2.The Current Status and Influence Factors of Indoor Air Pollution in Urban Area in Beijing

Objective To investigate the current status of the indoor air pollution in urban area in Beijing and find the influence factors for the concentrations of formaldehyde and nitrogen oxides (NOx) indoors. Methods 463 persons were chosen randomly from Xicheng district of Beijing to complete the questionnaires about their indoor environment condition. The levels of formaldehyde and NOx were monitored in the bedrooms and the kitchens of 91 households. And we used the multi-regression model to find out some influence factors that related to formaldehyde and NOx concentration. Results The average daily concentration of formaldehyde in the bedrooms was about 0.049 mg/m3 and the rate of excess standard was 13%. The formaldehyde pollution in the decorated rooms (0.058 mg/m3) was more serious than that in the control rooms (0.034 mg/m3) and there was statistically significant difference between them (P
4.Lamivudine antiviral treatment after radical surgery prolongs disease-free survival of patients with hepatitis B virus-related liver cancer

Objective To investigate whether lamivudine antiviral treatment after radical surgery can prolong disease-free survival of patients with hepatitis B virus-related liver cancer.Methods A total of 120 patients with hepatitis B virus-related liver cancer who underwent conventional radical surgery in Dongfeng Hospital Affiliated to Hubei Medical College from March 2014 to March 2016 were enrolled,and among these patients,60 were given conventional treatment (group A) and 60 were given lamivudine antiviral treatment (group B).ELISA was used to measure serum HBV DNA level.The t-test was used for comparison of continuous data between groups,the chi-square test was used for comparison of categorical data between groups,the Kaplan-Meier method was used to compare disease-free survival rate and recurrence rate between groups,and the Spearman method was used to investigate the correlation between serum HBV DNA level and survival time.Results According to the results of the 3-year follow-up,71 patients (59.17%) died (group A:46 patients died of tumor and 4 died of hepatic encephalopathy;group B:20 died of tumor and 1 died of hepatic encephalopathy).Compared with group A,group B had significantly lower recurrence rate (48.33% vs 90.00%,x2 =16.98,P <0.001) and mortality rate within 3 years (35.00% vs 83.33%,x2 =10.34,P < 0.001).Group B had significantly higher mean disease-free survival time and 1-,2-,and 3-year dis-ease-free survival rates than group A(t =9.82,x2 =7.87,11.43,and 7.98,all P < 0.001).After surgery,group B had a significantly lower serum HBV DNA load than group A [(0.008 1 ±0.003 2) × 105 copies/ml vs (0.014 3 ±0.008 9) × 105 copies/ml,t =18.54,P < 0.001].In group A,there were significant differences in 1-,2-,and 3-year disease-free survival rates between patients with serum HBV DNA load ≥ 1.0 × 105 copies/ml and those with serum HBV DNA load < 1.0 × 105 copies/ml (x2 =8.57,P < 0.05),and further analysis showed that there were significant differences in 1-,2-,and 3-year disease-free survival rates (x2 =4.36,5.36,and 9.53,P < 0.05);in group B,there were no significant differences in 1-,2-,and 3-year disease-free survival rates between these two groups of patients (P > 0.05).Serum HBV DNA expression was positively correlated with patients' survival time (r =0.67,P < 0.001).Conclusion Lamivudine antiviral therapy after radical surgery can effectively reduce serum HBV DNA level,and helps to prolong the disease-free survival time of patients with hepatitis B virus-related liver cancer.
5.Interpretation of standards on training and evaluation of urine analyzers in grass-roots medical unit

Objective To analyze the training and evaluation standards on urine analyzers in the grass-roots medical unit.Methods The applicability,requirements,subject setup and items of the standards as well as the requirements of evaluation scoring chart were expounded in detail,and the related elementary knowledge was analyzed including the structure,working principle,installation and adjustment,operation,application,maintenance and etc of the analyzer.Combined personnel with the equipment was suggested to ensure the accuracy and high efficiency of the test result.Results The interpretation of the standards contributed to enhancing the quality of medical equipment training and the ability of practical support,and facilitated the examiner to perform annual evaluation with the scoring chart.Conclusion It is necessary to grasp accurately the connotation of the standards,to improve the quality of medical equipment training and to enhance combat support capability for the grass-roots medical unit and examiner.
6.Study on conflict management styles of head-nurses in Shanghai

Objective This study is to understand the interpersonal conflict management styles of head nurses and its related factors. Methods A cross- sectional survey was conducted in 440 head nurses in Shanghai Hospital, using"personal information table"and the "Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory- Ⅱ"as the tools for data collection. Results When dealing with conflicts, "integrating"is the most commonly used approach of head nurses, while "dominating"the least used one. Age, education, work experience and other factors were statistically significant with the conflict management styles head nurses used. Conclusions The most commonly used conflict management style of head nurses tends to a winwin way. Age, education, work experience and other factors can affect the ways of managing conflict.

8.Protective effects of carvedilol on oxidative stress injury induced by hydrogen peroxide in vascular endothelial cells

Aim To observe the influence of carvedilol on the injury and expression of intercellular adhesion molecule-1 induced by hydrogen peroxide in ECV-304 cells and investigate the anti-atherosclerotic effect of carvedilol.Methods: The viability of ECV-304 cells was detected by MTT assay.Morphological changes of ECV-304 cells were observed under converse microscope.The level of lactate dehydrogenase released to the extracellular medium,the intracellular superoxide dismutase activity and the extracellular and intracellular Malondialdelyde level were determined using automatic biochemistry analyser.The expression of ICAM-1 in protein level and mRNA level was detected with flow cytometric technique and RT-PCR.Results Pretreated with carvidilol(1.0?10~(-5)~1.0?10~(-9)mol?L~(-1)) for 24 h,the cell survival rate was increased significantly in a concentration-dependent manner.Pre-incubation for 24 h with carvedilol results in a significant concentration-dependent decline of LDH release from hydrogen peroxide(1.0?10~(-6)mol?L~(-1))injured cells.While ECV-304 cells were pre-incubated with carvedilol,the level of MDA decreased and the activity of SOD increased significantly.Carvedilol produced a concentration-dependent inhibition of the expression of ICAM-1 protein and mRNA in hydrogen peroxide injured ECV-304 cells in a similar manner.Conclusion: These experiments demonstrated that carvedilol was able to protect ECV-304 cells from the oxidative stress injury and inhibit ICAM-1expression in ECV-304 cells induced by hydrogen peroxide.Therefore,we can consider that carvedilol maintains and improves the function of endothelium damaged by hydrogen peroxide from many aspects,which does indicate extensive antioxidant effects on the hydrogen peroxide-injured vascular endothelial cells and suggest promising effects in atherogenesis process.
9.Immunophenotypic Features of NK/T Cell Lymphoma in Children and Its Association with Epstein-Barr Virus

Objective To study the immunophenotypic features of NK/T cell lymphoma in children and its association with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. Methods Five cases of children′s NK/T cell lymphoma were studied. CD45RO, CD3?, CD56, CD20, TIA-1 and granzyme B were detected by immunohistochemistry staining for investigating immunophenotype. The expression of EBV-latent membrane protein (LMP-1) were detected by immunohistochemistry. EBV-encoded RNA (EBER1/2) were detected by in situ hybridization (ISH). Results CD45RO, CD3?, TIA-1 and granzyme B were positive in 5 cases, CD56 was positive in 2 cases, while CD20 negative in 5 cases.EBER1/2 positive in 4 cases and LMP-1 positive in 3 cases.Conclusions NK/T cell lymphoma in children is strong associated with EBV infection,and EBV infection may play an important role in the pathogenesis of children NK/T cell lymphoma.
10.Whole course accelerated hyperfractionation radiotherapy for esophageal carcinoma

Objective To compare the treatment effects and toxicity of convention fractionation ra- diotherapy(CFR),late course accelerated hyperfractionafion radiotherapy(LCAFR) and whole course accel- erated hyperfractionation radiotherapy(WCAFR) for patients with middle or low thoracic esophageal moder- ately differentiated squamous cell carcinoma.Methods Ninety patients with middle or low thoratic esoph- ageal carcinoma were divided into three groups:1.CFR group,patients were irradiated 2.0 Gy/f,5 times a week,to a total dose of 70 Gy;2.LCAFR group,patients were first irradiated with CFR to 40 Gy,then fol- lowed by 1.5 Gy/f bid,at more than 6 hoursinterval,5 times a week,to a total dose of 70 Gy;3.WCAFR group,patients were irradiated 1.5 Gy/f bid,at more than 6 hoursinterval,5 times a week,to a total dose of 72 Gy.Results The 1-,2-,3-year local control rate was 47%,17% and 0% in CFR group,60%,20% and 20% in LCAFR group,60%,40% and 33% in WCAFR group,respectively.The 1-,2-,3-year survival rate was 47%,20% and 10% in CFR group,63%,43% and 17% in LCAFR group,and 63% ,50% and 33% in WCAFR group,respectively.There were better results in the latter two groups(P<0.01).The a- cute toxic effect was severer in the WCAHF and LCAF groups than in CF group.Highter grade 2-3 acute esophagitis rate was observed both in WCAHF and LCAF groups.There were no significant differences in late esophagitis rate between the three groups.The grade 1-2 acute radiation pneumonitis rates were higher in WCAHF group than in LCAF and CF groups.One patient died of radiation pneumonitis in WCAHF group. Conclusions Whole course accelerated hyperfractionation radiotherapy can significantly improve the local control rates and the 1-and 2-year survival rates of esophageal cancer,but can also increase the toxicity.
