Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2015;(15):2315-2319
BACKGROUND:Both microfracture and osteochondral transplantation are effective tools in the clinical treatment of articular cartilage defects.
OBJECTIVE: To observe the implementation results of microfracture and osteochondral transplantation in the treatment of articular cartilage defects.
METHODS:The clinical data of 50 cases (50 knees) of articular cartilage defects were retrospectively analyzed. There were two groups according to surgical repair methods: autogenous osteochondral transplantation+ microfracture in observation group (n=25), and microfracture in control group (n=25). Patients in the two groups were folowed up for over 24 hours to compare the Hospital for Special Surgery scores, clinical efficacy, adverse effects and complications.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The number of patients whose Hospital for Special Surgery score was > 85 points and 60 to 85 points in the observation group was significantly larger than that in the control group (P< 0.05), and the total treatment effective rate of patients in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (92%vs. 60%,P < 0.05). No complications occurred in both two groups. These findings indicate that osteochondral transplantation has better implementation results in the treatment of articular cartilage defects than microfracture.

Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2011;10(7):836-838
To analyze the reasons of injuries during surgical practices and explore the hazards and the corresponding preventive measures. The surgical interns don't receive enough training of injury prevention. They don't pay enough attention to the occupational prevention and are not skilled in operation, which causes high rate of sharp edged instrument injuries. Therefore, a perfect plan of education, training and treatment must be made to reduce the occupational injuries and blood sourced diseases.

Objective:To investigate the structural alterations of mitochondria and its role in neutrophil death induced by ONO-AE-248.Methods:Human neutrophils were cultured in vitro with ONO-AE-248(5?10-5 mol/L)and medium alone. Transmission electron microscopy(TEM) was used to detect the structural alterations of mitochondria and the level of mitochondria membrane potential by flow cytometry using mitocapture dying.Results:ONO-AE-248 resulted in extremely swollen mitochondria within 6 hours. Meanwhile, a rapid loss of mitochondrial membrane potential of neutrophils occurred, especially in 3 hours and 6 hours. There were obviously differences between spontaneous apoptosis and non-apoptosis programmed cell death induced by ONO-AE-248.Conclusion:The experiment results suggest that changes of mitochondrial structure and function be typically morphological, physiological and biochemical features in this unique form of neutrophil death, and that the mitochondrial pathway might play a more important role in ONO-AE-248-induced death of neutrophils.

Objective:To observe different effects of moxibustion at Zusanli (ST 36) and Yanglingquan (GB 34) on electrogastrogram (EGG) of patients with functional dyspepsia (FD). Methods:A total of 65 cases were randomized into a Zusanli (ST 36) group (n=33) and a Yanglingquan (GB 34) group (n=32) by random serial number, to receive moxibustion therapy to the corresponding point respectively. The 8-lead EGG was used before and after treatment to collect EGG parameter of the gastric body, antrum of stomach, lesser curvature and greater curvature, including the dominant frequency, slow wave percentage, average frequency, response area and motility index. Results:After treatment, the dominant frequency and slow wave percentage were improved in nearly the whole stomach area in Zusanli (ST 36) group, showing statistical significances (bothP<0.05); the slow wave percentage and average frequency were improved in stomach body and antrum of stomach in Yanglingquan (GB 34) group, showing statistical significances (bothP<0.05); moxibustion at Zusanli (ST 36) had a significantly higher influence on EGG than Yanglingquan (GB 34) , in which the lifting of slow wave percentage was significantly higher than Yanglingquan (GB 34) group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Moxibustion at Zusanli (ST 36) and Yanglingquan (GB 34) has the effect of adjusting abnormal EGG pattern in FD patients. Compared with Yanglingquan (GB 34), Zusanli (ST 36) has a superior effect in improving EGG in stomach area.
