AlM:To study the refractive status characteristics aftser cataract surgery and the correlation between preoperative anterior chamber depth ( ACD) and refractive status.METHODS: Ninety-six cases of patients with cataract were randomly divided into two groups. The patients in phacoemulsification group were treated with phacoemulsification combined intraocular lens ( lOL ) implantation while the patients in small incision group were treated by small incision extracapsular cataract extraction combined with lOL implantation. Changes in ACD and postoperative refractive status and refractive fully corrected value were counted and the correlation of them were analyzed .RESULTS: ACD of the phacoemulsification group s deepened 0. 74mm while that of the small incision group deepened 0. 78mm after treatment and there was no significant difference (P>0. 05). After operation, the ACD of two groups significantly deepened ( P<0. 05 ). The postoperative visual acuity of two groups were significantly better than the uncorrected visual acuity of two groups (P<0. 05). The postoperative refraction of two groups patients were mainly 0 ~ +1. 0D ( 41. 67% and 54. 16%) and+1. 25~+2. 0D (43. 75% and 33. 33%) (P>0. 05). CONCLUSlON: ACD is significant deepened after operation. Surgeon needs full consideration of changes to improve the refractive lOL calculation accuracy.

Objective To summarize the characteristics of tremor peak frequency,power and harmonics occurrence rate between Parkinson's disease (PD) and multiple system atrophy-parkinsonism (MSA-P).Methods From January to December in 2016,48 PD patients and 22 MSA-P patients were enrolled in Beijing Tiantan Hospital.Upper limb tremor patients got tremor analysis test in rest,posture and holding 1 000 g states,while lower limb tremor patients in rest and posture states.Peak frequency,power and harmonics occurrence rate of tremor were compared between PD and MSA-P patients in different states.Results Peak frequency of PD and MSA-P patients in upper rest ((4.76± 0.82) Hz vs (6.03 ± 0.25)Hz,t=-2.161,P=0.037),posture ((5.25 ±0.88) Hz vs (7.66 ±1.90) Hz,t=-4.266,P=0.001),holding 1 000 g ((5.80 ± 1.28) Hz vs (8.32 ± 1.51) Hz,t =-6.436,P =0.000) and lower posture ((4.85 ±0.78) Hz vs (6.42 ± 1.13) Hz,t =-3.001,P =0.012) showed statistically significant difference.Half-width power of PD and MSA-P patients in upper rest (extensor:15.70 (5.82,32.96)mg2/μV2 vs 3.14 (1.69,4.60) mg2/μV2,Z =-2.008,P =0.037),in posture (extensor:33.14(20.46,64.27) mg2/μV2 vs 10.02 (7.11,14.60) mg2/μV2,Z =-3.627,P =0.000;flexor:27.49(9.48,41.74) mg2/μV2 vs 5.97 (4.41,15.59) mg2/μV2,Z =-2.336,P =0.019),in holding 1 000g (flexor:17.80 (9.40,36.60) mg2/μV2vs8.15 (5.32,17.65) mg2/μV2,Z=-2.494,P=0.013),and in lower posture (flexor:26.63(7.09,85.84) mg2/μV2 vs 3.78 (2.51,7.12) mg2/μμV2,Z=-2.049,P =0.045) showed statistically significant difference.Harmonics occurrence rate of PD and MSAP patients in rest (82.5％ vs 5.9％,χ2 =29.096,P =0.000),posture (80.0％ vs 5.9％,χ2 =26.884,P=0.000) and holding 1 000 g (65.0％ vs 0,χ2 =20.318,P=0.000) had statistically significant difference.Conclusions Tremor peak frequency in PD patients was lower than that in MSA-P patients,while power and harmonics occurrence rate in PD patients were higher than in MSA-P patients.

Objective: To analyze the processing situation of 124 batches of scorpions and optimize the salt-water processing.Methods: The character, extract, moisture, total ash, acid insoluble ash, amino acids content and heavy metals in the marketed scorpions were determined.Using extract and amino acids contents as the indices, the salt-water processing was optimized.Results: The results of the above determinations showed that the quality difference was very obvious for the marketed scorpion, and the extract and amino acids contents were the highest in scorpion boiled in 2% sodium chloride aqueous solution for 5 min.Conclusion: The item of extract test should be revised in the current standard, and the items such as moisture, total ash, acid insoluble ash, amino acids content and heavy metals should be taken into consideration in order to control the quality of scorpion more comprehensively.The best salt-water processing of scorpion is boiled in 2% sodium chloride aqueous solution for 5 min.

Objective To investigate the effects of alcohol extract of bark and male flower of Eucommia ulmoides Oliv. on airway allergic inflammation induced by chicken ovalbumin (OVA) in mice; To explore its mechanism of action. Methods On day 0, day 7, mice were intraperitoneally injected OVA for sensitization, followed by nasal stimulation for 21 days to establish airway allergic inflammation mice models. The mice were divided into normal group, model group, alcohol extract of bark of Eucommia ulmoides Oliv. group, alcohol extract of male flower of Eucommia ulmoides Oliv.group,and Dexamethasone group.Each medication group was given relevant medicine for gavage. The lung tissue was embedded in HE and PAS dyeing, to observe the pathological changes of bronchus and surrounding lung. The levels of serum OVA-IgE, IL-4, IFN-γ and IL-13 were measured by ELISA. The expression of ICAM-1, VEGF, MMP9 and TIMP1 were detected by immunohistochemistry. Flow cytometry was used to detect the expression of Th17 cells in peripheral blood. The expressions of TNF-α and IL-6 mRNA in lung tissue were detected by RT-PCR. Results The model group showed changes of airway allergic inflammatory such as eosinophils and other inflammatory cell infiltration, bronchial spasm, and mucus secretion. Lung histopathology in alcohol extract of bark and male flower of Eucommia ulmoides Oliv.groups was improved significantly(P<0.05).Compared with the normal group, the levels of serum OVA-IgE, IL-4 and IL-13 increased in model group, while the level of IFN-γ decreased (P<0.05, P<0.01). The expressions of ICAM-1, VEGF and MMP9 increased, while the expression of TIMP1 decreased (P<0.01); peripheral blood IL-17+cells increased (P<0.01); the expressions of TNF-α and IL-6 mRNA increased. Compared with the model group, the levels of serum OVA-IgE, IL-4 and IL-13 decreased in alcohol extract of bark and male flower of Eucommia ulmoides Oliv. groups (P<0.05, P<0.01); the expressions of ICAM-1 and VEGF decreased (P<0.05, P<0.01); the expression of TIMP1 increased. Alcohol extract of bark and male flower of Eucommia ulmoides Oliv.could down-regulate IL-17+cells,reduce the expression of IL-6 mRNA(P<0.05,P<0.01). Alcohol extract of bark of Eucommia ulmoides Oliv. group could induce the secretion of IFN-γ (P<0.01), and down-regulate the expression of TNF-α mRNA(P<0.05).Alcohol extract of male flower of Eucommia ulmoides Oliv. group could significantly down-regulate the expression of MMP9 (P<0.05). Conclusion Alcohol extract of bark and male flower of Eucommia ulmoides Oliv.can induce the production of OVA-IgE,inhibit secretion of Th2 cytokines, inhibit the expression of adhesion molecules, depress Th17 cells, so as to inhibit the airway allergic inflammation.

Corneal astigmatism includes anterior astigmatism (AA) and posterior astigmatism (PA).According to the hterature,85.0％-96.1％ PA ranging from-0.01 to-1.10 D refers to astigmatism against the rule.With the age increasing,PA shows a significant trend from astigmatism against the rule to with the rule,while AA shows toward against-the-rule astigmatism.Therefore,PA often leads to partially decrease of total astigmatism (TA) in young adults,but the increase of TA in aged elderly.Clinically,ignorance of PA will lead to a false estimate of TA,thereby affecting visual quality after refractive cataract surgery.And this article aims to introduce the measurement of PA and its clinical significance for providing the reference in clinical practices.

OBJECTIVETo study the expression of the Trp-p8 protein in the prostate tissue of the PSA "grey zone" with different PSA density of the transition zone (PSADTZ) and explore the value of determining Trp-p8 expression and PSADTZ in the early diagnosis of prostate cancer (PCa).

METHODSThis study involved 30 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and another 30 cases of PCa with different PSADTZ values. Using a data imaging and analysis system, we determined the expression levels of Trp-p8 in BPH and PCa tissues and analyzed their correlation with PSADTZ.

RESULTSThe expression of Trp-p8 was weak or negative in the BPH but strong in the PCa tissue and even stronger in the PCa tissue with high PSADTZ (F = 34. 05, P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONThe Trp-p8 protein is expressed differently in BPH and PCa tissues of the PSA " grey zone" and its expression is positively correlated with PSADTZ. Determination of the Trp-p8 expression and PSADTZ contributes to the early diagnosis of prostate cancer.

BACKGROUND:Significant increasing of intercel ular adhesion molecule 1 expression can promote the occurrence of inflammatory response and increase brain tissue injury.
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of eye acupuncture point and non-point therapy on intercel ular adhesion molecule 1 expression in rat hippocampus of acute cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury model.
METHODS:Forty Sprague Dawley rats were divided into normal group, sham-operation group, model group, eye acupuncture point group and eye acupuncture non-point group. Rats in the model group, eye acupuncture point group and eye acupuncture non-point group were used to establish the acute cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury model with suture method, the suture was deep for 1.8-2.2 cm. In the eye acupuncture point group, the acupuncture points of hepatic region, upper energizer area, lower energizer area and kidney area were selected when cerebral ischemia-reperfusion occurred immediately and 30 minutes before drawing materials, then horizontal needling the acupuncture points around the orbit for 20 minutes. In the eye acupuncture non-point group, the puncture site was selected at 3 mm away from eye acupuncture non-point area, and then needled the puncture site with the same method in the eye acupuncture point group.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:After eye acupuncture point therapy, the neurological deficit scores were decreased, and the intercel ular adhesion molecule 1 expression in rat hippocampus was significantly decreased (P<0.01). After eye acupuncture non-point therapy, there were no significant changes in neurological deficit scores and the expression of intercel ular adhesion molecule 1 protein and mRNA in rat hippocampus. The results indicate that eye acupuncture can significantly improve the rat cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury, and the mechanism may relate with reducing the intercel ular adhesion molecule 1 expression in rat hippocampus.
