AIM:To study the protection and mechanism of Asclepiadaceae against the damage of neuron by free radical. METHODS:The model of ischemia and damaged neuron induced by H 2O 2 was made respectively. The protection of Asclepiadaceae was observed with the measurement of contents of MDA in brain and cultured neuron, transudatory rate of LDH, breaking rate of DNA and clearance rate of?OH in cultured neuron. RESULTS:Asclepiadaceae decreased the raising of MDA in brain induced by ischemia. The raising of transudatory rate of LDH,breaking rate of DNA and content of MDA inducing by H 2O 2 in cultured neuron were also observed. The clearance rate of?OH in cultured neuron increased as the contents of Asclepiadaceae raised. CONCLUSION: The mechanism of Asclepiadaceae protecting the neuron is related to its ability to clean up free radical.

AIM: To investigate the activity of interleukin-1? converting enzyme in transplanted intracerebral rat gliomas under angiotensin II-induced hypertension chemotherapy. METHODS: The brain tumor model was produced in Wistar rats by stereotaxic inoculation of C6 glioma cells (1?10 12 /L). Tumor-bearing rats were treated with carmustine, teniposide and lisplatin (chemotherapy) during angiotensin II-induced hypertension. Then, the survival time of tumor-bearing rats, tumor blood flow, the concentration of drug, volume of gliomas and the activity of interleukin-1? converting enzyme in glioma were examined.RESULTS: The survival time of tumor-bearing rats was significantly longer in chemotherapy with angiotensin II-induced hypertension group than that of chemotherapy alone. In addition, regional tumor blood flow, the concentration of chemotherapeutic drug and the activity of interleukin-1? converting enzyme in transplanted rat gliomas were increased, while the volume of gliomas was decreased in hypertention chemotherapy group compared with chemotherapy alone. CONCLUSION: Chemotherapy with angiotensin II-induced hypertension has a enhancing effect on chemotherapy for improving the drug delivery to tumor tissue by a increased tumor blood flow and enhancing activity of interleukin-1? converting enzyme.

Objective:To explore the potential mechanism of Jiajian Xuezheng Decotion in infiltrative gastric cancer by network pharmacology and proteomics. Methods:The Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database (TCMSP) database was used to find the compounds and their targets of Jiajianxuezhengtang, and the targets of invasive gastric cancer were determined by high performance liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS). The predicted target gene of Jiajian Xuezheng Decotion and the target protein data of infiltrative gastric cancer were analyzed by Venny to obtain the target gene. The target gene set was analyzed by Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment by the David. The protein interaction network diagram (PPI) was obtained by the String method, displaying the prescription-drug-compound-gene network in Cytoscape software.Results:69 active ingredients and 215 drug targets were screened from Jiajian Xuezheng Decotion; 660 proteins were significantly up-expressed in infiltrative gastric cancer, and 10 drug targets and gene targets were the common targets. There were 10 protein nodes in the PPI network, of which 3 core nodes were CASP3, BCL2L1 and STAT1. The 11 KEGG pathways were significantly enriched such as include PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, p53 signaling pathway, proteoglycan in cancer, apoptosis, Jak-STAT signaling pathway and other pathways. Conclusions:Jiajian Xuezheng Decotion plays an anti-infiltrative gastric cancer effect possibly regulated apoptosis through PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, p53 signaling pathway and Jak-STAT signaling pathway. This study provides a theoretical basis for further research on the mechanism of Jiajian Xuezheng Decotion in the treatment of invasive gastric cancer.

Objective:To explore the effects of painting psychology training assisted with antipsychotics on recovery effects of patients with schizophrenia during convalescence. Methods:A total of 160 patients with schizophrenia in Kailuan Mental Health Center from September 2018 to August 2019 during convalescence were randomly divided into painting group and control group, with 80 cases in each group. The control group was treated with antipsychotics, and painting group was given painting psychology training assisted with antipsychotics. At 12 weeks of treatment, the changes of mental symptoms, cognitive function, and intelligence and behaviors were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the positive and negative syndrome scale (PANSS) negative symptom score, general psychopathological symptom score and PANSS total score in painting group were significantly lower than those in control group ( P<0.05), and there was no significant difference in PANSS positive symptom score between the two groups ( P>0.05). The scores of number of persistent responses, number of persistent errors, number of completed classifications, number of correct responses, percentage of conceptual level responses of Wsiconsin card sorting test (WCST) scale were significantly better than those in control group ( P<0.05). The mini-mental state examination (MMSE) score in painting group was significantly higher than that in control group ( P<0.05), and the scores of positive factors of personal cleanliness, social interest and social ability and negative factors of depression, delay, irritability and psychiatric performance of nurse observation scale for inpatient evaluation (NOISE-30) scale were significantly better than those in control group ( P<0.05). Conclusions:Painting psychology training assisted with antipsychotics can significantly improve the negative symptoms of patients with schizophrenia during convalescence, enhance cognitive function, and promote the recovery of intelligence and behaviors of patients.
