Objective To evaluate changes of RV volume and function in patients with ASD after transcatheter closure of ASD by three-dimensional echocardiography. Methods In 58 patients with ASD (24 men, 34 women; mean age 28.9?17.1, range 4 to 67 years), 23 patients (11 men, 12 women; mean age 25.7?13.3, range 6 to 57 years) were diagnosed as secundum ASD [the stretched diameters of ASD were from 9 to 36 (25.1?7.5) mm], and had successfully received Amplatzer septal occluder (ASO, the sizes of ASO ranged from 11 to 40 mm ). 32 healthy people (18 men, 14 women; mean age 24.8?12.0, range 4 to 45) were matched interms of age and sex as the control group. Physical examination of the nervous system is a very practical clinical skill.Based on our experience,we have found that conventional teaching approaches are not satisfactory in fully enabling medical trainees to master these skills and use them efficiently in clinical settings.Therefore we have developed a novel approach which involves prioritizing and standardizing examination procedures,imposing goal-oriented practices,improving teaching methodology and intensifying repeatitive exercises.This systemic approach has yielded considerable success that is not achievable through conventional teachings.

Objective To study the curative effect of ischemic necrosis of femoral head by interventional thrombolysis.Methods By applying Seldinger's technique,the catheter was guided via arteria femoralis with super-selection into circumflexa femoris medialis,lataralis,and acetabuli to performed the interventional thrombolysis in 50 cases(60sides)with necrosis of femoral head.Results All patients were followed-up for 6~48 months,combined with angiography,the clinical symptoms and the change of bone.The curative effect was evaluated.The ratio of excellent and better effect was 91.4%,the ratio of the improvement of angiography was 87%.the angiography showed that after treatment,the supply artery of femoral head was increased in number;the stained area of femoral head was extended,the capillaries were incereased and the reflux of vein was remarkably improved.The ratio of the improvement of clinical symptom was 96.6%.90% of the necrotic area of femoral head showed hyperplasia,sclerosis,and reduction of cystic changes.Conclusion The interventional therapy by leading to target vascular with thrombolysis in treating necrosis of femoral head has remarkable therapeutic effect.

Objective Evaluate the influence of medical monochrome liquid crystal display (LCD) with different resolutions on the detection of pulmonary nodules.Methods Ninety-three direct digital radiography (DR) chest images were selected on-line from picture archiving and communication system (PACS),including 38 positive,32 suspected and 23 normal cases.All of the images were confirmed by CT.These positive images were divided into group A and B according to the diameter of nodules.Three experienced radiologists blindly read the 93 images using three types of displays with different resolutions.Regarding the presence of nodule,five-point confidence system was used:definitely absent,probably absent,indefinite,probably present and definitely present.All observers marked their confidence levels of each image according to the presence of pulmonary nodule on different displays.Software SPSS 13.0 was employed for statistical analysis.Results In the group-A cases,the areas under ROC curves were 0.643,0.686 and 0.739,and in the group-B cases,those were 0.813,0.832 and 0.846 respectively.There was no difference in the detection efficacy among different radiodiagnostic systems.Conclusion Regardless of post-processing tools,it was equivalent to detect pulmonary nodules with different diameters of Group A or B among medical monochrome LCDs with different resolutions.

Objective To discuss the relation between level of Hs-CRP and glycometabolic disturbance in patients with acute coronary syndrom. Methods 155 patients with acute coronary syndrome were divided into 3 groups according to the WHO standard of diabetes diagnosis,normal glucose tolerance group(group A,44 cases),impaired glucose tolerance group(group B,60 cases),diabetes group(group C,51 cases). All cases were checked by the 75g glucose tolerance test, blood Glucose, insulin, HbA1c,lipid,hypersensitive C reaction protein(hs-CRP). 95 patients were checked by coronary angiography(CAG). Statistic comparison were measured among three groups including the levels of hs-CRP,insulin,HbA1c,lipid and coronary artery lesions. Results The levels of Hs-CRP,PBG, FINS, PINS,HbA1c,TC,LDL-C in both group B and C were higher than those in group A;The levels of TG,PINS were not found significant differences between group B and C. The level of Hs-CRP was correlated with the levels of PBG,PINS,HbA1c,TC,LDL-C. The coronary artery lesions showed by CAG in group B and C were more severe than those in group A,coronary multivessel changes in group B and C were more frequent than in group A,it had no significant difference between group B and C.Conclusion Compared with the patients of normal glucose tolerance, patients with glycometabolic disturbance have higher levels of hs-CRP,their coronary artery lesions are more severe.

Objective To investigate the gene transduction efficiency of lentiviral vector in leukemia cells to provide key basis for leukemia gene therapy. Methods A third-generation self-inactivating(SIN) lentiviral vector system based on human immunodeficiency virus type 1(HIV-1) was used to improve transduction efficiency.The transduction efficiency of the HIV-1-based vector was compared directly with the moloney murine leukemia virus(MLV) SIN vector in human leukemia cell line K562.The expression of green fluorescent protein(GFP) in cells was observed by fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry(FCM) to detect the percentage of gene trasduction cells.Results The GFP expression in K562 cells was observed qualitatively by fluorescence microscopy.At the same gene transduction conditions,the GFP marker gene expression intensity and GFP positive cells in leukemia cells transduced with HIV vectors were significantly higher than those transduced with MLV vectors.Initial transduction efficiencies were almost 100% for the HIV and less than 40% for the MLV vectors. Objective To study pharmacokinetics of curcumin in Curcuma phaeocaulis in rats in vivo.Methods HPLC method was used to determine the curcumin in rat plasma.The conditions were column: Lichrospher-5-C_(18)(250 mm?4.6 mm, 5 ?m); column temperature: 25 ℃;mobile phase: CH_3CN-5% HAc water solution(45∶55);flow: 1 mL/min;detection wavelength: 420 nm.Results The calibration curve was liner(r=0.999 5) at the range of 6.5—104 ?g/mL.The average recovery was 98.5%.RSD was 2.41%(n=5).The pharmacokinetic parameters of curcumin were as follows: k_a was 0.53/h,k_e was 0.10/h,t_(1/2ka) was 1.32 h,t_(1/2k) was 6.89 h,t_(peak) was 3.89 h,C_(max) was 93.15 ng/mL,AUC was(1 369.38) ng/mL.Conclusion This method is stable,simple,and reliable,which can be applied for the determination of curcumin in plasma and pharmacokinetic studies.
