Journal of Practical Stomatology 2014;(4):530-534
Objective:To investigate the anatomy of mandibular incisors using microcomputed tomography(Micro-CT).Methods:62 extracted mandibular incisors were selected from dental clinic and observed by Micro-CT.The anatomy of the teeth was analyzed. Results:83.9% of mandibular incisors had a single canal,72.6% had no accessory canal. The location of the apical foramen varied considerably. The mean distance from the root apex to the major lateral apical foramen was (0.613 ±0.298)mm.Of the canals the bucco-lingual diameter were greater than the mesio-distal diameters and the root bucco-lingual canal tapers were greater than the me-sio-distal.Conclusion:The morphology data of mandibular incisors were obtained using Micro-CT.

National Journal of Andrology 2014;20(9):808-811
OBJECTIVETo assess the feasibility and safety of robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (RLRP) in the treatment of prostate cancer.
METHODSUsing the da Vinci robot surgical system, we performed RLRP for 34 patients with localized prostate cancer and analyzed the intraoperative and follow-up data.
RESULTSThe procedures were performed successfully in all the patients, with the mean operation time of 198 min (range 135-340 min), average blood loss of 257 ml (range 50-700 ml), and 1 case of blood transfusion, but no postoperative complications. Three cases had positive surgical margins. Postoperative examination at 4 weeks showed PSA > 0.2 microg/L in 2 cases, suggestive of residual tumor, for which maximal androgen block therapy was administered. The other 32 patients were followed up for 3-10 (mean 7.5) months, during which the average level of serum tPSA remained < 0.2 microg/L. Urinary continence was found in 94% (32/34) and 97% (33/34) of the patients at 3 and 6 months, respectively, of whom 77% (26/34) and 88% (30/34) had no urinary leakage (0 pad per day).
CONCLUSIONRLRP, with its advantages of less perioperative blood loss, low rate of positive margin, and good urinary continence, is a safe and effective surgical option for the treatment of prostate cancer.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2015;32(1):120-125
Human lymphocyte function-associated antigen 3 (hLFA3) has been identified as an important T cell accessory molecule. Rhesus monkeys (Macaca mulatta) have been widely used as animal models for human immune disorders. Due to the species-specificity of immune system, it is necessary to study M. mulatta LFA3 (mmLFA3). In this study, the gene encoding mmLFA3 CD2-binding domain (mmLFA3Sh) was amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and genetically fused to human IgG1 Fc fragment in pPIC9K to construct the expression plasmid pPIC9K-mmLFA3Sh-Ig. Approximately 3-4 mg mmLFA3Sh-Ig protein was recovered from 1 L of inductive media, and mmLFA3Sh-Ig produced by the P. pastoris can bind to the CD2 positive cells, and suppress the monkey and human lymphocytes proliferation induced by Con A and alloantigen in a dose-dependent manner. These results suggested that mmLFA3Sh-Ig might be used as a novel tool for pathogenesis and experimental immunotherapy of Rhesus monkey immune disorders.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2006;12(2):143-144
ObjectiveTo test the effect of visual compensation on balance function of post-stoke hemiplegic patients with the static balancer.Methods50 hemiplegic patients and 40 healthy volunteers were tested with the static balancer. Four sets of data, including load difference of the lower limbs, standard deviation of the balance center, deviation percentage, and average rebalance time under modes with eyes open or closed were collected and analyzed.ResultsThere was a significant difference in load difference of the lower limbs of hemiplegic patients between eyes open and closed modes (P<0.05), and standard deviation of the balance center, deviation percentage, and average rebalance time had more significant difference (P<0.001). There were also significant differences between data of hemiplegic patients and healthy volunteers (P<0.001).ConclusionThe effect of visual compensation on balance function of post-stoke hemiplegic patients can tested by the static balancer objectively and quantificationally.

Objective To provide the basis for clinical diagnosis and treatments of colorectal cancer by studying the clinical characteristics and incidence tendency of colorectal cancer in recent 12 years in Kunming. Methods The data of 1628 colorectal cancer patients from 2001 to 2012 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University were collected. The clinic pathological data of all patients was divided into 2001-2006 (Agroup) and 2007-2012 (B group) two consecutive time periods for statistical analysis according to its time of onset. Results The incidence of colorectal cancer in the city rose from 49.2%to 56.0%, and the incidence of colorectal cancer in rural areas decreased from 50.8%to 44%( <0.05) .The location ratio of colorectal cancer in the rectum decreased from 74.8%to 73.9%, in the left half colon ratio increased from 14.8%to 19%, while the right colon ratio decreased from 10.4% to 7.1% ( < 0.05) . The change in the three parts had statistically significant difference between two consecutive time periods. The percentage of colorectal cancer patients in Dukes A stage rose from 13.4% to 18.8%, while the percentage of patients in Dukes D stage decreased from 22.3% to 14.5% ( <0.01) . Conclusions The incidence of colorectal cancer in Kunming gradually increases. The morbidity in the city is significantly higher than that in the country. The ratio of left half colon cancer is rising, but the ratio of rectal cancer and right half colon cancer is falling. The early diagnosis rate of colorectal cancer is on the rise.

Chinese Journal of Pharmacology and Toxicology 2012;26(1):10-15
OBJECTIVETo evaluate antithrombotic efficacy and preliminary pharmacokinetics of Bg115-2.METHODSProthrombin time (PT) and activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) in vitro were determined using assay kits, respectively. The effect on venous thrombosis was evaluated with the model of inferior sinus venous thrombosis in mice.Bleeding reaction was measured by tail bleeding time test.Preliminary pharmacokinetic study was conducted using FXa activity assay.RESULTSBg115-2 (sc) 0.75 -3.0 mg·kg-1 prolonged PT (P<0.05,P<0.01) and APTT (P < 0.01) dose-dependently. In the inferior sinus venous thrombosis model,Bg115-20.19 - 3.0 mg· kg-1 significantly reduced thrombus mass with ID50 of 0.19 mg· kg-1.Interestingly,Bg115-2 (ig) 1.5 -6.0 mg·kg-1 also significantly reduced venous thrombus mass (P <0.01 ).Bg115-2 was similar to nadroparin calcium in bleeding reaction, and ED2/ID50 reached up to 26.8.Furthermore,Bg115-2 3.0 mg· kg-1 displayed a pharmacokinetic character with a two-compartment model.t1/2,cmax and AUC were (6.18 + 1.45 ) h,(5.20 + 0.66) mg·L-1 and (43.75 +8.20)mg·L-1 ·h,respectively.CONCLUSIONBg115-2 is a potent and oral effective inhibitor of venous thrombosis in mice with slight bleeding side-effect.It has longer t1/2 and the distribution character of a twocompartment model.
