Objective To investigate the expression and effect of secondary lymphoid tissue chemokine(SLC)in experimental ulcerative colitis(UC)in rats.Methods Thirty Spague-Dawley rats were divided into control group and UC group.SLC expression in colon tissues was detected by RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry,respectively.Results The transcriptional level of SLC in UC tissues was significantly higher than that in the control group(0.846?0.07 vs 0.312?0.12,P＜0.01).The positive expression of SLC was concentrated mainly on submucosa,and the positive rate of SLC protein expression in UC group significantly higher than that in control group(P＜0.01).Conclusion SLC overexpression could contribute to the pathological processes in UC rats,thus SLC may be an ideal ther- apeutic target for UC.

Objective To construct a system for three dimensional face scanning and measurement. Methods The measurement system was based on the principle of triangulation and the combination of gray-code and phase-shift structured light projection. The system software was developed for Windows XP with the aid of tools such as Visual C++ and Hoops. Results A three dimensional measurement system based on structured light projection was developed. The system hardware was composed of fringe projection unit, image gathering unit, system control unit and mechanical appearance, and the system software was composed of point cloud display and editing module. The lamp house of the system was 12V, the working distance was 900 mm, the scanning time was 5.5 s and the scanning field was 500 mm×400 mm. Conclusion The three dimensional measurement system based on structured light projection is a refined machine with safe light to eyes, and the accuracy and scanning speed are suitable to face scanning.

OBJECTIVERadial corrective osteotomy is an established but challenging treatment for distal radial malunion. There is an ongoing discussion about whether an opening or closing-wedge osteotomy between should employed. The purpose of the present study was to retrospectively compare the clinical and radio graphic results between conventional opening-wedge osteotomy and closing-wedge technique.

METHODSFrom January 2004 and December 2012,42 patients with extra-articular distal radial malunion were managed with corrective osteotomy and were followed for a minimum of one year. Twenty-two patients (5 males and 17 females, ranging in age from 25 to 75 years old) were managed with radial opening-wedge osteotomy and implanting of interpositional bone graft or bone-graft substitute, and twenty patients (4 males and 16 females, ranging in age from 19 to 79 years) were managed with simultaneous radial closing-wedge and ulnar shortening osteotomy without bone graft. The selection of the surgical procedure was determined by the surgeon. Each patient was evaluated on the basis of objective radio graphic measurements, and functional outcomes were determined on the basis of clinical examinations, including range of wrist motion, grip strength, pain-rating score, Mayo wrist score, and Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand (DASH) score.

RESULTSThe mean duration of follow-up was 36 months (ranged, 12 to 101 months) for the opening-wedge cohort and 28 months (ranged, 12 to 87 months) for the closing-wedge cohort. The two techniques were comparable in terms of complications. Post-operative volar tilt and ulnar variance were improved significantly in each cohort. The ulnar variance was more frequently restored to within defined criteria (22.5 to 0.5 mm) in the closing-wedge cohort than that in the opening-wedge cohort. The post-operative mean extension-flexion are of the wrist and Mayo wrist score were significantly better in the closing-wedge cohort. Differences in the pronation-supination arc, grip strength, pain-rating score, and DASH scores between these two cohorts were not significant.

CONCLUSIONThe closing wedge osteotomy technique is an effective reconstructive procedure for the treatment of extra-articular distal radial malunion. It is significantly better than the opening-wedge osteotomy technique in terms of the restoration of ulnar variance, the extension-flexion arc of wrist motion, and the Mayo wrist score.

Objective To explore the relationship between obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) and hypertension.Methods There were 1149 middle aged patients who were suspected to have OSAHS underwent polysomnography (PSG) from Jan,1999 to June,2011.The age of the patients ranged from 45 to 65 years. The patients were divided into 10 groups according to sleep apnea hypopnea index (AHI),group 1:AHI ＜5; group 2:5≤AHI ＜ 15; group 3:15≤AHI ＜30; group 4:30≤AHI ＜40 ; group 5:40 ≤ AHI ＜ 50 ; group 6:50 ≤ AHI ＜ 60 ; group 7:60 ≤ AHI ＜ 70 ; group 8:70 ≤ AHI ＜ 80 ;group 9:80 ≤ AHI ＜ 90; group 10:AHI ≥90.The incidence of hypertension in each group was tested using crosstabs method.The correlation between AHI,lowest oxygen saturation (LSaO2 ),age,body mass index (BMI) and hypertension were analyzed.Results Among 1149 suspected OSAHS patients,1004 were diagnosed as OSAHS by PSG.There were positive correlation between AHI and diastolic,systolic blood pressure ( r were 0.239 and 0.305,respectively,P ＜ 0.01 ). AHI was independent risk factor of hypertension(P ＜0.001 ).No statistically significant difference in the incidence of hypertension was found among group 1 and group 2,3,group 4 and group 5,group 6 to group 10 ( x2 were 3.821,0.005 and 1.325,P ＞ 0.05,respectively).There was significant difference in the incidence of hypertension among group 4 and group 1,2,3,group 5 and group 6 ( x2 were 2.615 and 4.300,P ＜0.05,respectively).There were two cutoff points at the AHI of 30 and 50.Conclusion With OSAHS exacerbations,the incidence of hypertension was significantly increased.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a serious chronic disease with high incidence, poor prognosis, and a variety of complications. Indoxyl-sulfate (IS) and p-cresol sulfate (PCS) are two typical gut-derived uremic toxins, which are produced by the co-metabolism of intestinal microbes and the host. With the progression of CKD, gut-derived uremic toxins such as IS and PCS accumulate in patients with CKD and thereafter accelerate the progression of CKD. Gut microbiota is closely related with CKD, and targeting gut microbiota to regulate gut-derived uremic toxins synthesis and metabolic pathways may be a promising strategy to delay the progression of CKD. In this paper, the relationship between gut microbiota, gut-derived uremic toxins, and CKD was analyzed, and the strategy to delay the progression of CKD by targeting gut microbiota and uremic toxins metabolism pathway was proposed.

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of intraluminal enucleation in transurethrat vapor- ization and electro-reesection of the prostate.Methods A retrospective analysis was reviewed in 62 case of prostatic hypertrophy,which were treated with intraluminal enucleation in vaporization of prostate.All pacients had a sucessful operation.There were 12 case in unipolar vaporization and 50 in plasmakenitic bipolar vaporization.Results Opera- tion time ranged from 50 to 162 minutes,with an average of 76min.Bleeding ranged from 40 to 200 ml,with an av- erage of 110ml.There was no blood transfusion.The weight of prostate was 62～138g,the catheter was maintained for 3～5 days postoperatively.The hospital stay was 7～10 days,average 8 days.All patients were cured.There was a fllow-up for 1～20 months,with an average of 8 months.The IPSS decreased by 22 points on average,and peak urine flow(Qmax)increasd to(16.8?3.3)ml/s.There wre no urethralstricture,permanent urinary incontinence, TURS,postoperative hemorrhage,retrograde ejaculation and recurrence.Conclusions Intraluminal enucleation in treatment of prostalic hypertroply is a new,safe,and effective method,which should be popularized in clinical prac- tice.
