Objective To establish the model of traumatic brain injury in rats with controlled cortical impact (CCI), and investigate the features of coma and cognition. Methods 40 male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into control group (n=10), sham group (n= 10) and CCI group (n=20). CCI group was impacted at bilateral frontal lobe with the velocity of 3.5 m/s, depth of 7 mm and dwell time of 250 ms. The time of consciousness loss was recorded, and all the rats were investigated with Morris Water Maze 10 and 20 days after operation. Results The time of consciousness loss was longer in the CCI group than in the control group and the sham group (P<0.001). The escape latency was longer in the CCI group than in the control group and the sham group (P<0.001), while the percent of time spend in goal quarter during probe trial was less (P<0.001), both 10 days and 20 days after operation. Conclusion CCI at bilateral frontal lobe of rats can establish the model of severe traumatic brain injury with coma and long-term cognitive dysfunction.
2.Treatment of the toes movement on hemiplegia patients affected limb
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2004;10(11):713-714
ObjectiveTo expose the effects of toes movement treating on the improvement of motor function of the patient s' affected lower limb.Methods36 patients with hemiplegia were divided into twe groups,22 patients for treating group in which toes treatment was applied, and 14 patients for comparative group in which no toes treatment was applied. After two months treatment, the effect was judged using Japanese Motor Function Test.Results22 patients in the treating group had gotten level 8 or higher (100%), while 7 patients in the comparative group had gotten that(50%).ConclusionToes movement treating is important in the recovery of functional movement of the hemiplegia patients.

Objective To investigate the plasma visfatin levels and explore the relationship between visfatin and anthropometric parameters, glucose, lipid profile, insulin sensitivity index and insulin secretion index in the subjects with different glucose tolerances. Methods Fifty-three patients with newly diagonosed type 2 diabetes(T2DM),7 subjects with impaired glucose tolerance(IGT)and 35 healthy controls were enrolled.Visfatin levels were measured along with the BMI,blood pressure, lipids, glucose, insulin and HOMA-IR indexes. Results Plasma visfatin levels were elevated in patients with newly diagnosed T2DM compared with IGT group or controls. There was no significant difference in the visfatin levels between IGT group and healthy controls.Plasma visfatin level was positively correlated with glucose levels and HOMA-IR,and negatively correlated with insulin secretion index(HOMA-B).Multiple regression analysis showed that postprandial plasma glucose was independent related factor influencing plasma visfatin levels. In T2DM group, plasma visfatin concentration was positively correlated with HbA1c level. Conclusion The increased plasma visfatin concentration in newly diagnosed and untreated type 2 diabetes mellitus represents a compensatory mechanism aimed at ameliorating the functional consequences of insulin deficiency.

Objective To study the clinical value of rapid prototyping oriented template for total hip replacement in patients with adult developmental dysplasia of the hip .Methods Totally 51 cases with adult developmental dysplasia of the hip who were admitted into our hos -pital from January 2014 to March 2015 were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group .The observation group were treated by total hip arthroplasty assisted with rapid prototyping oriented template , while the control group were treated with traditional surgical method for total hip replacement. The curative effect, operation time, amount of bleeding, hospitalization time and satisfaction rate were compared between the two groups .Results The operation time , intraoperative blood loss and length of hospital stay of the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group , and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01).The Harris hip function score and satisfaction rate of the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group with statistically significant differ -ences (P<0.05).Conclusion Total hip arthroplasty assisted with rapid prototyping oriented template could shorten the operation time , re-duce the intraoperative blood loss , cut down the hospitalization time , quicken the hip joint function recovery , and improve the satisfaction rate of patients .

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(19):-
ABCB11 gene encodes bile salt export pump (BSEP).It is almost exclusively expressed in the canalicular microvilli of liver. It is the principal conveyor of bile acids from hepatocyte cytoplasm into bile canaliculus. It is clearly that BSEP defects can induce progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis type 2 and benign recurrent intrahepatic cholestasis type 2.ABCB11 gene variation are also responsible for intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy,drug-induced cholestasis, primary sclerosis cholangitis and primary bile cirrhosis. This paper reviewed the association of ABCB11 gene variation and these diseases.

Benign symmetric lipomatosis is a rare disease and may appear as a huge tumor in the neck. Four benign symmetric lipomatosis associated with gigantic painless mass or neck motion limitation were reported. Operative technique of one-time radical resection or stage resection was used to remove these tumors. One patient had a postoperative complication of incision effusion and infection, and three patients had no significant complication. At more than one-year follow-up, the motion and appearance of a patient's neck returned to normal, and no recurrence was observed. The etiology, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, and treatment of the disease were discussed.

OBJECTIVE:To guarantee the reliability of cold chain drug storage device and the quality of the drugs in the hospi-tal. METHODS:The establishment and effects of drug cold chain monitoring platform in our hospital were introduced as well as re-lated improvement and measures. RESULTS:The cold chain monitoring platform was established in our hospital through equipping with related equipment, constructing platform network, determining monitoring point, setting early warning condition, etc. All-weather and real-time monitoring of temperature and humidity were realized for different districts of the hospital and different cold chain equipments. The platform could provide the information about operating condition of equipment, and complete drug re-frigeration temperature record;equipment failure could be dissolved in time based on early warning message. Through analyzing rea-sons of early warning message, the unqualified equipment was updated in time, which further improve the system and procedure of cold chain monitoring platform. Within 2 years after the implementation of the platform,53 sets of special refrigerator for drug were updated. Monthly early warning message and the rate of refrigeration equipment early warning decreased from 6869 and 100% in Sept. 2014 at the early stage of short message warning function to 1083 and 40% in Feb. 2016,respectively. CONCLU-SIONS:The establishment of drug cold chain monitoring platform guarantees the reliability of cold drug storage condition so as to ensure the quality of drug in the hospital.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(2):174-179
Due to substantial morbidity and high complications, diabetes mellitus is considered as the third "killer" in the world. Medicinal fungal polysaccharides, as water-soluble macromolecular substances with low toxicity, exhibit diversified pharmacological actions such as immune regulation, anti-tumor, antivirus, antioxidant, anti-aging, hypoglycemic effect and improving liver and kidney function. In recent year, a number of investigators reported medicinal fungal polysaccharides showed good anti-diabetes and hypoglycemic activity, and their acting mechanisms involved in glycometabolism and β cell function, e. g. promoting glycogen synthesis, promoting glycolysis, inhibiting the activity of α-glucosidase, promoting insulin secretion, increasing insulin sensitivity, enhancing antioxidation. Therefore, the hypoglycemic activity and its mechanisms of action of medicinal fungal polysaccharides showed characteristics of multiple effects, multi-target, and multi-pathway regulation. These finding suggest that medicinal fungal polysaccharides are a promising source for the development of discovery of anti-diabetic agent.
