The hospital the authom work with, the first one to undergo the second-cycle nation-wide hospital evaluation, was assessed by a third party and the hospital evaluation experts. The two cycles of hospital evaluation were entirely different in historical background, priorities and procedures. The evaluation standards for the second cycle, which were on a par with internafional ones, set the right track of development for medical institutions, emphasizing quality, security, service and performance and highlighting the delivery of quality patient care. The gains from the second-cycle hospital evaluation can be summarized as follows: more highly emphasized continuous improvement of service quality, enhanced awareness of people-oriented management, reinforced medical quality and medical security control, heightened hospital infection control, greater capability of responding to emergencies, and strengthened for-malation of hospital rules and regulations. In the end five suggestions are put forward with regard to the second-cycle hospital evaluation.

Objective To explore the effects of mild hypothermia (MH) on the nitric oxide (NO) and water content of brain tissues (WBT) in rats with traumatic brain edema (TBE). Methods Fifty-four Wistar rats were divided into a control group (group C), a normithermal traumatic group (NT group) and a mild hypothermia traumatic group (MHT group). The NT and MHT groups were then divided into 4 subgroups for study at 30 min, 2 h, 4 h and 8 h post-trauma. TBE models were established according to Yuan Shaoji′s method. The concentration of NO in the jugular vein was measured using chemical luminescence, and water in the brain tissues was calculated with Elliot′s formula. Results Compared with those in the group C, the concentrations of WBT and NO were significantly increased 30 min post-trauma in the NT group, and reached a peak 8h after trauma. These levels were markedly decreased in the MHT group in comparison with the NT group. Conclusions NO levels might play an important role in the development of TBE, and change synchronously with WBT. TBE could be mitigated by MH, which might promote early rehabilitation of TBE by reducing NO.

Objective: To investigate socialdemological factors,mental stress and dysthymia and their relationship with Cesarean section in normal city primipara.Methods: In a prospective observational study,200 normal city primipara were followed up longitudinally from 36 pregnancy weeks to labor.Their socialdemological factors were recorded,the level of mental stress and dysthymia were measured in late pregnancy by the self-made pregnanced women's questionaires and CES-D,mode of delivery was also recorded.Results: The occurrence rate of dysthymia among normal city pregnanced women was 28%.Age,educational level,family's mensal income,attendance of maternity school,friends and relatives with unfavorable delivery,mental preparation for delivery,relationship with husband and uneasiness about newborns' health were related significantly to the occurrence rate of dysthymia(P

Objective To investigate the plasma visfatin levels and explore the relationship between visfatin and anthropometric parameters,glucose,lipid profile,insulin sensitivity index and insulin secretion index in the subjects with different glucose tolerances.Methods Fifty-three patients with newly diagonosed type 2 diabetes(T2DM),7 subjects with impaired glucose tolerance(IGT)and 35 healthy controls were enrolled.Visfatin levels were measured along with the BMI,blood pressure,lipids,glucose,insulin and HOMA-IR indexes.Results Plasma visfatin levels were elevated in patients with newly diagnosed T2DM compared with IGT group or controls.There was no significant difference in the visfatin levels between IGT group and healthy controls.Plasma visfatin level was positively correlated with glucose levels and HOMA-IR,and negatively correlated with insulin secretion index(HOMA-B).Multiple regression analysis showed that postprandial plasma glucose was independent related factor influencing plasma visfatin levels.In T2DM group,plasma visfatin concentration was positively correlated with HbA1c level.Conclusion The increased plasma visfatin concentration in newly diagnosed and untreated type 2 diabetes mellitus represents a compensatory mechanism aimed at ameliorating the functional consequences of insulin deficiency.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of atorvastatin calcium combined with probucol in the treatment of atherosclerosis. METHODS:A total of 80 patients with atherosclerosis selected from the Affiliated Hospital of Sichuan College of TCM during Jan. 2015-Jan. 2016 were randomly divided into control group and observation group according to random number table,with 40 cases in each group. Control group was given Probucol tablet 0.5 g,every 2 days. Observation group was ad-ditionally given Atorvastatin calcium tablet 20 mg,qd,on the basis of control group. Both groups were treated for consecutive 24 weeks. The levels of blood lipid,arterial plaque size and thickness before and after treatment,life quality score before treatment and 3 months after treatment were observed in 2 groups;and the occurrence of ADR was recorded. RESULTS:Before treatment, there was no statistical significance in blood lipid,arterial plaque size and thickness or life quality score between 2 groups(P>0.05). After treatment,the levels of TC,TG and LDL-C,arterial plaque size and thickness in 2 groups were decreased significant-ly,while HDL-C level and life quality score were increased significantly;the improvement of above indexes in observation group was significantly better than control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in total inci-dence of ADR between observation group(12.50%)and control group(15.00%)(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Atorvastatin calci-um combined with probucol in the treatment of atherosclerosis can reduce blood lipid level and get thrombolysis,and contribute to the recovery of living ability with good safety.

Methods 150 4rd-year students were randomly assigned to four groups and experimental group exposed to 20 radiology cases as well as to a voluntary weekly radiology lecture. Group A used computer-based cases with interactive elements; group B used computer-based cases without interactive elements; group C used paper-based cases with interactive elements; and group D was not exposed to the cases and served as a control group. Objective To evaluate the clinical value of pulmonary embolism severity index (PESI) in non high-risk acute pulmonary thromboembolism (APTE) patients treated with sequential anticoagulation.Methods Non high-risk APTE patients treated with sequential anticoagulation were divided into two groups according to PESI:high-value group and low-value group.Prognosis and treatment response was compared between two groups.Results There were 82 cases in high-value group,and 76 cases in low-value group.The rate of adverse events in high-value group was significantly higher than that in low-value group [23.2％(19/82) vs.7.9％ (6/76)] (x2 =5.0698,P =0.009),and 30 days cumulative hazard was also significantly higher than that in low-value group (P ＜ 0.05).The sensitivity of predicting adverse events by PESI was 76.0％,specificity was 52.6％,positive predicting value was 64.6％,and negative predicting value was 65.9％.The mortality in high-value group was significantly higher than that in low-value group [9.8％(8/82) vs.1.3％ (1/76)] (P =0.022).After 30 days of anticoagulation,the pulmonary artery systolic pressure,internal diameter of right ventricle in high-value group was significantly higher than that in low-value group [(39.4 ± 8.1) mm Hg (1 mm Hg =0.133 kPa) vs.(27.2 ± 5.5) mm Hg,(33.0 ± 7.8) mm vs.(21.7 ± 4.6) mm] (P =0.034,0.021),and arterial oxygen partial pressure was significantly lower than that in low-value group[(75.15 ± 12.41) mm Hg vs.(86.36 ± 9.22) mm Hg](P=0.016).Conclusions PESI can effectively predict short-term prognosis of non high-risk APTE patients treated with sequential anticoagulation.At least some of these patients might need treatment other than sequential anticoagulation.

BACKGROUND:Joint replacement surgery becomes difficult because of the abnormal changes in hip joint, especial y on the acetabular side. Therefore, the treatment on acetabulum is very important during total hip arthroplasty in patients with hip dysplasia. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the clinical therapeutic effects of total hip arthroplasty with onlay bone graft for treatment of CroweIII and IV adult hip dysplasia. METHODS:A total of in 14 patients with adult hip dysplasia were retrospectively analyzed. According to Crowe method, there were 11 cases of type III and 3 cases of type IV. Al patients underwent total hip arthroplasty. Autologous femur neck was used to make an onlay bone graft around the acetabulum during replacement. Radiographs were analyzed after replacement and during fol ow-up. Clinical efficacy was assessed using Harris standard. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Al patients were fol owed up for 1-9 years, averagely 4.5 years. Bone graft was partial y absorbed within 1 year after replacement in 4 patients, and began to grow 2 years later. Radiographs showed that al bone graft was fused to host bone. The average coverage rate of bone grafts on acetabulum was 36%. None hip was needed to be rebuilt up to now. Harris score of hip joint function increased from 35 points (26-52 points) before surgery to 91 points during final fol ow-up. Total hip arthroplasty with onlay bone graft is an effective method in treatment of CroweIII and IV adult hip dysplasia.
