-HPV negative group(29.76% vs 3.32%,P<0.01).Conclusions(1)The HR-HPV infection rate among aged 25 to 54 years was 9.9% and there was no significant difference in area distribution.(2)The hish risk population which should strengthen screening was the married bearing-age women with high level of family income,outlander,high levels of education and her husband possessing more than 1 sexual partner.(3)HR-HPV infection is the main risk factor for CIN and cervical cancer.while does not provide a causal relationship with them.The high risk population should be checked regularly to understand the development of HR-HPV infection and CIN incidence.

COVID-19 is caused by a novel coronavirus-severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus type 2 (SARS-CoV-2), which has being spreading around the world, posing a serious threat to human health and lives. Neutralizing antibodies and small molecule inhibitors for virus replication cycle are the main antiviral treatment for novel coronavirus recommended in China. To further promote the rational use of antiviral therapy in clinical practice, the National Center for Infectious Diseases (Beijing Ditan Hospital Capital Medical University and the First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine) invited experts in fields of infectious diseases, respiratory and intensive care to develop an Expert Consensus on Antiviral Therapy of COVID-19 based on the Diagnosis and Treatment Guideline for COVID-19 ( trial version 10) and experiences in the diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19 in China. The consensus is concise, practical and highly operable, hopefully it would improve the understanding of antiviral therapy for clinicians and provide suggestions for standardized medication in treatment of COVID-19.

cFos is one of the most widely-studied genes in the field of neuroscience. Currently, there is no systematic database focusing on cFos in neuroscience. We developed a curated database-cFos-ANAB-a cFos-based web tool for exploring activated neurons and associated behaviors in rats and mice, comprising 398 brain nuclei and sub-nuclei, and five associated behaviors: pain, fear, feeding, aggression, and sexual behavior. Direct relationships among behaviors and nuclei (even cell types) under specific stimulating conditions were constructed based on cFos expression profiles extracted from original publications. Moreover, overlapping nuclei and sub-nuclei with potentially complex functions among different associated behaviors were emphasized, leading to results serving as important clues to the development of valid hypotheses for exploring as yet unknown circuits. Using the analysis function of cFos-ANAB, multi-layered pictures of networks and their relationships can quickly be explored depending on users' purposes. These features provide a useful tool and good reference for early exploration in neuroscience. The cFos-ANAB database is available at www.cfos-db.net .
