Ebola virus (EBOV) and Marburg virus (MARV) belong to the family Filoviridae. Filoviruses cause severe filovirus hemorrhagic fever (FHF) in humans, with high case fatality rates, and represent potential agents for bioterrorism and biological weapons. It is necessary to keep surveillance of filoviruses, even though there is no report of their isolation and patients in China so far. To characterize MARV morphology, the Lake Victoria marburgvirus--Leiden was stained negatively and observed under a transmission electron microscope which is one of important detection methods for filoviruses in emergencies and bioterrorism. MARV showed pleomorphism, with filamentous, rod-shaped, cobra-like, spherical, and branch-shaped particles of uniform diameter but different lengths. Pleomorphism of negatively stained MARV is summarized in this article, so as to provide useful information for possible electron microscopic identification of filoviruses in China.

Objective:To investigate the application of Xingnaojing injection ( XNJI) in the patients of neurosurgery department to provide reference for the rational drug use. Methods:The retrospective investigation was applied to survey 200 hospitalization records with XNJI from a certain hospital between January 2014 and June 2015. The usage, dosage, medication purpose, course of treatment, compatibility and adverse effects of XNJI were analyzed. Results:The unlabeled use of XNJI was found in neurosurgery department, and 34. 50% of the surveyed patients were found that their diagnoses didn’t conform to the indications in the medicine specification of XNJI. Moreover, 92. 50% of the inpatients were treated with overdose and almost 90. 00% were treated with single drug dose of 40 ml. It was also found that XNJI was often combined with potassium chloride or with potassium chloride plus insulin in clinical use. Conclu-sion:There is some irrational use of XNJI in clinics, thus the use and management of traditional Chinese medicine injections should be strengthened and regulated.

Chinese Medical Ethics 1994;0(05):-
Bioethics, one of the focus subjects in 21 century, attracts the attention in the worldwide.Originated from western developed countries,it has been branded with distinct western civilization, which is disadvantageous to the development of the subject. Some suggestions are put forward as following: 1.Communication between the East and the West should be promoted in order to form a solid multi-cultural base for bioethics. For instance, in America ethics bears the imprint of religious conventionality, while in China politics is infiltrated into traditional ethical ideas. Both of them are not perfect. So they cannot form the base of bioethics. 2.Research on the "base line" of the bioethics should be emphasized in order to provide freer academic atmosphere. Transplanting the western bioethical ideas to the developing countries will never work. As for the bioethical"base line",different countries should establish feasible ethical codes according to their own actual situations. 3.Scientists should be encouraged to adopt various technical ways to explore the problems in the field of bioethics.Such methods as tissue-engineering,antologous stem-cell replanting and cell diffrenttation inducing may bring about earlier breakthrough than fetus stem-cell.Equal attention, encouragement and support should be given to bioethics.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2006;12(8):729-730
ObjectiveTo observe the effect of sport walking on heart and lungs functions in old women.MethodsForty-two old women aged from 60 to 69 had sport walking for 4 months; the speed and intensity were controlled according to their heart rate respectively. The indexes of respiration, circulation and rheoencephalography were measured before and after exercise.ResultsAfter exercise, blood-pumping function of heart improved obviously, stroke volume increased from (65.22±11.41)ml to (72.10± 10.78)ml, ejection fraction increased from (60.10±5.03)% to (68.78±6.25)%, while heart rate declined from (77.45±8.69) times/min to (7.89±8.21)times/min, capacity increased from (2.86±0.36)L to (3.34±0.53)L, and maximal voluntary ventilation for every minute increased from (96.14± 15.21)L to (114.02±16.01)L, significantly different compared with that before treatment ( P<0.01). The fluid time of rheoencephalography reduced from (0.171±0.058)s to (0.128±0.049)s ( P<0.01).ConclusionSport walking under proper intensity can improve the function of respiration and circulation system in old women, so it is a good way to keep health for the elders.
