2.Observation of metastasis of colon adenocarcinoma Iovo cells in vitro under laser scanning confocal microscope
International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2009;32(6):341-343
Objective To explore the feasibility of applying laser scanning confocal microscopy to investigate the metastatic characteristic of tumor cells in vitro. Methods The confocal microscope combined with transwell assay was employed to observe the invasion and migration of the metastatic colon cancer ]ovo cells when stimulated by IL-8. Results The results show that the number of invasive lovo cells in the stimulated group was much higher than the unstimulated group (P<0.05). The migration way of lovo cells observed under the confocal microscopy was ameba like movement. These findings suggest that the metastatic ability of lovo cells stimulated by IL-8 was enhanced. Conclusion The metastatic characteristic of colon adenocarcinoma lovo cells is similar to the chemotactic movement of leukocytes.
3.Dietary cholesterol and risk of cardiovascular diseases
Chinese Journal of Health Management 2017;11(2):183-188
Cholesterol is an essential nutrient for human body.Dietary cholesterol comes from animal sources, including eggs, pork and others.A number of epidemiological and experimental studies showed that too much intake of cholesterol or consumption of more than 1 egg per day would slightly elevate blood cholesterol level. Results of studies in different areas and populations suggested that there is a lack of sufficient evidence to support the association between cholesterol intakes or egg consumption and cardiovascular disease incidence or deaths.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(06):-
In this study,we observed that PGE2 3?10-7~3?10-6 mol/L & nifedipine 1 ?10-5mol/L inhibited lymphocyte proliferation markedly. The effect of nifedipine was completely reversible, however the effects of PGE2(3 ?10-6mol/L)was only partly reversible .In combination of PGE2(3?10-8mol/L) with nifedipine (1 ?10-6mol/L) ,the effect was additive,no significant antagonism and synergism were observed .PGE26? 10-6mol/L and nifedipine 1?10-3 mol/L directly inhibited maerbphage migration but no significant effect on PHA-induced MIF .Preincuba-tation with nefidipine did not influonce macrophage phagocytosis, but PGE2 slightly enhanced it. The results stated above strongly suggests that PGE2 may regulate cells interaction and Ca2+ is required during lymphocyte proliferation.

Chinese Medical Ethics 1994;0(06):-
The object of medical research is human life, thus the understanding level of human being determines medical mode and the development of medical science. The origin of Marx's theory on human being is the realistic human, which provides methodological basis for reflecting on the biomedical faults from a logical perspective.Marx held that technology is the objectization of the essential power of human being, while technology under the context of capitalist production relations has been turned into certain means to control workers.Tend of dissimilation also arises in some modern medical fields, thus serious reflection and criticism are in great need. The overall development of human being is the core content in Marx's theory on human being.Since modern medicine is during the transition from bio-medical model to bio-psycho-social medial model, the new medical model calls for an overall development of main body in all aspects including qualification, ability, and social relations, etc.

Chinese Journal of Organ Transplantation 2001;22(3):161-163
Objective To study the viability and histological change of encapsulated rat hepatocytes after being transplanted into abdominal cavity of rat. Methods The two-step collagenase perfusing method was used to separate hepatocytes from Wistar rat liver. The separated hepatocytes were purified with Percoll density gradient centrifugation and encapsulated by the alginate-barium method. Then the purified hepatocytes were transplanted into abdominal cavity of SD rats (group 1) and the encapsulated hepatocytes were transplanted into abdominal cavity of SD rats (group 2) and Wistar rats (group 3). At different time points post-transplantation, trypan blue stain exclusion was used to determine the viability of recovered hepatocytes. The histological changes of transplanted microencapsulated hepatocytes was examined using HE stain. Results Twenty-four h after transplantation, the viability of hepatocytes between group 1 and group 2 showed significant difference (P<0.01), but there was no significant difference between group 2 and group 3 (P>0.05). At day 4 and day 7 after transplantation, the viability of hepatocytes showed significant difference between group 1 and group 2, and group 2 and group 3 (P<0.01). At day 14 after transplantation, no significant difference was found in the viability of hepatocytes between group 2 and group 3 (P>0.05). From day 4 post-transplantation, fibrosis overgrowth was found around some microencapsules, and it was more obvious in group 2 than in group 3. Conclusions Microencapsulation can provide protection to transplanted hepatocytes from host immunorejection, and thus increase the viability of hepatocytes post transplantation. The existence of inadequately encapsulated microencapsule cause the fibrosis overgrowth around these capsules, resulting in ischemia and subsequent necrosis of the hepatocytes and decreasing hepatocyte viability.

Journal of Environment and Health 1993;0(01):-
Objective To study the combined effect of chlorotoluron and atrazine on the testis of mice. Methods Kunming mice were divided into groups and treated with chlorotoluron and atrazine alone or in combination by gavage at different doses for 25 consecutive days. Microscope and electron microscope were used to observe the morphological changes. Results The herbicides used alone or in combination, at all the test doses, caused the morphological changes in degrees in the testis. Under the light microscope, seminiferous epithelium arrayed loosely and disorderedly, spermatogenic cell shed, and layers lessened compared with the control group. Under the electron microscope, mitochondria in the seminiferous epithelium appeared vacuolated, karyotheca swelled, bent and the function of sustentacular cell declined. Compared with alone use groups, the pathological changes were more serious in combination use groups. Conclusion Chlorotoluron and atrazine can produce a combined toxic effect on the testis of mice.
