ObjectiveTo study the expression and significance of NDRG1(N-myc downstream regulated gene-1), p53 and VEGF in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). MethodsNDRG1, p53 and VEGF protein were detected by immunohistochemistry (IHC, SP method) in 20 cases of normal esophageal squamous epithelium and 78 cases of ESCC.ResultsThe results of IHC shows that in normal esophageal squamous epithelium and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma,the positive rate of NDRG1 was 100.0 ％(20/20) and 55.1％ (43/78) respectively, p53 was 0 (0/20) and 65.4 ％ (51/78) respectively, VEGF was 30.0 ％(6/20)and 67.9 ％(53/78)respectively,all had statistical significance.There was inverse correlationof NDRG1 expression and lymphatic invasion(r =-0.237,P = 0.036).However expression of NDRG1 was no statistical significance with patient' s age,gender,grade,TNM stage,patient' s five year survival.The expression of p53 was inverse correlated with NDRG1,and the expression of VEGF was inverse correlated with NDRG1 (r =-0.331, P = 0.003). ConclusionNDRG1 may be a new tumor suppress gene and play an important role in the development and metastasis of ESCC.

Objective To explore the application effect of quality control cycle ( QCC ) on the improvement of artificial airway comfort.Methods The QCC was established, and then followed the steps of QCC to analyze man-made reasons and effective airway expectoration reasons.The patients′comfort improved by enhancing airway humidification, timely sputum suction, comfortable position and sleep, then we compared the level of comfort before and after treatment.Results The effective expectoration, airway humidification sputum suction, sleep quality significantly improve (t=-4.278,-27.531,-18.860,-18.212,respectively; P<0.01), and the comfort level increased 39.40%to 81.32%.The attainment rate of objective 120.91%, and the rate of progress 123.16%.Finally, the standardization of nursing procedure had been established, and we set up the nursing quality standard of artificial airway, nursing routine for patients with tracheostomy, and designed integrative tracheostomy nursing cart. Besides, the member of QCC were facilitated their work enthusiasm, personal expression ability, creativity, responsibility and sense of honor.Conclusions The use of QCC on artificial airway management improved the quality of specific nursing, also conducted inventions, and contributes to hospital and society economy.

Autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) is an inflammatory disease of the liver mediated by autoimmune response, and in the diagnosis and treatment of AIH, it is of great importance to accurately assess the progression of liver inflammation, screen out the patients requiring corticosteroid therapy, and evaluate the therapeutic outcome. This article introduces a variety of new noninvasive techniques which have been discovered by clinical and experimental studies in recent years and have the potential to evaluate the progression of AIH, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each technique. It is concluded that the new noninvasive techniques have more advantages in guiding the corticosteroid therapy for AIH, but further clinical studies are still needed for verification.
