Objective To investigate the effect of muscle fatigue on linear and nonlinear dynamics of sEMG from biceps brachii during maximal voluntary isometric contractions.Method Ten young volunteers subjects performed non-fatiguing isometric contractions with four load levels and fatiguing maximal voluntary isometric contractions.Linear and nonlinear analysis were used to examine the sEMG signals and the changes of sEMG signals when MVC decreased to levels of 80% MVC,70% MVC,60%MVC and 50%MVC compared with the signals of sEMG during non-fatiguing contractions.Result Statistical analyses revealed that AEMG and %DET were significantly higher at fatigue states than those at non fatigue states, while MPF and C(n)were significantly lower than those at non fatigue states. With the development of muscle fatigue,MPF and %DET significantly decreased during maximal effort, while AEMG and %DET stayed stable. The interaction of load level and fatigue state for AEMG,MPF and C(n)were significant. Conclusion MPF and C(n)significantly decrease during maximal voluntary isometric contractions.sEMG dynamics between fatigue state and non-fatigue state is significantly different.

Objective To evaluate the clinicopathological features, treatments and prognostic factors of male breast cancer (MBC) patients. Methods Clinical data of 102 MBC patients with histopathology confirmation at Tianjin Medical University Cancer Hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Results All 102 cases got follow-up.The follow-up rate was 100%.The follow-up period was 3-279 months. The mean follow-up period was 65 months.During the follow-up period, recurrence was found in 21 cases, metastasis occurred in 28 cases (including pulmonary metastasis in 8,osseous metastasis in 7,hepatic metastasis in 9,brain metastasis in 3,and soft tissues and adrenal gland metastasis in 1).The 5-year disease free survival rate was 54.3% and the 5-year overall survival rate was 72.8%.Univariate analysis showed that tumor size, axillary lymph node status,TNM stage, chemotherapy influenced the disease free and overall survival.Multivariate Cox regression shows that axillary lymph node status (P =0.085)was the independent prognostic factor of disease free survival for MBC.Tumor size(P =0.041)and axillary lymph node (P =0.024) status were independent prognostic factors of overall survival for MBC.Conclusions Early diagnosis and comprehensive treatment strategy consisting of radical mastectomy is essential to improve the survival of patients with MBC.

Drug reservation wag investigated in 2077 community residents. We found that most drugs were obtained from the hospitals(83.78%),kept at a relatively lower place(69.23%),packed in box(75.25%),and did not meet the storage requirement(72.60%).Half of the overdue drugs(median time,12 months)were used for internal treatment. This study suggests that there might be unsafe drug storage in communities.

Purpose:
Elevated plasma D-dimer level is a poor prognostic factor for many solid tumors. However, limited research has been conducted on D-dimer in children with neuroblastoma (NB), and its clinical significance remains unclear. The present study investigated the clinical and prognostic significance of D-dimer in pediatric NB patients.
Methods:
A retrospective analysis of all newly admitted NB patients was conducted from January 2014 to December 2020.Baseline clinicopathological features, preoperative laboratory parameters, and follow-up information were collected. Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed to determine the relationship between D-dimer level, clinical features, and the prognostic value.
Results:
Among 266 patients, the median value of D-dimer was 2.98 ng/mL, of which 132 patients showed elevated D-dimer levels before surgery (>2.98 ng/mL). Univariate analysis revealed that elevated D-dimer was significantly associated with age, hemoglobin, neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio, neuron-specific enolase, 24-hour vanillylmandelic acid, overall survival, and so on (P < 0.05). Patients with elevated D-dimer levels had shorter median overall survival time when compared with normal D-dimer levels (P = 0.01). The prognosis was better in patients with normal D-dimer levels when combined with lower age, ganglioneuroblastoma tumor type, lower stage on International Neuroblastoma Staging System, low-risk group, and without bone metastasis or bone marrow metastasis. The continuous increase of D-dimer level after treatment indicated tumor recurrence or progression.
Conclusion
A high D-dimer level is associated with low overall survival, and an elevated D-dimer level after treatment indicates tumor recurrence and progression. D-dimer can be used as one of the evaluation factors for NB treatment or prognosis.

AIM:To evaluate the recovery about the visual cortex function of stereopsis in anisometropic amblyopia after regular amblyopia treatment 6, 12 and 18mo with blood oxygenation level dependent - function magnetic resonance imaging techniques ( BOLD-fMRI) .
METHODS: In this study, self-controlled study before and after treatment was used, and blocks-designed fMRI was performed on 11 children which was the first phase of research for amblyopic treatment. Functional MRI data were processed by using SPM8 which based on the Matlab 7. 12. 0. 635. Through the hypothesis drive method, the differences range of activated area in each group were compared by before and after amblyopia treatment matched t-test.
RESULTS: The functional area that was left occipital lobe (BA18), middle occipital gyrus (BA19), limbic lobe (BA19), lingualis gyrus of the right occipital lobe (BA17) and the bilateral parietal lobe ( BA7 ) expanded after amblyopia treatment 6, 12mo, compared those treatment phase, mean t value was 1. 5762, 1. 6856 respectively (P<0. 001). However, the difference of activated intensity was lower after 18mo, mean t value was 1. 1473 (0. 001
CONCLUSION: In children anisometropic amblyopia, the speed of function reconstruction about visual cortical functional mediating stereopsis increase slowly after amblyopia treatment 1a.

Objective To investigate the treatment outcome of patients with localized soft tissue sarcoma (STS) and related prognostic factors, with a focus of the role of postoperative radiotherapy in the treatment of STS.Methods A retrospective analysis was performed for the clinical data of 203 STS patients who underwent organ preservation surgery in Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center from July 2000 to July 2010.Of all the patients,76(37.4%) received adjuvant radiotherapy, which was delivered via anterior-posterior parallel opposed fields at a dose of 45-70 Gy.The Kaplan-Meier method was used to calculate survival rates, the log-rank test was used for survival difference analysis, and the Cox proportional hazards model was used for multivariate analysis. Results The follow-up rate was 100%.The 5-year overall survival (OS) rate, local failure-free survival rate, and distant metastasis-free survival rate were 69.1%,69.2%,and 68.0%,respectively.The multivariate analysis showed that pathological subtype, tumor size, resection margin status, and postoperative radiotherapy were influencing factors for OS.Among these factors, postoperative radiotherapy was associated with a significantly reduced risk of local recurrence in STS patients (HR=0.327,95% CI 0.177-0.605,P=0.000) and a significantly increased OS rate (HR=0.489,95% CI 0.266-0.897,P=0.021).Conclusions Postoperative radiotherapy can reduce local recurrence and improve OS in patients with localized STS,and further studies are needed to clarify its role.
